If you need anything from me, please feel free to ask. Welcome back to you returning students and a big hello to our new students. I'm looking forward to this term and hope you all are as well. I'm sure you saw when your prefects and brought you in that you have to answer a riddle to enter. Answer correctly, gain access to the common room. There are no passwords into the tower. But that is how you learn and knowledge is a treasure. Anyway, I digress," he said waving his wand. A table in the centre of the room appeared. It was filled with drinks and food. "The Houselves brought up some treats for you all. I know some of you will want to catch up and talk tonight, so a midnight snack might come in handy," he winks at them. "I just know we are going to retake that trophy. We can do it because we are Ravenclaws! And because I'll likely cramp your style, I'm gonna leave you now. You have fun!"

Slightly nervous yet also with a spark of courage, Lysandra Outfit Not Found approached the head of the house. Would she be able to solve the riddle and gain access to the common room? Back in the elven forest, she used to unravel a lot of mysteries yet they had some other kind of energy. Slowly, she read the words on the invite which came with her gift box again. What do they mean exactly, which secrets where included here? She run her fingers through her hair, deep in thoughts, and sat down on the next chair. A hot and spicy chai would help so much now to trigger her ideas! Absentminded, Lysandra bit into a cinnamon roll offered by a house elf, determined to solve the puzzle.

After correctly answering the eagle door-knocker (it was an easy one today - of course fire is what needs to be fed but would die if given water!), she breezed in to the common room.

Spotting , she smiled. "Ahh, hello Lysandra! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I see you must have gotten the riddle correct as well - good for you. How are you finding Hogwarts compared to the forest?"

Keliora took a Pumpkin Juice and sat down to relax for a bit before going to join the Start of Term feast.

[img align=left]https://i.imgur.com/fbCnHhc.png[/img]Magnus Lee took the stairs as quickly as he could. He was eager to get his pets settled and say hello to his friends. Having not spotted anyone he knew, he went and sorted out his pets. Kippers, his orange cat, followed him back into the common room. The boy went over to the snacks, dithering on what to start with.

[img align=left]https://sapi.subeta.net/shared/354623.png[/img] Zoe Parker had slipped into a corner unnoticed, she thought, by anyone. She was reading and people watching at the same time. The girl was nervous about her new position. Head girl.. Her miniature bison, Lloyd came sauntering in the room. He was the size of a medium dog with soulful eyes that looked right at you. His tongue hung out as he opened his mouth hoping students would feed him.

[img align=right]https://sapi.subeta.net/shared/357003.png[/img] Keliora had such a soft spot for animals nosing around for food. She slipped a treat or two to Kippers and Lloyd, hoping that Magnus and Zoe wouldn't be too upset.

She was so happy for Zoe - although they didn't know each other all that well, she had admired the head girl's quiet dedication to her studies and to Hogwarts. She knew that Zoe would do a great job!

"Ey," Magnus said brightly, "Kippers thanks you for the treats. I'm Magnus. Third year. I think I've seen you around before." He stretched out his hand to shake her's.

Zoe noticed Keliora give Lloyd a snack and smiled. He was working his magic.

Fade stepped into the common room and almost as soon as his foot touched the ground a small white unicorn toy flew from the boys dorm room and danced circles around his head. Grinning Fade grabbed for the toy but it zipped just out of reach preferring to hover in the air. Much less enthusiastically Chase the Bengal cat looked up from his cozy spot by the fire just long enough to meow indignantly at his owner, before curling back up content to ignore the world a while longer. “At least someone’s happy to see me.” He teased. Making another unsuccessful swipe at the toy he looked around the room and waved at all his fellow housemates. “Hey guys.” He grinned and tossed his sketchbook on a nearby table.

Magnus giggled at Fade's arrival. He watched as the unicorn toy flew around and Kippers tried to kill him by wrapping around his feet. Magnus barely managed to stay upright. But now he was laughing harder. "So graceful, I am. 'Ow's it going Fade? Its been ages I swear!"

“Right?” Fade practically floated across the room to give his friend a huge hug, almost crushing the kid but he couldn’t help it. “How was the Tournament? Mom’s a little upset she didn’t let me go, but you know how it is. Hind-sight bla bla bla. Did you take pictures? Hey Kippers.” Fade reached down and scooped up Magnus’s cat to give him a good cheek scratching.

"Don't know," Magnus said, "I weren't able to go. They didn't like the idea of a werewolf romping around nibbling at people's toes I guess. But if you were 'ere too, 'ow in blazes did we miss each other?" Kippers started purring loudly and licked one of Fade's fingers.

“You kidding me? I would’a put up a fight and stayed if I knew you were guna.” He rolled his eyes and groaned. “Mom ’n Dad pulled me out and I had to do a bloody semester of Muggle school. Dad finally got a building for his company so we had to move again. They wanted to seem ‘normal’ or whatever. It was terrible. The subjects are all garbage and...” He lowered his voice. “They made me wear a wig.” Lifting Kippers he hid his face in the cat for a moment before the snuggles got to be too much and Kippers wriggled free of Fade’s grasp.

Keliora watched the unicorn toy fly around, idly wondering where it came from and what it was doing.

She heard Fade talk about having to wear a wig, and was horrified on his behalf. Such beautiful hair - forced to be hidden away? That must have been awful, let alone the non-magical subjects he would have been forced to take. She expressed all of this to Fade, adding, "I guess this must really make you appreciate being back at Hogwarts."

Cautiously, Lysandra stepped into the room and took a seat on a nearby armchair, her black Norwegian Forestcat Frida on her lap. She looked around, taking the greetings in. Seems to be like most of the students already know each other. Would she find friends here? What would they say if they come to know that she couldn´t wield fae energy at all even when being part-fae? Would they think her.... defect? "Don´t worry too much" Frida sent soothing words through their telepathic bond, "they seem to be nice!" and stretched on her lap, her paws in the direction of the fireplace.

Magnus made a face. "That bites. I'm sorry you 'ad to go there. Glad you are back 'ere where you belong." Kipper stalked off to the food on the table looking like she was going to knock the shrimp off, so Magnus quickly handed her one. "There you go, saucy cat. So anything interesting 'appen? Did I tell you me mum is 'aving a baby? 'E's due in December."

Keet had entered the common room early and set up at a table in the corner with a book. Her bright green fwooper, Disco, had been nibbling on her hair, so she conjured up a perch for him and set it on the table. He hopped onto it happily, dancing back and forth. Keet had decided to sit quietly to read and people-watch for a little while. She smiled watching her friends arrive with their pets. She giggled especially hard at the zooming unicorn toy, as Disco followed it it with his eyes, his head darting back and forth. He tried chirping, but of course, the silencing charm she put on him was still in effect. After a bit, she got up to get a snack and a glass of pumpkin juice from the center table. She smiled and waved at her housemates, unsure if they had noticed her before in her quiet corner.

"Ey, Keet," Magnus said as the girl went over to the snacks. "'Ow are you? Don't go for the those weird balls over there, they taste terrible."

Zoe watched from the top of her book as Keet had done basically the same thing she was doing. She loved the Fwooper bird and wanted to pet it but resisted.

“You heard that huh?” Fades face and hair swirled with pinkish hues. She thought his hair was beautiful? The pinks deepened into reds. Thinking about fractions and English studies helped take his mind off it. “Yeah, I really do. Never want to leave the place really.” ()

“She’s what? That’s scary!” Fade stared at Magnus with an open mouth. () Being an only child he was never really around babies of pregnant women and thought the entire idea was weird. But at the same time, Magnus’s family was so great any kid would be lucky to have them. “I can still spend the night right? Or maybe you’ll wana stay at my place.” As boring as his non-magical household was, it was very void of crying babies.

“Hey.” () Fade smiled and waved at the girl he had met the term before last. Cautiously he glanced over to make sure Chase was still sleeping by the fire and not trying to get a closer look at Disco. Not that Fade thought Chase would hurt the bird, he didn’t want to start any drama in the dorm. Not this early anyway.

"Hi Magnus," Keet smiled. "Thanks for the advice, I will definitely avoid those," she giggled. "I've been doing alright, thanks, the break gave me a chance to fill up my sketch book. How about you?"

Keet noticed that Zoe was reading too, and she waved to her.

"Hi Fade," Keet smiled back. "How's Chase doing?" she asked, noticing that Fade was keeping tabs on the cat. "Disco is pretty observant, I don't think you'll have to worry," she said, grinning.

Finally, someone who got it. Magnus sighed. “Yeah they are all super thrilled… and I don’t know how I feel. Of course you can still come over you twit, you’re one of me best friends…” Then Magnus smiled, “though I won’t say no to coming over to your place too.”

The boy smiled at Keet, “Oh yeah I filled up me own book a couple of times over. Mum had me in another class again too. It was watercolours this time. Had a lot of fun.”

Zoe looked behind her to see if there was someone else, when there wasn’t she gave Keet a small shy wave.

"Oh, that's wonderful! The watercolor class does sound really fun. Do you have a favorite artistic medium? I think I enjoy watercolors and acrylics the most," Keet grinned at Magnus. She enjoyed talking about art.

Keet noticed that Zoe had returned her wave and she smiled, "Hey Zoe, congrats on becoming head girl! I think that they definitely made the right choice. Are you looking forward to the new term?" she asked.

While she was talking to her friends, Keet was keeping a close watch on Disco, too. He was bobbing up and down on the perch she had conjured, watching her the whole time. "Disco, come here," she said, holding out her arm. There was a flash of green, and the bird landed on her outstretched arm. "Getting lonely, were you? Good boy," she grinned, giving him a bite of her snack and scratching his head.
