Can you imagine?
What if I kept up with Violin this whole time? I would have been playing Violin for 7 years now.
I could be playing like Lindsey Stirling!
What do you wish you picked up or never put down? haha
(P.S. Hey, I'm Laurie! I'm kinda new to Subeta, so nice to meet you (: )

My sinister bass, tinkering with my Legos, certain cooking, drawing, I wish to have been more involved with automotive when younger, and one more that no longer matters.
I'm fine trying for this, but I tend to be the first to answer. Southpaw'd tendencies.
I've been thinking about getting back in to painting/drawing, especially with this quarantine going on now is as good a time as any to pick something up right?

Hi! This is a nice idea for a chit chat question.
I wish I would have kept up with learning French. I took French lessons for 8 years through middle and high school but when I went to college I didn't have room for it in my schedule and stopped practicing it. Since then, I've always been intimidated and scared to practice when it comes to learning languages on my own, but in a perfect world I'd be studying learning more languages. Maybe it has to do with me still deep down caring if I look "dumb" in front of others even though I don't like to admit that. Idk.
Also, baton twirling. Not that I'd be doing it much now but I wish I would have pursued being a majorette in high school and kept up with it after. It's just an uncommon & interesting thing.
Hello! Thank you :3
Oh! French is so hard to learn, I admire that you kept with it as long as you did! I tried to learn Japanese for a few years and got DECENT at it, but I dropped it.
You should totally pick up a language you like! I'm sure you'd do great, don't worry what anyone thinks because you're doing it for you, not them :D (I should take my own advice hahaa)

Part of the reason I dropped these have been college. But with the quarantine I could set up to try and resume when classes end.
For now I can't keep up with studying Russian, a lifelong dream. On account of lack of data until I can pay the next month.
I also find it hard to focus on anything for more than 45 minutes. I try to make that a plus.
you should try to make a plan to resume some of your hobbies once classes end since we will still need to isolate as much as possible probably for the rest of the year. What kind of Lego project would you like to start on?
Russian seems like one of the most difficult. It's awesome that you know even some Japanese . It all seem so difficult if you don't grow up learning 2 languages.
I agree with ! If it's possible you should totally make it happen!
I think every language is hard lmao I wish I was blessed with growing up learning 2 languages

I want to pick up on a mircobuild castle ruin. I already have a bucket of grey elements, and a base to set it on. Even a simple story to explain it.
Well, Russian would be my third, I'm fluent in English and Spanish. I did well early on from being self taught.
I wish I would've kept up with writing. It was something I was good at and had fun with. Now when I try to write, it feels tedious or forced.

Buying: CW's with lots of csc from here!
that sounds cool as hell. I wish I had enough imagination to make stuff out of Legos without a blueprint. Take advantage!!
I'm SURE your writing powers are lying dormant somewhere in there! Keep trying ♥ You're probably being hard on yourself or overthinking it, just let it flowwww~

I want to do something with them before I would donate the rest. They're just taking up space, going unused.
How much time I invest depends on whether I can get a job, I was hinted about some general laborer nearby.
that's super nice that you'd donate them :) fingers crossed that you get the job and still have the will to build the castle ruin!!

Only finals are in the way, before I would spend any time on my endeavors.
[edit]5/18 Today I get to begin what efforts I can put into my previously mentioned projects. I'll start with the first pages of my sketchy story.
How is everything going? How was finals? Is this your first story? I used to write all the time, but that's one of those things I wish I went through with lol
[tot=Lovelylaurie] [tp=Lovelylaurie]
Finals were online, in my case the tests were either a set of larger assignments or the last of the course. I didn't do as well as I should have, I passed the automotive course with a 98.6, but the computer course was much worse. It looks like if I'm going to take anything for fall, it'll be out of pocket as well.
As for my story, it's a slow and sporadic process. And it would my first, as well as my only story. I want to focus on the four characters that are most developed, in a self discovering angle. It'll be quite some time before something comes out.
98.6 is excellent! Happy for you :) Hopefuly you don't have to take too many classes in the fall, do you think there are any scholarships you could go for?
That's pretty exciting that it's your first, I used to get so happy when I would let a close friend or two read some blurbs and see how they liked it. It seems you're really setting yourself up right now, I wish I had more of an outline i[/i] when I used to write.
[tot=Lovelylaurie] [tp=Lovelylaurie]
I would take a slow approach for now, I took about a year to just to pay one semester's tuition and books. I don't inow if any scholarship is available in my case, with a low average and such.
My old notes can at least give me some headway before going to my creative juices entirely. Once they are put in digital form, I can put them to rest.
Yeah even if you took 1 class a semester, that's still progress! I decided college wasn't for me, hopefully I can get in to culinary school within the next few years.
Seriously good luck on that project, I wish you nothing but the best!

My first take in ten years has been less than expected. I'm glad to see how the operative portion went well. I only assume when I retake the computer course it'll be better, with prior experience.
Well, that hardest part is getting illustrations made of my characters. I would want to include a section in as many styles possible.
