Everybody has at least one thing that makes them cringe and shudder, normally something you touch or hear, sometimes taste and smell. I once knew a lady who would go ballistic to the sound of crinkling chip bags, it would make her go into this cringing frenzy.
For me, its cotton. Cotton balls, cotton swabs, just, cotton products excluding apparel. Cotton in my mouth, my ears, between my teeth, between my fingers, just eeuughghgh. I cant even touch it. I hate it so much

Squeaky cotton. Corduroy. Soapy cilantro. Applesauce.
Buuuh...

Just to mention a few of the nasties
things in clusters (like ants, not trees in a forest)
things covered in holes
sometimes touching newspaper squicks me out, but I've got a bird cage to line so I have to buck up and touch it every few days regardless. :D
I absolutely detest the sensation of wet toilet paper, or using paper products with water. Whenever I see someone drying their hands with toilet paper in a bathroom I'm just like, 'god no.' Paper towel doesn't squick me out as badly, but I'm still not a fan.
-Mustard. -Hearing people chewing, slurping, breathing loudly.. any mouth noises, really. -Loud noise. Especially screaming children. -Getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist.. the scraping sensation on my teeth. And the polishing brush, ughh. -Blood sucking insects, mainly ticks. -Wet clothes against my skin. -Kinda specific, but.. emergency alerts. Our city was evacuated last year during a massive wildfire, and it shook me up pretty badly. It burnt down 2400 buildings, and the fire grew to 590,000 hectares. We weren't allowed to return home for a month, and spent the entire time worrying and wondering if our house had burnt down, or been looted, if my parents place was okay, with all the photo albums and home videos.. so, yeah. Emergency radio alerts. Really set me off.
I'm sure there's more.. especially when it comes to sounds :s
I have misophonia and misokinesia, so I cringe to a lot of things. Probably what your chip bag lady had. I hate any tapping sounds (like people tapping fingers on a table), any clicking/snapping (picking nails, snapping fingers, etc), whisting (fuck whisting ugh jesus), chewing, people bouncing their knee (the sight of it)...there are so many things and it's honestly making me angry just thinking about them.
Simple human contact. Shows of affection. Cumbias I've nearly jump out of a moving school bus to get away from it. Air conditioning and heaters. Fragrance.
These things bring out the worst in me, and most just don't understand.
Rubbing my hands on carpet makes me feel sick to my stomach. It sends these static waves through my whole body and it is one of the most unpleasant feelings for me. If I see a person rubbing their hands on any carpet-like material, I have to quickly look away or I still feel myself shudder.
Also, feeling trapped and/or being in a small space. I was locked in a trunk once when I was little as a joke but then my brother couldn't open it back up. It was jammed and it took my dad like 20 minutes to get me out :/
The buzzing sound of a passing by insect right by my ears is one of the nastiest feeling I've ever experienced. Also, getting my teeth filled is terrible. The dentist has to use many sort of devices because my mouth is smaller than expected and dear lord the noise that it makes when he removes the metal separator thingie ... Rough times haha.
Earwigs. I have never had a problem with any other bug in my entire life, but earwigs make me feel so disgusting just looking at them. I saw one crawl into my kitchen sink the other day and I just started shuddering and grossing out with what I can only describe as the "heebie-jeebies". I didn't go near my kitchen sink for an entire week afterwards... and when I finally cleaned it out IT WAS STILL IN THERE! I nearly cried as I washed it down the drain, and then I stepped on a piece of food on the floor and freaked out 😱 Then I felt incredibly embarrassed.
wet food... like touching wet food in a kitchen sink. yucky also really loud clanging of metal like pots and pans. and buzzing insects like a few other people have mentioned. eeek.
Soapy Cilantro? Whats the backstory to that?
Seeing any hair in my food, even if its mine makes me lose my appetite too. I also hate that tiny yet infuriating sound of a mosquito by my ear
I see that hole one around the internet, people post all kinds of pictures to freak people out as they scroll.
Drying your hands with toilet paper is pretty pointless, its just gonna break up and get all over your hands, i know id never do it. Its just, what are you doing? Youre going to get full of tissue crumbs, gross.
Man you would have hated being in my car when my brake pads disintegrated, haha
I also despise that polishing brush because it tickles my gums and makes me twitch a lot, my gums are not supposed to be ticklish. Wildfires huh? If you live in the US might it have been a Cali or Tennessee wildfire?
Im sorry to laugh at your pain but the bouncing knees got me... I only cant stand repetitive noises once my brain notices it and doesnt un-notice it, and then its all I hear. Usually when i tune in to peoples conversations, and every other word is "like", just, fuck, SHUT UP.
Cumbias, I had to look that up, is that just a type of music? Also not to make an insulting assumption, but out of curiosity do you have aspergers? My best friend does and he also hates human contact and affection. He cant even look me in the eye, he looks ahead when we talk. Although you could just very well be a normal human being, who hates other human beings haha. Also I just got your name, nicely done.
I also do not like gliding my skin over carpet, as I have a fear of rugburn and it also is somewhat reminiscent of cotton. Just no
I only got teeth filled when I was a kid so thankfully I do not remember the experience. You probably wouldnt like this either, hehe, but my back molars on each side were not the right length so they had to take a instrument that would file down my molars until i felt they were "in line" with each other. Felt just fine, I barely remember the sensation.
I totally get the being terrified of a bug, except my only fear inducing bug is House Centipedes. If you know what it is, great, if you dont, id recommend you dont look it up. They like to hide under clothes, so after one scurried out from my clothes on the floor once I have never had my clothes on the floor since. Just seeing pictures of them will ruin my appetite and give me hot flashes.
Im a nanny and caregiver, and the one thing ive always hated is when they leave old food in the sink. Primarily soggy cereal. Just, disgusting, why do I have to touch it? I use the sink hose or paper towels. I just will not touch it, unless its my food.

Cilantro tastes like slightly citrus-y soap to me. I don't get that "clean, fresh" taste people go on about.

I dont like how it tastes either, unless its hidden in a salsa. I cant have it topping anything.

It never hides for me. XD

Right? Like... just the thought of that makes me cringe hahaha!
I am right with you on the cilantro hate-train. It just tastes like dirt to me, and I can't stand it.
Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Paranoid Schizophrenia. Yes, its a kind of music. It provokes mental pain, beyond the understanding of their fans. I've developed the habit of always wearing headphones to block it out. Even brief exposure evokes panic.
My username is both an intentional misspelling and an arbitrarily concocted name for my fursona.
