I'm going to suggest just bringing the site back up to snuff before working on the cosmetics of it. While I'm on that subject, I personally think centering the pages makes the site looks infantile and incredibly ugly. I know..probably the minority but I'm not a fan. It's not a natural way to read either and adds a clunky, bogged-down feel to perusing the site pages. It is also totally unnecessary, especially in light of not even managing to get the quests to reset properly, among the other still broken aspects.
That's a really spiffy car! Oh man it's so clean and shiny, it looks sleek and super fast. Can I drive it? There's no engine.
I've seen the posts about Keith making no money from here, and the posts about minimal coding staff and I'm not here to knock any of that. I'm here because we don't even have a fully functioning site right now; making it look pretty(?) with centered pages is the least of our worries.
It doesn't take a lot of time to make some paragraph styles, slap align:center in them, and apply them everywhere, but I do agree that it's not easy to read.
Would it have taken too much extra time during the time taken to make paragraph styles, add the align code, and apply them everywhere to change the seasonal spot on the dailies page so that it shows the proper seasonal event?
Of the 7 months that I've been a member (still a baby here, comparatively) almost 2 have been spent waiting through lag, reloading pages after lag ->heroku (tail) error->520 errors, waiting for the hover pop-up to see the names of items, guessing when training is done, waiting for the quests to be reset manually, checking the overload of notifications to find the one new post, losing the win stats on my baby battle pet to the stat bug, and fearing the intelligence wipe bug that is going around..to name a few.
That's the bit that's bothersome. Rather than fixing, they're adjusting, tweaking the un-broken bits while we're still waiting after how long, for the site to simply run as well as it did before the maintenance/move.
I don't know what happened to the layout, but it does make some stuff look messy (like forum pulse shows the thread topic left-aligned, but username centered). And I think it messed up something in the coliseum that gave Aboxalypse its own row, and tabs for secret, CS and super are now not working (for me and some others) properly; it shows the normal opponents, and forces me to scroll down to the opponents of the tab I selected.
Whether this was intentional or not, in trying to figure out why the ads are misbehaving and affecting GA users, it would be nice to hear an explanation from staff, or at least be told if it'll be reverted afterwards.

I don't think they meant to center everything and I'm sure it is on their list along with 50 other things. Websites are like cars. You fix one old issue and it breaks 5 more. I'm just thankful we can connect and get our daily clicks in. Melody and bathhouse to be specific. It probably is annoying questing, but I'm bad and never do them so I can't speak on it.
I haven't done much questing since the move. I'd been slowing down on it even before then but the lag/errors sealed the deal. Didn't do any the first time GA was given and I think I only did a solid 15 quests once for a couple of the NPCs I tend to quest for the second time. I has been my own choice to let the lag pockets and errors win, but it's sad too cause I spent a ton on Lumi gifts and could use the income. It's just not enjoyable in this state and seeing little to no fixes or even communication about the issues but rather aesthetic changes is sad.
I'm still new so I lack the devotion people often feel for a place they fell in love with and have been with since its infancy. Even so, I have enjoyed much of my time here and I want to keep doing so, but it's difficult when every day is the same broken thing.
I hope you're right and that it was accidental, but since centering requires the addition of the code, I'm skeptical. That said, I am thankful that we've been allowed to mod the site to the extent that we can place CSS to change some of the aspects we don't like. I hope that gets fixed soon.
it really.....i hope it wasn't intentional. it looks gross and it's super jarring to read 😢
I was assuming it was an error! I hope it is lol. As odd as it is to say I hope it’s just another bug.
Everyone keeps talking about the centering but I honestly do not see it. o.o Aboxalypse is sharing its row too.
Although, on the subject of unannounced cosmetic changes, what happened to the item names? Where did they go?
For what it's worth, I'm using the Arctic Frost theme and I haven't seen any centering, so this discussion is a bit baffling. I'm not using any custom CSS, either. Maybe try out a different theme and see if the alignment is different?
Interestingly, I removed my CSS (I'm using the Autumn theme) - Some of it's still centered but some isn't.

and now I cannot put it back D: oh well
I haven't had any issues with the site layouts that other people have. I'm unsure why things are broken and centered for you guys (and challengers tabs are normal for me), but it's not a universal problem. :/
I think maybe the layout issues are happening to non GA members, possibly could be due to ads? Like even if blocked some how the ad coding could be messing with the site layout? Just a guess, sorry
One more data point to validate 's hypothesis. I'm having these weird centering issues, and don't have a GA activated. It's affecting a lot of things, including quests, forums, and battle opponents.

That's a good hypothesis. Ads have been getting out of hand and injecting themselves everywhere. I'll browse the site a bit and see what happens with the ads.
[edit] yeah, ads appear to be pushing things around a bit. Especially on the news page, the one sidebar that lists dailies and upcoming events is pushed all the way down to the very bottom of the page as a result. Now with adblocker on, the news page is back to normal. So...I don't know. It's frustrating. A lot of these glitches can't be replicated or aren't affecting everyone. Maybe we're just going to have to list our specs in our forum signatures from now on (IE, Firefox, PC/windows 10) =/

I think is probably right, I noticed the weird centering issues pretty much the same time that people started reporting new video pop-up ads appearing.
I don't have a gold account active, and even though I use an ad blocker, I think whatever the ads are doing to the site is still affecting the way the pages are appearing for me even though I'm not seeing the ads themselves.
On the subject of center align and themes; I was using the Riverside Valley theme and seeing center alignment on the dailies page, FAQs page, main forums page, and the comments of the news page. Sub-forum pages and threads are left aligned. I changed to no theme, logged out and cleared cache. Still center aligned. Now using the Welcome to Subeta theme after again logging out and clearing cache and still seeing centered.
I don't have GA, I had the gifted one but I can't for the life of me remember if I saw the center align while it was active. The Lumi trees didn't play well with Chrome for me so I switched to Firefox around the start of the holiday and I'm using Ghostery for ad and tracker blocking. Prior to the change in alignment I was using the same, with the only difference being that I've recently set Ghostery to completely restrict the site trackers.
It took a few days for the quest reset issue to hit me; I wonder if the alignment thing is meandering the same way that one is/was
No block test
Paused Ghostery and allowed everything tracker related through Firefox to make sure the extension isn't causing the problem. Still seeing center alignment everywhere I've been seeing it, but now there's 9 to 12 trackers per page and ads. Oddly, the remove this ad text that's been at the top of the pages is not there, and the ad popped up from the bottom left corner of the window. I suppose it could be different for other people but in my case, disabling my protections does not fix the issue.
It's been a few days since I did quests so I don't know when it happened but for me their text is now center aligned.
EDIT TO ADD: Code fix for the alignment if it bothers you: /restore left text alignment/ .mt-3.mb-3, .pb-3, .m-3, .col-10, .ui.message, .bg-light.p-3.mb-3, .basic.segment, .top.attached.segment.inverted.posted.ui, .bottom.attached.progress {text-align: left;} Courtesy of
