The more I do Quentin's quests, the more I have to quit. The items being asked for are either more expensive than what you'd receive in sP rewards, or they're just at the cusp and it's up to you if you want to take a gamble whether he pays you a meer few thousand or you wind up losing a ton. Quentin doesn't pay out much as it is. In my experience I get may get maybe in the low 30ks in payout as high end rewards. Normally it's in the 20k range for me. Quentin either needs to pay out more than what he is (which is extremely low anyway based on the types of items asked for, primarily holiday and lifelike dolls) or the types of items asked for be changed.
I was able to get only 3 quests done today because of all the expensive items he was asking for.
(Please note that I've called him a him for far too long before knowing otherwise and it's too hard to change now)

Idk I think with the amulet payout it's worth the gamble and that's the tradeoff you make with doing those quests.

I agree with
Can't see anything needs adjusting, personally.
there really doesn't need to be any adjustments
also tbqh the occasional accidental pronoun slip-up is probably a lot more forgivable than straight up ignoring/refusing to use someone's correct pronouns bc it's ~~~too hard to remember the term they
It's amazing how it's not actually difficult to use and/or switch to someone's preferred pronouns! : D I'd hate to see how you treat actual trans ppl since you can't even be bothered to and outright refuse to use the correct pronouns for a fictional character LMFAO........
Anyways, I haven't had any issues with quentin lately. Chances for amulets greatly outweigh any sP loss I might have, TBH.
Knock it off with the SJW behavior. It's simply unnecessary and irrelevant to the topic at hand (quest payout).
Amulets tend to be the reason Quentin pays out less. You can always resell the amulets in your shop to make up for the initial loss. Trust me, I'm usually buying up the cheapest amulets in user shops to try for tomes.

its fine the way it is, not all quests have to have a easy payout.
Keep all discussion on the topic of Quentin's quests and the quest payouts, and within the Community Guidelines.
It's in the OP brought up by the OP and somehow it's irrelevant and off topic now? Ok, totally makes sense. ¯(ツ)/¯
I like how you can have off topic conversations on plenty of topics but if you call out transphobia when it's brought up in the original post, it's now magically off topic.
I always take the gamble on their quests asking for 40K+ items in the off chance I'll get amulets. And it usually works out well, because I generally end up with 3-5 on average. At around 300-350K a pop, that's 900K-1.5m from Quentin's rewards alone.
(Alexander, on the other hand, is rarely worth paying more than 30K on my end)
I'm not going to further discuss this here on the thread because it is going to go off-topic real fast. However, I'm free to mail or comments if you want to continue it.
Doesn't Alexander have the chance to give out really rare books though? (I never do his quests, so no clue)

Perhaps? I mean, I would assume so? All I know is that every time I've spent more than 30K on him when Library isn't the WQ, I get ripped off and rely on rewards from other quests to make up the loss.
Could just be my bad luck, though.
If Alexander doesn't have the chance to give out some really rare or retired books, it would be nice to see that change be made. I'd understand if it isn't because it probably would fuck with the economy.

Most days, the only full set of quests I do are Quentin's. I don't particularly like paying for more than 40k for each round but I do, and at the end of the day I usually break even sP-wise, even without taking amulets into account.
With Quentin, it's very easy & common to lose sP on a single quest, but since they also ask for super cheap items, it balances out.
I don't think that every quest should always pay out a profit - though I'm on hiatus I typically make my best profits from Quentin and the Wizard soo.... -shrug- - and I don't think THEIR quests need adjusting.
I think they're plenty generous with their quests. It doesn't need adjustment.
Quentin's profits are the amulets. They give out on average two amulets every 10 quests (sometimes less, sometimes more, but I believe the average evens out to 2). Even if I lose 20k per Quentin's quest and complete all 10 per day, and if I sell the amulets at 300k a piece I'll still net 400k+ profit. I hardly lose that much sP (200k in total) though, so Quentin is right up there in terms of profit with Wizard's quests. Having Quentin pay more would throw off the current balance in their quests imo.
Going to disagree here and say their payouts are just fine. The main way you make a profit with them is selling amulets, which always sell. Of course it's a gamble on how many amulets you get per day, but if you get a few, you made a good profit.
I don't think individual quests need to be adjusted so much as long as quests as whole ends up being profitable. I'm fine with losing a bit with Quentin and chancing the amulets because I know I can make up the difference with other quests, either in sP or in items.
