I just went to the forums main page like I do many times a day to find something I have missed for a LONG TIME.... something resembling the forum pulse of yore!
This brings me so much joy you don't even know. This makes the forums so much easier to use and communicate on topics without having to drill into other forums. Thank you for bringing this back and I hope it is here to stay!

According to today's siteupdate ping here, this will be slowly rolled out to users.
[edit] If you are not as excited about the pulse's return and want to hide it, there is custom CSS for that:
I'm glad! I gave it a rewrite that should be significantly faster than it was in the past (which is why it had to die 💀). Right now it's turned on for GAs and about 25% of users.
The blue is harsh and I'm not set on it, but that's the color for when it's a "new" pulse, and it'll turn white after that (and new ones coming in will be blue)
💖 ✨ 🤗
it is really great, thank you so much this is literally the best thing in my opinion lmao the blue is a little stark but not too terrible!
Just fyi, I went to edit the settings and can opt into forums that I don't have access to, such as Mini-Mods, Temporary Mini Threads, Testers in the Subeta area.
How long has it been gone? I remember not bothering to search the forums deeper when it left because it wasn't convenient anymore. Hopefully this can encourage more activity.
So....anyone have any CustomCSS handy to hide it? I don't know what I'm doing and I can't get it to work :')
For me it just says "Most Recent Posts - Edit Settings" with no posts/threads below that. Is this glitched, or is it not yet turned on for me? I would have thought it wouldn't show anything at all if it was off, but I don't know.

I think we are the other 75% of users that don't have the feature yet. ):
Also looking for Custom CSS for this. I'm glad it's back for the people who found it useful, but I'm not one of them.
Edit: Got one now, thanks to . Posted here.
Excited to see this back! I’d love an eventual move to make the Forum Pulse customizable to our private forums (someday in the distant future, I get that this has been gone for years).
Thank you! <3

When I went into my settings it looked like the forums that I used to be opted into before the pulse went away (announcements, feedback, battle, GA). If you are seeing the most recent thing I would guess it is on for you - try editing the settings and opting in to a forum? ( too because it should be on for you because GA)
I only just activated my GA actually. :P
Although I'd like the option of disabling the forum pulse..
has Custom CSS for this here. Just added it and the forum pulse is gone. c:
Ah! :D Hopefully it is something that could be disabled in preferences down the road. I know the old version was killing the site, and even though rewrote it, less strain for those not interested can't be a bad thing.
Thanks for posting that, editing it into the OP in case others want that info so it is easily accessible. :)
I also only have "Most Recent Posts - Edit Settings" even though I have a GA
The CSS to block it is nice, but I do agree it would be even better to have an option in the preferences page to just turn it off completely for people who aren't interested in using it.
yeah i'm also just getting the header with no actual pulse, even after i customized the settings. idk if i'm interested anyway, i'm sure it'd make things easier but i have my own forum-checking habits and this would just take up space so i've gone ahead and hidden it.
I very happy to see it back. LOL though I want custom CSS to make it smaller and less intrusive. Looking forward to fooling around with the code when I have time.

Huh, I'm gold but I still don't seem to have it. Wonder if I have some other CSS that's messing with it. :/
Either way, I'm really glad to see this coming back. I really missed being able to see active topics at a glance, and I hope it'll bring some life back to the forums now.
I have a GA and see nothing resembling this in any browsers. :/
I don't see any settings related to it either, unless I'm looking in the wrong place, which could definitely be a possibility.
[edit]
- I wanted to make sure you knew... There's a whole slew of GA users who aren't seeing the Forum Pulse :/
