I'm from So-Cal( Southern California) originally, but I'm attending NYU for grad school for a second masters so I'm living in NYC currently. I was in Buffalo for my first masters which was just concluded in May of last year so yeah, this is my third year living in the lovely state of New York.

Not from, but lived in Seattle last year and hope to move back in the future! Rent prices are outrageous there, too.
Oregon and yes rent is fucking insane
I use to live in battle ground Washington ..sadly I live in Florida now ..never leave the north west its not worth it ! Disney is fun but not worth the move I could live with out the heat and hurricanes I miss the country side. Also rent is just as bad here as it was in Washington.
