Let me start by saying I love when the CW pawn shop is open! I love that we were given advance notice and it is open for a whole week. It is great to be able to see all our wishlist items on one page (or more if you have a lot!) and being able to view each layer is nice, too.
But. It could be easier to navigate and most likely more csc would be spent with a few changes to make it more user friendly. During the cool-down time between buying from my wishlist items I like to browse all the other stuff. I never know what I might be missing, might have never seen to even put on my wishlist. So generally I browse by layer. Early on yesterday there were 50 pages in the head layer which is where I like to start. Even now there are still 46 pages. That is a lot to browse through if you want to actually see what the items look like using the hover. I have pretty much given up on looking at all of them.
The head layer is probably the fullest but the chest layer is a lot, too. Same with feet. At least when the shop first opened up they were.
I am sure Subeta users have lots of ideas for how it can be more user friendly. Personally, I found myself repeatedly thinking how much I wish there was a search feature. In face it feels like there was at one point, years ago. But anyway, being able to search for general terms (not exact item names!) would be so helpful. I would have loved to been able to search for "kitten fabric" or "picky" as in little piggy. And things like oxsies. I am sure people have lots of ideas of what they would like to be able to find quickly even if it isn't wishlisted.
And it would benefit Subeta when we make impulse buys, removing more csc from the system. Probably in other ways, too.
tldr: give us a smart search feature and other way to more easily find non-wishlisted items in the pawn shop, please
because I know you were talking about this too.
YES! Lol Hahahaaa after that first ‘quick’ look for my wish list, I seem to find more things (and buy, shhhhhhh) from when I browse!
Like I didn’t even realize how much I love the ‘lorikeet’ shoes! Till I bought some last time PW was open. They were some of the first things I bought this time because I saw them when I was browsing, this time too.
I could have sworn there was a ‘search’ feature at one time. I would love to put in ‘white’ when I was in wigs, and see what came up.
Or have little tabs of the alphabet, that you could click on, so you could jump to that section faster.
A search feature would have my full support. Even if you just added in to the "search shops" like the rest of the pawn shop, I wouldn't have to page through everything that's on my WLs to find my high priority items. Like many people I have a wishlist category that is actually an owned list, so wishlist view shows me mostly stuff I already have!

Word search would be great. I wish I could look for recolors of certain CWs (like, if I can't get the one I want the most maybe I'll be tempted with a recolor but I won't put all of them on my WL!). As it is right now, I just look thru BG, FG and chest layers as they usually hold CWs I'm most interested in and simply leave out the rest cause I don't have time to wait for the hover to load on hundreds of items. (alternatively, would be nice if the hover preview was already there, like it is in CW shops in Cash Shop right now, but I imagine that would make loading times at high traffic even worse).
I would appreciate a search feature. I know while I was browsing, I Ctrl+F'd a few things to check out what was available so I definitely would have used a search feature if it existed.
I don't know that the alphabet letter links are necessary though since everything is already in alphabetical order

I feel like a straightforward search would just make it easier to snipe all the more desirable things at the start. I thought the wishlist view was very generous already!
I definitely thought "a search function would be so much easier" while ctrl+F searching through the lists, but I knew that everything I wanted to search for would be searched by everyone else, as well. Muse strands, picky piggies, cheetah sweaters, etc. They went fast as they were, but not being able to single them out meant more people had a chance to grab one by finding it treasure-hunt style!

I kinda wanted an option to filter by price. I would say the majority of things are 450 CSC, but some are 150 - 350 CSC, and it would have been nice to have a way to just look for those when I had 360 CSC left.
Can we have a means to go through it alphabetically instead of by numbers? It's cumbersome going through X amount of CW names starting in A before I even get to the B section, etc.

I'd also like a search, it would be helpful for looking for friend's wishlist items without having to wishlist all their wishlist items yourself... Also when you search for an item on the shop search, can it have that thing come up that says "available in the pawn shop" when the pawn shop is active?? You might never even know something's in there otherwise...
More than once I've thought a separate 'owned' database might be helpful for those with hundreds of CWs so they're not mixing in with WLs, but I def. get why it might not be possible RN.
I would just be happy for a search, but I also get why not.
I guess I get where you're coming from. I don't buy snaily skirts, picky little piggy sweaters and oxsies, but those would be gone in a heartbeat I guess. Pretty much the only really popular items I always want are bunner gowns and lolita bows. I don't do a lot of modern-day HAs, the one I have on right now is quite representative.
However, my WL is also full of hard to find things that I usually find in the PS every year or so because...I'm the only person who wants them, and people don't think they can sell them. And it takes forever to find them while working around my owned list that also shows up.
did they raise prices? I remember a lot more things going for 350 last year and before. But yeah, a price filter would be great, I found a cute piece of jewellery for just 150!

You're right, it would make things easier to snipe. I hadn't thought ab out that. But personally, if it is something I really want I have it wishlisted and I am not going to just buy up something else because it is there. Like pointed out, if what I do have on my wishlist is not in there I might want to look for other colors of it.
I hadn't even thought about the people who have their owned on their wishlist. That would confuse me so much, and not just in the pawn shop. Maybe some day we can talk Bug into giving us a few options for other colors on our wishlists to designate different things; owned, friends, etc.
I think it depends on the layer or the kind of item? Like hair and chest items are 450 CSC I think, jewellery could go as low as 150 CSC, and pants and held are 250CSC. I think there were exceptions even to that though. It's just a general pattern I noticed.
while it might be intentional that it's so time consuming to navigate, i do feel like the items could be displayed more efficiently like they are in other shops instead of in these two big columns that require you to constantly mouse back and forth across to see what's what, scroll down a little, do more big cursor zig-zags, and so on. makes it a pain to look at what's actually there.
I would like to see two things: An option to view the HA overlay instead of the item image, and a drop down list for pages so I can quickly skip to a specific page. Both would make finding desirable items that much quicker, while still avoiding the issue of a search making it too easy to snipe items outside of your wishlist.
What bothers me about the pawn shop are 1.) layers actually don't show everything in that layer and 2.) wtf is a jacket doing in the head layer?
some cws are submitted in the wrong layer and staff doesnt rly mind (sometimes)
We're not going to do anything while the shop is open (just in case something happens!!), but we will be taking these ideas into consideration for before we open it up again. <3
You mean to tell me you're not going to like, roll the site back to before it opened {saving me from that stupid misclick!}, institute all our faboo suggestions and then reopen? Rude! I bet there are a lot of users here who have never experienced a roll back! They are really missing out ;)
Since I am wishing and dreaming here how about next time having it open for a week or so of window shopping (no buying) so we can see everything and prioritize. Or, if you need a beta tester for that I volunteer:D
