Quidditch has always held an important place in the Hale household. The family frequently watch Quidditch matches together and even attended the 2014 Quidditch World Cup. During his time at Durmstrang Institute, Beth's father was a Keeper for the Durmstrang Quidditch team. He is an avid supporter of the German National Quidditch team. Beth’s mother is also an avid fan of the sport, though she holds preference for the Spanish National Quidditch team. Both of them, however, have found equal support and respect for the American National Quidditch team. Her parents gifted Beth and her sisters their own Firebolt Supremes as a back-to-school gift. Despite all this, the Hale girls were never taught to fly by their parents as they wanted their children to learn it at school.

The Sorting Hat had a difficult time placing Beth before it finally bellowed out Ravenclaw into the Great Hall. Upset that Lyn and her were not sorted into the same House, Beth often wonders if the Sorting Hat made the right choice in placing her in Ravenclaw. Although separated into different houses, she knows that both she and her sister will achieve great things in Ravenclaw and Gryffindor respectively. Since starting at Hogwarts, Beth has regarded Ravenclaw Tower as her favorite place in the castle. The courtyard is another one of her favorite places; she absolutely loves spending her breaks between classes there.

Bio: Mae is the youngest of a family of two. They moved from Paris, France when she was 11. Her older sister graduated from Beauxbâtons like both of her parents. The sorting hat considered Hufflepuff but settled for Ravenclaw in the end.

Katsumi is fluent in both Japanese and English, and she loves the cultures of both lands. She was a bright child, eagerly taking in everything she could from the world around her. Her half-blood mother believed it was important for her daughter to understand the Muggle world as well as the world of wizards, particularly since Rei ended up going into a Muggle line of work. Magic and technology have both played significant roles in Katsumi's life, and she is just as comfortable on the internet as casting spells, though nowhere near as dependent on technology as most Muggles seem to be.

When Katsumi turned seven, her parents started spending more time in Japan, so that she could attend day school at Mahoutokoro. They recognized Katsumi's love of learning, and wanted to nurture it. Her father, however, has been quite insistent: Katsumi would attend Hogwarts once she turned eleven. Katsumi herself doesn't see either school as necessarily better; as long as they present her with sufficiently engaging and challenging material, she does not have a preference.

Katsumi tends to be a reserved individual. Not that she doesn't have emotions, but she does not tend to display her joy or sadness as openly as most. She can be proud, looking down on those who are not so academically inclined, or who do not put forth their best effort. She can also be judgmental, expecting others to meet her own high standards. She has a bit of a temper, and tends to frown on frivolousness. She is slow to make friends, but once she does she is staunchly loyal, and will defend them fiercely.

Bio: Magnus never knew his real parents. He lived in a Muggle orphanage until he was nine. Then the accident happened and he woke in Saint Mungo's. No one really knew what to do with the boy and he lived in the hospital for a year. The problem was, he surely couldn't be placed back in a Muggle orphanage but by chance the Lees happened to be visiting a relation and heard of the child. A magical boy who was now a werewolf. Bartley and Stella Lee--pure-bloods, adopted him. The Lees didn't seem to care that he was a werewolf. Magnus explored, caused mayhem and generally did whatever suited himself. The Lees encouraged him to explore his new magical world. The day his letter arrived they bought him a magical cat whom he called Kippers. At Hogwarts he spends his time doing classwork, hanging with his girlfriend and doing art. At home he loves hanging out with his adult auror friend.
