So I currently live in Michigan, and can't wait to move south where it's sunshine and happiness most of the day. I'd love to move someplace more west, like Arizona, but that just seems too far from family.
Where do you want to live, that is realistic/possible?
I don't have much experience outside of the US (except the Caribbean and tourist areas of Mexico, if that even counts), but if money wasn't an object, I think I would move to New Zealand. Mostly because Orcas. Orcas without it being freezing/dark half the time. What else could you ask for? ;)
What is your dream location to live?
I’m from upstate New York. It’s beautiful there but I wanted to travel around. I moved to Virginia and it sucked. Yet somehow I lived there for 6 years. I’ve always wanted to live in Colorado though...and 3 weeks ago I moved here to the mountains and so far so good and I couldn’t be happier :D
If money wasn’t an issue though, I’d move to Europe. Not entirely sure where I’d want to live, but Italy sounds wonderful. Or maybe Sweden. I’m still young so who knows!
I was born in South Korea, went abroad to study now I'm back here working and I I love it! 8D The only places that could see myself settling down after having lived there are Hong Kong, Singapore or Japan. 83

Honestly, unless some big opportunity landed in my lap I doubt that I'll be moving out of the city I was born in (it's familiar and I do really like living here even with the insane drivers and stupid amounts of snow). You'd be really, really hard pressed to get me to move out of Canada entirely.
I would certainly love to spend time in other countries, but without visiting I don't know if I'd want to live there.
I live out in a desert in Texas, its...not the best arrangement.
Out of the realm of possibility, I'd want to be as far from people as possible. So far that return is not an option.
But since that's a dumb dream, I'd be fine up in Alaska, I can tolerate the infernal summers here, but not the use of A/C. Cold weather is much more practical to me, where conserving body heat is easier than dissipating it. I like bundling up, I like using fire to keep warm.
I want to be among the majesty of Nature, where I could better meditate my issues. Finding peace with myself is the hardest endeavor I'll endure. The crowded, polluted, and noisy place I reside in is just the opposite. My accommodations now, only provide short glimpses of that.
I live in Brazil, I'd be super glad if I could move to Canada for hundreds of reasons, THOUGH I discovered that the profession I'm studying is basically impossible for me to work on there, so I'd need to re-study all of this if I wanted lol So I guess just living somewhere safer, uh. Unfortunately my only option then is just save money and go out of my parents house one day
):
This. I'm a traveler and I suffer of wanderlust all the time. That being said, Canada is home and will always be the place where I return eventually. I do want to own a car so I can get out of the crowded city and travel with my car. It looks like a good compromise!
Realistically, a little backwater ranch that's close enough to civilization that I wouldn't starve... like somewhere in Colorado or Montana. Where it's warm in the winter, cool in the summer and has safe enough housing for a slew of farm animals, two rescue pitbulls and a couple cats.

France hands down. Italy would also do. I know some French and some Italian, so language would be an issue until i get the hang of slang, and pace of speech, i guess.
I think it's more realistic and possible to consider France than Italy at the moment, though the later is somewhat closer to my current country (romania). My fiancee also has relatives in France (Paris), but we'd be more than happy to live in the countryside there, as it's also more affordable.
Dream location? any city/town with architecture dating back to the medieval times XD oh! and quiet. haha I've had it with the noise. It would be best if it would be close enough to the beach as well. ;)
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
I'm originally from Tennessee, living in Canada now. There's a town out in the badlands here that I want to move to so badly. It reminds me of home but I adore the badlands scenery.
I grew up in a very small town in Ohio. My dream was to move to the Pacific Northwest one day, and now I'm here in Washington state! Honestly, the only place that I think might be better than here would be Iceland, Norway, or maybe Scotland or Sweden. However, I'm not sure I would realistically make that big of a move. Moving across the country was difficult enough!
I'm currently in Canada, and I love it here. The only downside is that it does get cold, but luckily in the West coast, it's not as cold as the rest of Canada.
I want to live somewhere warm because - for some reason - I just love the heat. I went to Palm Springs this summer and it was 43 degree weather, and I loved it.
Hoping somewhere not as crowded as California, but like California. And near a body of water. I feel like I can't survive if there wasn't somewhere with a body of water to run to.
I wouldn't mind living in Sweden. I've heard it's pretty sweet.
Portland, Oregon. I live in Iowa, and it's been a long term goal to move to Portland. Fun fact: I'm moving there in 5 weeks.
If unrealistic, then Auckland, New Zealand. But I'd need to get a degree and bring in a much, much better income to immigrate to NZ.
I live in South Florida and have always wanted to go live in my parents hometown of Long Island, New York. I think I might be too much of a baby for the cold weather though.
I'm originally from Ohio but have lived in South Carolina for the past 20 years. I hate the cold too much to go back up north but the humidity of the South is unbearable, so I want to move out west to southern California. Ideally in a quieter town if possible. I visited last year and fell in love with the weather. I live in a town that has a population of 1200 though so just about anything is going to be a shock.
I can live inside a tiny apartment if it means good quality of life and easy access to buying what I want. Places that are too cold is a no-no.
I've just moved from London all the way over to Melbourne, Australia.
Emigrating is tough, but it's an amazing thing to do and it's also pretty character defining. Melbourne happens to be a great city - feels very European as opposed to Australian, has great coffee, cheap sushi and a lot of the perks of big city life like London (art, museum, bars etc) without feeling so chaotic. Having been born and raised in London, I will always gravitate towards the big cities so I think I'd love to live in New York for 6 months if I had the opportunity to (I work in TV Production so I guess it's not too much of a pipe dream..)
Although, having said that I used to spend all summer living with my italian family in the italian countryside and they were the best summers of all. Fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, fennel and basil every day - absolutely glorious!
I currently live in Texas - born here in a pretty small town; it used to be a railroad town years ago before it shut down. I ended up moving about three hours north to the DFW area, hoping that I would enjoy the city and more things to do but...I still hate it, ha ha. I don't particularly like living in Texas - it's too hot.
Ideally, I'd like to move up north to a quieter, more cold place. I'm thinking Maine, somewhere....or Pennsylvania or something. Not crazy big like New York. I'd like to live in one of the old victorian style houses, a painted lady maybe - but I don't know if I'll ever make it that far since ALL of my family is in Texas.
If I COULD move anywhere, dream location, I think my girlfriend and I would just sell our house, buy a camper and a lot of plane tickets and drive/fly all over the country/world. We don't like living in the same place for more than ~5 years but that could just be because we've both been in Texas all of our lives. We went to Alaska last year for our first trip out of state and that was INCREDIBLE - so it could just be Texas we don't like. If I had to pick a place to stay though, we'd probably be in Scotland or Ireland - doesn't really matter where as long as we aren't surrounded by a million neighbors.
