Does anyone know what kind of balloons the Balloon Hunt game accepts for donations? I've tried different ones,but nothing seems to work. :(

What do you mean they don't work? I just donated an orange balloon.

The news for it says, "The only requirement is that the balloons are actual balloons and were items once available from the Balloon Hut."

The following balloons work, and come in Black Blue Green Orange Pink Purple Red White and Yellow (not all items will come in all colors).

The balloon animals also work.

There are a few more that will also work, but a bunch don't. So far the ones I've tested that don't work are Rarity 175. Of the rarity 160 balloons, some work, some don't.

The note says balloons that used to be in the balloon shop, but if, like me you have a bad memory or you weren't a member back when that shop existed, there's nowhere to find out which balloons those are.

Pretty sure that all of the balloons from the Carnival Prize Tent work as donations! (Do test that though before buying a huge stack...)

Balloon Donation is a relatively quick achievement to knock out if you go at it. There's a bit of grinding, but it's all systematic.

500 balloons from the tent will cost 500 carnival tickets. Now, there are two three ways of getting that, the fast or the cheap or the middle ground ...

Cheapest: The Mallarchy Pond game seems to be the most reliable way of getting Carnival Tickets. I'm averaging 2.2 tickets per play, so you'll need to play around 225 times. Each play costs 2 wizard tokens, so you'll need around 450 tokens.

Middle ground: As well as Wizard Quests, Wizard Tokens can be bought in various denominations. Usually the is cheapest per point. Maximum price is usually around 3,000 sP per point, so at the most you'd spend 1,350,000 on them.

Fastest: However, Mallarchy Pond can only be played once every 12 minutes. So that'll be some weeks of "every time you remember to play". If you'd rather spend money than time: most of the balloons can be bought in usershops for ~25,000 sP so total cost = 12,500,000 sP.

Final prize: sells at 12,000,000.

definitely not all balloons from the carnival shop work. Tested a few and the doesn't work. Didn't come close to testing the whole shop, so no idea how many more are a problem.

I'm not sure what buying WT does for you toward getting this Achievement in some middle way, there's no difference that I can tell?. It's very difficult to spend the entirety of the WT the Wizard Quest will give you each day on Carnival Games. Is questing for WT something people won't do?

I have a in my inventory, and none of them are showing up as options to donate. I remember the Balloon Hut, but I didn't visit often enough to remember it's inventory.

Just noticed all the balloons I've tried are over 160 rarity. :p I'll try some of the ones you suggested. I didn't think of items that weren't actual balloons (earrings, balloon animals, etc.) Edit: Hmm.. I'll be careful which ones from the shop.

facepalm I didn't think to check the prize tent. I was just looking at a list of balloons on subetalodge. ^_^ Thank for doing the math for me! I'm probably going to go for the slower route of doing the mallarchy pond. You're right that it's been the most reliable. (Also, you're right that it was the Galaxy Print Shirt I'm after. ;) I was going through the wardrobe, saw it, and have been after it since.)

I think what Pun was getting at is the cheaper, slower way is wizard questing and the middle ground is to just buy them outright? ('Course, I think that depends on what the quest asks for..) But I spent about that much to get a token shop item, so might just be worth it to get to the mallarchy game faster. BUT, this is all in the hopes I get reliable balloons from the Carnival shop. :/

For those, 3 of them were free gifts and one is a game prize so they wouldn't have restocked.
