There are several threads about favorite Pokemon, but what about the Leaders?

My all-time favorite Gym Leader is Lt. Surge. He used my favorite Pokemon, Raichu, and I really like how friendly he turned out to be when you get to interact more with the Leaders in Gen IV! (Plus, I ended up taking him on as one of my side characters in Pokemon RP, and had an absolute blast writing him. However, Piers is giving him a run for his money - I've been dying for a Dark Type Gym, and I love what a cool, good hearted guy he turned out to be (and I love his design!)

Overall, I think Gen V and Gen VIII have the Gym Leaders with the most personality.

Oh man I pretty much have a favorite gym leader for EVERY gen so it's so hard to pick just one haha. But for the latest game, I love Kabu so much! He looks so composed but all his animations are so extra and energetic that it makes me laugh every time~ Piers and Raihan are also such good characters in Sword/Shield! I agree that all the Gen VIII leaders seem like they have the most personality of all the games. The little details they put into all their animations (especially each leader's dynamax throws!) shows so much of their personality even when they aren't speaking.

Sword/Shield is the newest so the characters from there obviously stand out in my head the most, but Raihan has crept his way into being my new favourite. He has a lot of personality, and I kind of like how... feral? he is when he battles haha!

I really like Volkner, Piers and Elesa too.

I gotta go really old school and say Blaine from gen 1.

I loved his revamped gym in Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu.

I never really had a favorite gym leader before, but with gen 8, I can finally say one of them has caught my attention, and she's THE MAGNIFICENT FAIRY-TYPE GYM LEADER OF GALAR - OPAL!!! I freaking adore her. The Fairy-type is my absolute favorite, and she's just so cute and charming!! (You can imagine my extreme disappointment when I - the pink pixie queen of all things fairy - wasn't selected to become the new Gym Leader of Ballonlea!!! D:<) Her scene with Bede back in Hammerlocke after defeating her gym is what sealed it for me. I found that scene completely hilarious and relatable AF because I'm the sort of obsessive personality who would do just that sort of thing. "Pink! Pink! PINK!!!" xD That being said, I am also a huge fan of Bede's because he's a total tsundere, and I'm an absolute sucker for tsundere characters.

I always had a thing for Koga lol, gen 1 poison ninja. I like Blaine also, and Kabu, I love fire types! And I agree Piers has an awesome design!
