I've been getting a lot of notifications about achievements lately. Often, I'll be told I've earned exactly the same achievement exactly three times. But, when I view my achievements and select "earned", I'm told there's nothing there. I've even "earned" achievements I've definitely not qualified for, and from what I can see might be missing achievements I do qualify for. Is the whole system broken right now?

When I went through the tutorial, I was told to do some quests. I did so, and earned a lot of money - most of which I've now spent. I want to go back to earn more but I can't find a link to the quest page anywhere. I've tried likely URLs to no luck. I've even found a couple of quest shops via links in the forums. But the actual quests? Can't find them.

On a similar note, I've seen reference to a batthhouse, and how it's good to go there every day (daily freebie I think?). I can't find the bathhouse itself anywhere either.

In fact, I've had to find links to a lot of evidently important parts of the site through the forums, because they're not in the navbar. I've found the bookmarks feature, which is pretty great. So I suppose my questions are:

Which pages should I bookmark (and can you please link me directly to them)? Which sidebar sections should I enable? (Currently have navigation, username, and currency)? Is there an optimal site theme/userstyle to aid navigation?

Can a pet uneat a food or unread a book, or am I just stuck with off-flavour stats forever?

Some folks on the forums have their pet's avatar beside their post. Some don't. I don't. How do I turn that on?

Oh and on the subject of acceptable content: You may have noticed my avatar is a tad crude (what else was I supposed to do with that crotch-snake? Seriously?). I had planned to turn it into an even cruder joke still (and still will, if I can get the items I need) but....while these items do exist on site and are presumably okay by that measure, would I be better off abandoning the idea? I notice swearing is okay within reason, and certain sexual references are also cool...but how far does that go? The rules are uncomfortably vague. Can I openly make vore jokes, for example?

Finally, I've found the wardrobe a delightful passtime, but I'm making a lot of oufits I'll never wear (because money, mainly). Is there somewhere on my profile I can display these (like a collection) or should I just start a forum thread?

I'm not sure about the first question, that might be something you have to file a ticket for and contact the staff! Ticket page!

The second one though, you need either a potion or an elixir. I'm assuming you mean Glade, so you'd need a Glade Potion!

I think you might be trying to use names already taken by other users? Pet names are Unique here, which means you can't have the same name for a pet as someone else's pet. So there can't be two pets named John, but there can be a pet named John and a pet named Johnn.

At least I think that's what you mean? The "someone already owns pet (insert name)" message is the message you get when a name is already taken.

Ohh that would be it.....I wanted to name it Dali.

yeah, unique pet names are a thing here, but there are a couple of threads that collect free names and offer them up for use! lock plz! and Available Real Word Pet Names 3.1

but unlike neopets, pet names clear from inactive accounts here, and you're allowed to change your pet's name.

While I'm here: Is there a wardrobe somewhere? Somewhere I can view all apparel that exists and try out outfits?

run your mouse over personal and wardrobe will be in the list. click the checkmark beside "show items you own" and you'll view all items. the right-most dropdown, if you click, you can sort between site-made items and user-made items also known as custom wearables.

It's under the Personal tab labeled Wardrobe. You can see the clothing you've placed in there, as well as everything else on site.

I tried that but it just shows me a small list of pre-set outfits. I don't want those. Is there any way to access the previews/equip my own apparel without selecting an enforced outfit?

I think you have to choose one of those as part of the tutorial and welcome to the site stuff, but afterwards you can change your outfit as many times as you want, as long as you own all of the clothing items you're trying to wear.

You have to choose an outfit the first time you use the wardrobe, and then you can look at either clothes you own or all clothes on site (I'd recommend looking at non-CWs, at least for now)

Well I can't take off the items it added. Outfit plan ruined.

Is there any way to blank out my outfit like it was before I got stuck with this?

EDIT: FIgured it out. Just drag "base" to the top.

There's also a Clear all button above the list, and Xs next to each item you're wearing (the eye button to the left of each item will hide it from view, but it'll still show if you choose to wear the outfit as is, and the X button to the right will remove the item completely)

You are not an idiot. Subeta is a complex game and some of us longtime players forget chunks of it.

There is a FAQ under Help, it's the upper right of the six boxes you get when you go there.

The color Glade can be gotten by using the Ultimate Pet Zapper. The UPZ is Mad Science, so this is a risky thing to do.

Never saw Darkrai's reply (whoops) but my issue was that choosing an outfit assigned me a face I couldn't remove. Dragging "base" to the top hides the face so it's not really a big deal.

1. selling and trading pets is against the rules actually q v q but sometimes people adopt out older pets on the adoption subforum or you could find one in the adoption centre! i look through it a lot and see pets with id's under 1 mil (usually born in 2011 or earlier) every few days c:

It seems I added a couple of extra questions right before you replied - just my luck. Still, you've been super helpful.

I had no idea selling pets was against the rules. Subeta is so different to every other petsite I've played, I keep running into huge surprises like that. I guess I'll take a look through the adoption forum and buy more space because I already own more pets than I expected to.

the most straightforward way to raise stats is through the training centre. there's also boosters, which are one-use items that boost a certain stat/stats and there's a list of those on Stat Booster List v2.0 and intelligence can only be raised by reading books/some boosters

alright so the job titles listed on the job agency aren't the only ones there are, because if a pet has a job they can get a promotion which gives them a new title. like for instance a pet can start as a "Part-Time Test Subject" at Asmodeus Genetech Lab and then eventually upgrade to "Certified Mad Scientist" i think someone compiled a list of all the jobs but i can't seem to find it ;;

also lmao i totally get that!! i reckon subeta's more of an old-style pet site so like, it's p different from other popular ones around now haha

Thank you again! And yeah I'm used to more modern petsites like Lioden and Flight Rising. I've seen a lot of different mechanics and different approaches to the same mechanic, but Subeta really blows that out of the water. I was actually a bit annoyed when I first found out (I can't even create pets for some of my fave OCs because their names aren't exactly unique), but I think if a petsite is going to have unique names, banning the sale of pets (and names) mitigates a lot of my bigger concerns.

Are promotions automatic, or would I have to accept them? I want one pet to remain a Test Subject forever.
