Why are the cash shop boosters so unreasonably priced?

For example.. The Tallis Enchanter costs 100 csc, which translates to roughly 10-12mil sp. It gives 2-3 stats in str, def, hp, and speed, which is roughly 2.5 * 4 = 10 tiered stats. Compare this to a tome, which can range in price from 2-3mil in the shop search from other users. This item will give 1-3 stats in lvl, str, def, hp, speed, and intel, which is roughly 2 *4 = 8 tiered stats and the bonus of intel, which is much more expensive than the other stats.

Obviously these items are priced in this fashion because there is effectively an unlimited supply of them and SubetaTeam probably doesnt want people to drop 5k usd on these boosters and immediately have a capped t13 pet. But imo, this pricing is too unreasonable, a 25% reduction would be a good compromise.

Also, why don't they go on sale? Why does Subeta not care to give any discounts to anything related to battlers?

Why do they give such a large range of stats?

The Sturdy, Swift, and Powerful charm all give 3-7 of their respective stat, why is that? These items are cash shop items, which means that at some point, someone spent money on this site in order for those items to come into existence on this site. Why is there such a large range in possible outcomes for the boost? This site as a whole has been moving away from chance bags, why are these boosters not treated in the same way? Please change them to just give a flat 5 stats, as that is the average stat gain anyways. There's no need to add extra RNG to these overpriced boosters.

If subeta expects anyone who has any math skills to buy their boosters from the cash shop, I think either one or both of these changes are very reasonable. As it is now, I seriously doubt anyone buys them from the CS for the purpose of boosting their pet.

TL;DR CS boosters cost way too much, and stat ranges on them suck. Change, pretty please?

I completely support this. While I would love to stock up on boosters, these lack any kind of stability of stats, and aren't even discounted for the sale. They're not worth it. There seems to be a lot of routes of improvement available for a Cash Shop exclusive item.

Definitely support a flat stat raise instead of the random range, 5 is fine assuming it's an even distribution, currently. If you're spending real money on something, I'm always a fan of knowing exactly what you're getting in return.

Don't care as much about the price. SubetaTeam can pretty easily adjust the frequency that tomes and other boosters go out without much trouble, but there's way more pushback when CS items change value. Trying to equalize the price with current csc/tome prices is a losing battle. Stats weren't that all much less expensive when csc was 25/500 or 10/500. Wouldn't complain about a deduction, though. Curious how many of these are actually selling...

Yeah I found it a little jarring to go into the battle section and see those not discounted... I know last year they had been. A little tweak to them would be nice to see. Support.

I agree with all your very well-articulated points!

However, I'm also wondering if this might just be an error. It looks like the entire "Battle" tab/category does not have the discount applied and these boosters are now in there. But previous sales I'm pretty sure they were half off (so priced at 25csc for the individual stats and 50 for the combo) - which is still not exactly market value, but it's at least a bit closer.

I was surprised to see these not discounted this year because they have been in the past.

My answers: Why are the cash shop boosters so unreasonably priced? When they were introduced, the prices were reasonable, but CSC has inflated over time.

I noticed that too. I can understand if they decided not to discount CS boosters anymore, but they should lower the price or increase the stats they give.

Why do they give such a large range of stats? I have no idea. I agree, flat stats are also better because you can figure out exactly how much to spend to reach a certain goal.

Some questions I'm also wondering about: Why were they released? Years ago when there was "Keith Answers," he mentioned something about not putting boosters in the CS. Why did Subeta change their mind?

Why are there no health and intel CS boosters? If we wanted high hp or intel, why can't we have the choice to buy these boosters from the CS?

My thoughts: I've been scratching my head at many choices that have a large impact on battling, and this is another one of them. Since the beginning, I believe CS boosters weren't necessary mainly because of 3 things:

  1. Someone could have just sold CSC and bought tomes instead
  2. Inflation would render them irrelevant
  3. It's another CSC sink which contributes to inflation

lmao

I haven't really seen many examples of those who heavily used CS boosters aside from when they were introduced and possibly the Black Fridays when they were discounted.

BTW, why aren't the CS challengers available all year? That's a contradiction, isn't it?

It might be an oversight that they arent discounted but I definitely still think they need to be adjusted to give a flat amount of stats instead of a wide range.

I also agree w the points about the HP/intel boosters, theres already an intel booster in the vesnali shop for a fixed price (that one is exorbitant as well) so it's not unprecedented.

In general, I completely agree w you, in that I fail to really see the benefit of these boosters other than to hopefully lure in some unsuspecting whale for subeta to profit off of.

Yeah, why not have this year's CS challengers available as well? This has always bugged me. They're not discounted, and it's not my fault I wasn't able to buy them in their respective month. There's this thing called prioritizing how to spend your money, and couldn't justify spending money on Subeta when I've got other important things to do first. Now I've got the money to support the site, but no reason to do so because those missed challengers aren't available for me to buy.

So if you, staff, want me to spend money here, I'm not seeing any good reasons why I should support this site if yer going with the "timed exclusives" route. That's scummy business practice. (also, where the hell is our CS challenger for this month? We're almost out of November, get your fucking act together)
