Myself and some users from the shoutbox have been brainstorming colors and wanted to add some into the pool.

Since shengui guo was found, I've been dying for an origami pet. I think it would be amazing, and I bring it up every time colors are suggested.

Another suggestion I've had was "traditional shengui guo art" with a character on each pet that would be the word for the pet. The style seems to be a very fine mix between Chinese and Japanese, and since we have been removing the real world from subeta, why not create more based on this world? I don't know if you would per se want to create an entire alphabet/language, so that symbol suggestion may need to go away.

As an addition to the traditional art, I also thought a watercolor color would be great, with some splashes of watercolor paint along the edges of each pet.

I would love to see some new organic pets, like crystals or maybe acid. I'd also love to see the nuclear pets get reworked. The color is absolutely perfect for, say, toxic waste oozing from them eyes glowing, things of that nature.

I would like to see these design styles for pet colors in the future:

Feral: hyper realistic fur patterns/bodies with a primal stance to them.

Vintage: art deco style or rubber hose cartoony

Stainglass: bright vibrant colors with stark black outlined segments like a Stainglass window

I suggested Stainglass some years ago and I still think it is a very unique and nice color. Also origami can be nice, but can be too bland too? Like, all pets would be just pieces of paper? No facial expression, no body language...

Origami is a super cool idea, I’d love to see that tbh. a new color would be an awesome celebration of Shengui Guo.

I’m all for a Sakura/Cherry Blossom color, w lots of ribbons and petals Or a Spirit sort of color, w white eyes surrounded by wisps and floating lanterns

Origami color sounds so cool! I wonder if origami couldn't be a theme for a Nostalgic pet, tho... And the traditional art themed pets would fit really well with Shengui Guo.

Some of my own ideas/wishes (that might coincide with a lot of other ideas because of Zeitgeist and stuff like that):

• Cybertron (cyberpunk-ish themed, full of Tron lines, circuits and stuff like that)
• Riftborn (that goes without saying, it's one of the most desired colors, even)
• Pearl (they'd be pearlescent, but in various colors, which would be colors of actual pearls that most closely correspond to their Common colors)
• Holo (HOOOOOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ... it's hard to reproduce in a static drawing, tho)
• Glitter (not as hard to reproduce in static images as Holo, but the fun of glitter is being animated, I think)
• Pastel (we have Vibrant, so... that would be a counterpart, I think?)
• Sepia (well, I'd suggest a Monochrome color fill too, but Arid is almost that)
• Liquid (pets that seem to be made of water, a la Bottle Miku's twintails; it could be a Shengui Guo related color)
• Peppermint (it's also highly requested)
• Morostide (a color fill with orange and green [and oftentimes black and purple details too])
• Candycorn (an alternative to Morostide and a counterpart to Peppermint)
• Gummy (that kinda goes without saying)

Glacier is already the sad pet here, no other is needed.

The only pets we have that are non-living are the gargoyle and stuffed doll ones, and those are species related and not color related. Nostalgic is as close as we get to animation/origami/toy and it's a special-pose color already and not a colorfill. Maybe there's a particular pet whose Nostalgic form you'd like to be origami?

Many of the colors suggested here that are not duplicates are mild variations of already existing colors, like sepia is similar to cream. Get an overlay for these.

an origami color would be so cool! I have a fascination with paper cranes * w* the nostalgic zasaba is awesome except I don't like buggies

a sad/meek color would also be cool, kinda reminds me of the neopets grey color. glacier certainly doesn't portray this emotion at all imo, they are.. well.. cold. guarded. frigid anger.

would LOVe a pearlescent / iridescent / holographic color as well as the shengui guo color, then my dreams of having a foo dog can come true.

I strongly agree with Those colors sounds wonderful! I would also adore a regal skin, each pet maybe dressed royally or having ornate designs or jewelry to make them look like kings and queens

well i know is old i have some ideas of some pet color i would love to seen in future:

-Peppermint: based these plushies but now into pet idk i find these plushies are cute <3 -cybernetic: a counterpart to steamwork but in cyberpunk like hightest technology robots pets -luminaire?: unsure about it but these plushies are cute well people doesnt agree with it but i mind if these pets can have that color (when i remenber some nostalgic pets wearing clothes like ontra for example) -Minion?: okay im sorry i imagine pets based their Minion partner but only pets how can match but i feel can be difficult -candified: again based these plushies? lol plushies of color if i never seen -sweety dead: a cross of sweetheart and graveyard please -mythical/fantasy??: idk i mind a mythical creatures color for these pets like feli nekomata,keeto kitsune,kanis jackalope,lycaon kumos,ect... but i was unsure about it because meh
-vintage??: not necessary based toy i just mean based these vintage color schemes or maybe cartoonish?? help

I came here to suggest the same thing 😆 I'm a big fan of the unconverted grey pets on Neopets, and seeing something alike on here would be so nice! Also, it would be perfect for my goth children 😛

Faded,: washed out colors, slightly transparent, etc.

Tie-Dye could be a fun concept.

I remember the old board somewhat.. the fallen angel type pet caught me attention before. But you can probably just do that with angelic.

I lile the crystal, Sakura. Gray/sad pets but I feel some onsite colors already have these incorporated into them and can be used for gray.

I honestly hated the origami pets on neo but who knows if subeta artist can make it better and change my mind.

Minion pets would be amazing... my pet periwinkles is based on her minion.
