GENERAL UPDATES: July 26

AMBER: still too hot

It’s still so hot. It’s the worst.

Port Plunder’s quick links are fixed! Before Freyalise Ship and Trading Co were switched, they should match up correctly now.

I went ahead and pushed some of the accessibility stuff I’ve been working on with weapons/battling. I mentioned it a few weeks ago, but when you go to your item menu now for a weapon, if you hover over the icon it tells you what type of icon element it is and if it’s defense/damage. I have a lot more to do on this front, but wanted to get this lil thing out at least!

Everything else I’ve been working on this week has been item related, such as planning releases for the last week of the month (so many ocean things). ;) A lot of you have been asking if there will be a Quest-A-Thon soon, and I can say yes we will def have one this year! I’ve worked with staff to do some rad prizes for the next one, including a pet slot ;)

What use is getting the hover? The headline says "Damage" respectively "Defense" and the icons are for the element. Hidden/special attributes stay unknown. It's just repetative? Or am I overlooking something?

@ BoaConstrictor I think those were for accessibility, ie, blind players who use screen-reading text-to-speech software! a blind accessibility set of requests

The Quest-a-Thon news is exciting! I do see that you've mentioned that a pet slot isn't the only prize so maybe this request isn't justified... but is there any chance of an alternative prize option for the pet slot? I can't be the only user in this position: I haven't used the last few pet slot prizes and I never will.

Pet Slots 6/14 Extra Pet Slots Breakdown 0 from pet slot plushies and early totems (soft max 10) 1 from pet slot loyalty totems 0 from new slot additions (max 35) 0 from the Millionaire Center (max 15) 3 from awards and prizes

I don't care if it's something non-tradeable such as automatically-credited GA time or some amount of credit towards direct-to-collection in the Antique Shop, credit towards free training, or whatever else you guys come up with. I just really will never use more pet slots than I already have and unlike other prizes, I can't just sell it if I don't want/need it.

PET SLOT :D :D !!! (sorry I really need one- or two actually but I have a loyalty box coming up- because I have 2 ideas for new fanpets and I'm all filled up atm) really glad to hear about that <3

and yes it's SO HOT (I'm in europe and there's a literal official heatwave.. having to go outside in this weather at all is THE worst)
