Kind of an alternative to the boards where you only choose four or five pets to keep. :)

If you suddenly had get rid of a few of your pets for some reason, which ones would you choose and why? Feel free to be detailed in your explanations or not.

Numbers can be anywhere from three to ten - users with 60+ should try to choose more than five!

• These guys are all fairly new and even though I like their names, no idea has really clicked for them yet.

Dominick Ether Cardinal Malachite Howl

• Some of these guys I've had for ages or they have found their way back to me after a long time but all of their ideas have mostly fallen through and I've struggled to come up with new ones for them.

Temple Ginkgo

• Also fairly new pets. I was really excited by my ideas for them until I realized that they had too many similarities to other characters of mine.

In all seriousness though, these are the pets I'd probably consider adopting out if I really had to.

Birdcage - I've wanted a bird-related name for ages. She has a character and gorgeous design, but she's not really going anywhere. ;;

Cordyceps - Cool name, but kinda icky for my liking? I usually like darker names, but somehow this is a bit much. Still looking for inspiration for her, that isn't blatantly a mind possessing mushrooms trope.

Disco - A reincarnate off of neopets that's not working out so well.

Kenjii - She's closely tied in with my pets Auko, Maiku, and Naively, however it doesn't feel significant to have her here anymore like it did when I initially made her.

Soybean - He is precious birb bean but again, his character isn't super significant. His purpose is to be loud, eat fruit, and annoy Stripey and her girlfriend. :I

Marbled, Octane, Pillar, Virtues, and Waterfall - I have vague ideas for them, but don't feel inspired to work on them.

I think my biggest thing is not having people to bounce ideas off of and plot with. My friends are usually too busy to be online anymore. I'm fairly busy too, but when I do have free time I just waffle around in mud as far as coming up with ideas.

Aston - got a decent idea for his character, but not 100% sure on the name Dieu - love the name, but worried I have too many similar characters already Kray - again, got a character sorted, but not sure on the name Solus - not really got any solid ideas yet Rite - too many similarities with other pets!

Why? A mix of "Wouldn't hurt that much", "I suck and thus my ideas sucks, too" and a lack of inspiration. With Galahad's character for example I'm struggling my whole Subeta life already. I love his OC to death (he's one of my oldest, about 20 years old, lol) but showing that in public is impossible somehow.

This turned out to be pretty difficult, but I decided on a few!

Taffy - I thought her name would be easy to work with, but no concrete ideas yet

Alaric - it's difficult for me to work with male names

Sherry - the name of someone I don't like, but I'm trying to work though it

Isolde - Beautiful name, but it starts with the letter 'I' and that makes it feel weird somehow??

Shui - sometimes I feel the name doesn't 'fit' with my other pets

It would be rather hard if I had to, but I could managed.

-Semtex - the idea isn't working out as well as I wanted it too. -Mr. Brooks - he's still pretty new but no real solid ideas for him. -Laik - the name isn't gripping me as much as the pet combo. -Flinte, Convoy, Anippe - all three don't have characters at all and it is frustrating.

Aww man, this is tough. A few I knew right off the bat, but it's so tough.

Bewilder - A pound surfing pick-up. The name is cool but I currently have no inspiration. Hypothermic - Kinda in the same boat as Bewilder. Emanuel - Got the name a long time ago, and I vaguely created a character, but then my inspiration died. Schizoid - Honestly if I wasn't attached to the memories that this little pixel has, I'd have let her go a long time ago. But nostalgia man.

Haha I hope we never have to do this for real. sob If I HAD to I could probably give up some of my fanpets, and a couple of "real words"

"Miiself" is a portmanteau of "Mii" and "myself" I started using when talking about my personal Mii in Tomodachi Life and other Mii related games. I've got some ideas for her, but I don't think it'd hurt too much to have to let her go.

"Darrel Bradson" is the islander Miiself is married to in Tomodachi Life. Again, I have ideas, but I could probably let him go if necessary.

"Placid" was adopted. I did plan to just zap and repound him, until the Chibi came along. If he needed to go, I'd probably do a name swap to keep his species and colour, and let go of whichever pet I swapped names with. I'm struggling to think of anything to do with him, but I love that experiment!

"ABC" was a recent pound snag, and I created "Level 42" soon after because I decided 80s band pets would be awesome. x3 But I'd rather lose them than some of my other pets, so they'd go if they had to.

"Norwich" is my hometown. I'd probably struggle to let him go, but rather him than someone else.

"Rythulian" and "ABZU" are both fanpets. Rythulian already has an overlay, which I'm very happy with, and I have plans for them. Having some difficulty deciding what to do with ABZU. I might be able to let them go?

"smol birb" was made for giggles. I don't have a lot of ideas. I just love the name, and something to fit a Chibi . x3

Most of my pets after that are OCs, which I could NEVER let go of. I'm also ruling out six Fallout 4 pets (my SS, Hancock, and four FO4 inspired OCs), and at least one Elder Scrolls pet (I could MAYBE let go of Morrowind, but never my Dark Elf character). Also can't let go of Kisrah, obviously, and I'd feel awful cutting out any of my spotlight winners.

God I feel you on discussing ideas. I think when I'm already trying to organize my ideas for another person to understand, it makes me recognize gaps or potential more easily for myself as well. I've started just adding notes to some of my pet profiles and it's been really helpful. If you ever wanna shout ideas at someone, even if it's just one sentence long, feel free to Skype me anytime! Alerick would probably be the first to go because it's an alternative spelling kinda?? i'm just sort of clinging to him because i like the name but also not doing anything with him because i'll probably get rid of him eventually anyway because the spelling is killing me slowly??

Almira because she was created on impulse and although i like the name and have an idea for her i'm not 100% on the name.

Mack because i think i'd like a different name for his character if i could find one!

Phyllis because i've had her since 2012 and have gone through 10000 ideas with her and nothing has seemed to stick, also because since watching the office Phyllis from the office is all i can think about lmao

Definitely Peeta. I like his name, but I originally snagged him for a friend, and I haven't gotten hold of that friend yet to figure out if they for sure want him, so for now I'm holding on to him. I might put him UFA in the future, but I want to wait it out a little longer, just to make sure my friend has a chance to claim him.

Next would probably be Geddy, Octopus and Disdain, simply because I just got them haven't really gotten attached to them yet.

Some others I don't really want to part with but would if it absolutely came to that: Sarah Lynn, Gyarados, Land, Joke, Shelter, Morrison, Roc, Snowstorm, Horace

Nefertari - I only have the pet because of a cutesy couple-like idea with Ramessess that my fiance has. Since they were married IRL in history, thought it would be nice but the name isn't clicking anymore.

Bubbly - Being a soaper, this name was almost perfect for me but it's not clicking.

Comb - Even though I adore bees, a lot of people don't think of honeycombs when they see the name and it just doesn't click with me the way the other bee themed pets do.

Raiven - Something about the spelling irks me to the very end but it's a variant of the spelling of my very first OC.

Koul - Probably because this one is the newest of the bunch I haven't really thought of a really good idea for him yet.

Tinsel - Not really sure where I'm going with this pet. I like the idea of a Christmas pet but I don't have much of anything for him. Sort of an impulse adoption.

Hershey - Was supposed to be a pet based off my fiance but it's been progressing more and more away from that and I don't feel as attached to him as I once was.

Ushara, Vidarri, Misha, Arius, and Arion? :( The first three because they're newer pets I don't really have ideas for. The last two because I'm less attached to the names.

Well alright, this is going to be torture.

Bobbery--he is a fanpet of Bobbery, one of Mario's party members in Paper Mario: Thousand-Year Door. This is actually difficult to say because he is a Pet Spotlight winner, and I really do love the game and character. But he's just kind of sitting here now and I haven't touched him in a while. So I'd consider it but it would still be difficult.

Gamers--sort of an impulse because I wanted to create a character to tell a story about my fiance and I, but I don't really have the motivation to work on him? I do love the lizard experiment and thought the plural name would be a good reason to get one, but ehhh.

Caitlynn and Ellianna--both are alternate spellings of RNs and they're newer pets added to the family. I don't have concrete ideas for either yet, just very vague ideas.

Truthfully I did downsize three of my Arrow fanpets. It was difficult because I love the TV series but I didn't have the motivation or inspiration to work on them soooo those kind of count, but at the same time I just replaced them with a couple new pets, lol.

Hahah, I'm the same way with alternative spellings. As long as it's not too far of a stretch, I don't really think about them when I see someone else with one, but I slowly grow to resent it when it's my own. The exceptions are British/European English spellings, which I sometimes prefer. If you let me know what kind of names you're looking for to replace Mack, I'd be happy to help you search!

Your deal with Bobbery is a bit of a fear of mine, not gonna lie. It almost seems like an injustice (to me anyway) to change a pet that's won the spotlight, but at the same time, if you think of them as being officially done, then they're just kind of taking up space.. x:

Y'know it's sad because at this moment in time I could probably let like 90% of them go and I'd be okay. Outside of like, the ten names that people would be like "Really.. really, those huh". I say that mostly because I've spent more time on the road (or in the air) than I have anywhere else in 2016, and... I was finally home for two solid weeks and all I did was draw ponies and a pomeranian. Yup.

Oh, but if I had to just cull some right now I'd absolutely be fine with losing:

Mailk (idk, I wanted Saladin instead... eventually got it, now I've got nothing. Nothing) Alistair Chester Zed Moloch Scott (this is such a common name for me, and it's kinda mortal enemy name of sorts (it's a work thing haha)... but it's good, and I dunno what his name would be otherwise so, I keep it.) Diesel Chadwick (had to have it, HAD TO, that's as far as it got..) Tiberius (same story haha)

I also have like 10 "filler" names that aren't bad par say... but they just kinda hang out. And I'm like "oh hey you're still here?" "yup" "cool, you wanna like... do something?" "Naw." "That's cool, that's cool... well, see ya."

Actually, I think that sums most of them up these days... part of me is like "Take charge! Corner them, ideas and such!" and the rest of me is like "Yeah but it's almost 5.... a fine glass of wine sounds much better. Maybe tomorrow".

I only have four pets whom I actually have really no idea what I should do with them character-wise: Gino, Vlad, Guido and Vasili.

Gino: I already had him adopted out to another user who just pounded him after a while. Another user adopted him and made a thread where Gino was put UFA. I was really happy when I got him back but I just still can't come up with anything for him x_x

Guido: I actually do have some loose ideas for him in mind but the problem is his name always reminds me of a certain RL person and everytime I see or write his name that person pops up in my mind...

Vlad: why can't the Dracula-like part not just be unseen? I hate vampires but his name always reminds me of Dracula - heck I even made him a Bloodred Wyllop T_T

Vasili: I stalked that name for MONTHS (if not years) and a dear friend of mine actually found him in the pound some day quite some time ago and adopted him for me (or better asked another user to do so). Needless to say I was SO happy. The original idea for him was to make him a martial arts character. Then I made this mistake and named an mmo character Vasili. I even made my pet a matching profile on here - but the name just never matched that mmo character. I decided to change the characters name and to rework his profile on here to represent my former idea for him but now that mmo-charcter part always pops up in my mind whenever I look at his name :/

Holtzmann and Pimpernel are an old and new character but both connected to fandoms that I don't have as much drive to develop further any more than putting quotes and funny gifs on.

Yashika was more me naming an experiment because I liked it (Peacock dragon) rather than having any sort of character idea.

Wilhemina is SPELLED wrong :/ :/ :/

Curlew, Suet, Charlot, Pagoda, Fifth - names that I immediately liked but don't have big ideas for so if I were forced to give up I could probably do it! (Although I do really like these names so these are the lowest on this list)

Sleighbell, Fishpaste, Gully, Jitters, Gambia, Cholula - newer pets, not super attached yet, just words or things I like!

Chancellor, Shipka - adopted pets that I haven't moved forward with yet, could lose those without being too sad.

BASICALLY it's been a while since I've had a name that has really got me inspired and in love!

MAN THIS SUCKS. Okay, pets in the approximate order in which I'd get rid of them:

-Veruca Salt; the name just isn't meshing with me as well as I had hoped, she was definitely an impulse adoption -Krabs; obviously a Spongebob fan pet, but I haven't thought up a solid idea for a story for them either -The Royal Doofus, maybe. Another Spongebob fan pet (and another impulse) but I've been focusing on other pets lately and haven't been as into this guy (but Squidward is my favorite ever so that might be enough to keep him) -White Lie; they're meant to be a fan pet (from The Property of Hate) but I have another fan pet from the same source that I like better -Devante probably, because he's brand new and I love his name but nothing has jumped out at me for a character for him yet -Paviche; I would kick myself for this one but I haven't been as focused on him lately either (He's a Repo! the Genetic Opera fan pet) and I have no idea where to go with a story :')
