It seems like forever since we've seen a Gelatin War.

Maybe Merana has enslaved the Hydragellos and has kept all of Subeta's native evil gelatins at bay for now, for her own evil purposes. She does have another pillar to knock down.

I don't see any point in trying to rush another one, since there's not really a set schedule for when it happens.

I'm also hoping we get one this year, but I've seen lots of people talking about it recently and I just feel like posting about it every day isn't going to make it come any sooner.

I think people always want the Gelatin War because of all the achievements and a chance to get more of the prizes once their pets are stronger.

Gelatin Wars are already coded so they're cheap and easy-ish to implement. Any other event that gets done that has battling too would be awesome, but we know what's next in terms of major site event planning, it's the Shenkuu Tea House that won the Emma/Esther wedding present donation thing.. Fighting over scalding pots of possessed tea, zig zag bridges that have caught a little too many evil spirits and are now leading everyone astray, and finely ground matcha cloudmonsters?

I agree. It isn't that hard to do and it's not like it'll take the place of another battle event? I don't think many people are expecting it to have new features, they just want their achievements/exp/prizes.

A year's worth of training is a lot so I'm sure there are a lot of antsy battlers ready to fight (also, how much love does battling actually get here?).

I'm not one for it but personally, given how things kind of clumped there between Pandemic, Masquerade then Vesnali, I'm glad for the break still?

I wouldn't mind gelatins again if they brought something new and exciting. Maybe a few new challengers, new achievement tiers, reformatted to actually resemble a war instead of the typical global boss. just something new.

I would be happy with a gelatin war or a new event all together. Anything is totally fine by me.

I'm over them. I'd rather see something new unless they bring something more with them. Kinda gets boring at some point.

A Veggie War would be fantastic! They could all look like rotten Veggie Tales characters

That's like, Subeta's covered in gelatin, everyone's freaked out about it and it's the site event at the time, but you don't see a blob of gelatin anywhere other than in the news page or in the Battle Coliseum. We already have these overlays on the maps (rain, also cycling maps for day and night), maybe we could see a "ravaged" version of Subeta? Nothing too freaky though. See some gelatin stuff (NOT battle prizes or drops!) floating around the site. Just not so that it isn't a hassle to the artists and programmers.

These are my two cents, some brainstorming on that (this catched my eye).

Also, even the opponents are the same every year??? Doesn't Hydragellos and its' minions (or whoever controls them) get fed with always getting beaten up and going home? Can't they learn a single trick? Maybe we could help in the battle while giving out food/supplies and gain some points. Idk. Maybe Fantine could bake some MREs [Meal Ready to Eat, a military ration] (like the last event where Mathias helped us deal damage after some time waiting) and we could donate those to gain some points?

[edit] though this would cause some stuff to go pie-in-the-sky too like any other ingredient at Fantine's, consider that MREs are basically very bland food dehydrated and most of the time, smoked too. We could even donate a Cream Sheets of Plastic and get it inside a MRE and no one would notice it. i'm just fed up with salty users who can't stand seeing someone else's suggestions without going all fuzzy tho

This is, considering that you can't battle, then you gotta spend. Battlers spend time and sP on that. It's not a plot, it's a battling event. And you can't battle. This would be like, the last straw for those who can't and get some points, or get achievements on that.

And yes, well, this isn't suggestions and ideas. So, to stay "on topic", my other two cents are: the gelatin wars are too bland and everyone complains about it every. single. year. You can read some complaints on the news updates on the wars and most of them say, grinding is boring. Of course, almost everything can be boring, but the Gelatin Wars is just... just grinding. Nothing else. It should be called Gelatin Grinding instead.

I would love to see new gellys, especially the boss. I mean we've been defeating the Hydra for how many years now? I'd love to see him downgraded to an impossible challenger (with an obv lot change, maybe the core could be changed to an achievement... like 50 or 100 wins or something) and a new boss could be introduced?

Maybe a HydrUSgellos or something equally witty.

I fully cannot be arsed for another gelly war. It feels like we only just have the last one. It isn't a regular/scheduled event, so I can happily wait until next year for some mindless, endless battling. I'd rather have something different this time, even if it's just a mega throwback event, or something.

I've posted previously about not wishing for another jelly war. It's not that I'm against it! It's more like it has lost its novelty. It's an envy for those that cannot battle (for whatever reason) and it's a repetition to get prizes/achievements for us. Therefore, it's a bit of a niche hobby and event. That being said, I love battling and improving myself. Last year, I've scored poorly and got very salty about it. In fact, I'm salty towards the whole system. How come the competition is at the top? I have literally more chance of winning a tier prize if my pet is low, even tho I've invested in boosting my virtual warrior. I'm always bummed by that. And of course I'm getting out of topic. But I'd like to see a more diverse and inclusive battle event this year. I'm tired of collective boss when only very few people win something good. It's bland and tasteless. The gelatin is so old its taste is favourless by now. I'm all about something new or keeping the old guys but kickin' it up a bit? Save the lull of the summer with something good. Make the gelatins wear tropical shirts for all I care but ... Make it exciting q____q.

I still need to finish my gelatin achievements so I'm all for it. :)

I also agree with everything you posted regarding battling.

I'd personally love to see a real (ohoho I mean as real as you can make it on subeta :'D) war. Like give me two factions and the option of siding with one. THEN also while giving us battle options, give us non-battle war like options. You know, like supporting the warriors aka quests or something. (the bad omen set up of two separate camps was good, we could borrow elements from that maybe? just making it more effective as far as execution is concerned)

Also, I've been waiting for Shinwa v Maleria for eons. Would be amazing to have the two goddesses go at it this summer. Toss in cameos from other NPCs like the Oracle and Merana and we've got a recipe for a summer blockbuster imo. C:

Ugh, tbh I'm so sick of hearing about the gelatin war, I hope we never have another one.

For those of us that have finished the achievements, it's literally nothing for days and then bam six hours of being glued to the computer wailing on the boss, to get a prize most top battlers have already earned at least once.

I'm totally down for a battle event, don't get me wrong. Something new and different though. An actual war with opposing sides we can choose sounds fun af.

Just no global bosses. Oh god please no global bosses.
