Don't let the Freyalise turn into an event shop

By event shop I mean something like the Zombie Den or Menagerie where items are unlimited in stock.
I keep seeing posts about changing the Freyalise Trading Co (FTC) into a different kind of shop because people are finding it difficult to get stock. I don't want this store to turn into just another unlimited stock type shop.
Even if the Freyalise turns into a "temporary" event shop it would still be super boring. Let the RSers have their holliday. It makes the most sense for this shop to be a temporary RSing one too.
By allowing the FTC to be in the Mystery Box on one or two days of Keelhauliday this allows non-RSers to be able to get the items relatively easily, and I think it's also a great sP sink. I've spent millions getting items and I've gotten most of the items I want already.
Note: I'm not even a great RSers, I suck at getting items from FTC. I just like the occasional thrill of attempting to get something from FTC. :)

I don't think will let the restocking component die, she's said this a few different times.
A lot of this year's items are already at pretty reasonable prices. At least they were before the achievements, but even if they went up again a bit they'll probably drop back down later on.
I'm not as into restocking either, but I haven't found it to be too difficult to get at least some of the items I wanted. People always panic on the first day, but it ends up being alright in the end.
Ah, awesome. It's easy to miss stuff like that when things get spread out over news comments and forum threads. :P

honestly the restocking is what makes keelhauliday one of my favorite holidays. the event shops are boring and it's too easy to get everything
Agreed.. with most of those shops it's also much like "Buy everything on the 1st day and never check it again"...

that's exactly what happens in my case. I usually have enough currency stocked up to buy everything I want the day of release and I spend the rest of the holiday collecting even more currency to stock up or sell
It can stay as it is. I gave up on it a year or two ago and just get things when I can; it's not a big deal. However, I can see how it can be frustrating, if all you ever see is "there are no items stocked" every single time you visit.
Freyalise won't turn into just another special shop. This is my hill and I will die on it. It fits in with pirates (barter for the wears, fight other people to the death) and is honestly the last restocking shop we have for any holiday.

Yeah.. although in my case I've been "skipping" the last few currency-based events.. so I'm pretty behind on those items. XD

Honestly? I think that we could do with another holiday where we get a restocking shop, not just one.
Didn't all of the holidays have their own items in the one Holiday Shop way back in the day? I don't exactly remember it, because it may have even been phased out by the time I joined. How crazy was it back then with people trying to get items? Was restocking even like the same format as it is now?
Anyway yeah, I don't mind that this holiday at least is a restocking shop. It makes it something different than just the same kind of thing as other holidays ~
If we can think of an interesting way to do it, sure. I don't want another Holiday Shop situation where that's literally all holidays were. We've moved sort of to the other end of the spectrum, where most of our shops are just buy with your currency from given holiday, so I'd like to get sort of to the middle where there's a nice variety. I like that Morostide you have to go ToT/run around the pumpkin patch to get the items you want or restock for the pirate loot. Gotta get more cool things, which I think in the future we can play with for mini events or add-ons to holidays.

The holiday shop was the worst. It's basically Keel Hauliday but for all the holidays. You'd have a short time frame to restock your holiday stuff in between just a lot of wrapping paper restocking lol. PEOPLE DIDN'T APPRECIATE MY LIKE R85+ ITEMS I'D PUT IN THERE EITHER. Before I completely phased the shop out, I was extending the time for restocking because people were very loudly upset with how little they could grab during it etc etc. Vending helped some and that was before quests were the way they are where we can very easily get some holiday bonuses out etc.
LOL wrapping paper all over the place sounds about right for some reason, even though I wasn't around. :P
Glad it's not that terrible now, but having a bit more variety or some other little things to do would still be fun in the future!

I joined subeta so I could restock when I got rs banned on neopets (which was often) so it holds a big spot in my heart
I don't mind it staying as it is but could there always be one day when the items are in the Mystery Box? Carl is more or less useless for giving out new items and Ocean Depths is very limited in range.

Ditto!! It's a lot of fun this way. I may have spent a couple of million on duplicates, but seeing that wishlist item bounding box on a Carl's quest reward, or on a mystery box purchase is so exciting!
