I absolutely LOVE celebrating Lumi with everyone here on Subeta, so I thought it would be fun to take my little Hanukkah gifting that I did last year and make a full blown give-away out of it. A special thank you to a few people who donated to my wonderful little giveaway: , , and ! Thank you lovely angels!
Only 3 simple things you have to do. (Please also read the note at the bottom.)
- Ping me! (I will still be subscribed to the thread, but I don't want to miss your post!)
- Tell me your favorite thing about Hanukkah.
- Be RESPECTFUL to everyone who posts. (Any hate/intolerance will lead to a blocking and no presents for you.)
If you celebrate Christmas, you may post until 12/25 @ 11pm. It will take me some time to get gifts out once the trees close, but you will get them in boxes. I will be celebrating with my boyfriend's family all day on the 25th, but will get online to send out boxes before bed!
*Note: THIS IS NOT JUST LIMITED TO HANUKKAH! If you happen to celebrate something else, feel free to replace Hanukkah with the holiday you celebrate. No one gets forgotten! (If you celebrate Christmas, feel free to comment me for a little something under your tree.)

My favorite part of the holiday season (regardless of which particular holiday you celebrate) is the Doctor Who Christmas Special. A new Doctor Who episode, no matter how the holidays are going, makes things better. One can never have enough of one's Doctor ;)

Not at all! I started this early so I could figure out how many people would be interested. :D I agree, the Doctor Who special is the BEST part of December. (I say, as I snuggle under my 2 Tardis blankets.) I'm a 9th & 10th Doctor kinda girl myself.
Oh course love! I'll make sure a pretty something is under your tree for you too. Everyone being festive is great. Winter is such a cultural season, I absolutely love it!!
9 was great too. I'm currently watching the Doctor Who Christmas Marathon. Right now it's the Voyage of the Damned.

My favorite part of Hanukkah is definitely the latkes and the Rugrats specials. I grew up with a lot of Jews and my best friend is Jewish. Enjoy your holiday season!

Happy Hanukkah <3 I celebrate Christmas and my favorite thing has got to be the lights and decorations, and getting to pick them out/help put them up. They're always something that help lift me out of my seasonal affective disorder rut. c; Plus, it's usually good quality time to spend with my loved ones (and almost everyone is always in good spirits when we decorate).

Thank you very muxh for doing this and I hope you have an awesome Hanukkah. I celebrate Christmas myself well, I do celebrate the family gatherings that happen due to the holiday, not so much the holiday itself, as I am not a Christian.

we are celebrating Christmas ... or well, at least we celebrate our families, as my bf family is not Christian :) But we do have some traditions to celebrate, as well as my bf nephews first feast :) He is turning 1 next year in January and my youngest niece has her first christmas feast aswell :D she is turning 1 in February (just a few days younger than my bfs nephew :) ) we also visit christmas fairs the day before the 24th, enjoying roasted almonds, glogg and other delights baking and cooking at home, playing lots of games togehther - I can't wait for it c:

I celebrate Christmas but Happy Hanukkah to you! I really love everything about Christmas ^^; but to name a few, I love giving gifts, I put lots of thought into everything I give. I also love the food. I make lots of sweets, in fact made fudge last night! I also love snow, though we didn't get any last year I am hoping we get some this year. I also love Santa and hot chocolate and to many things to count lol!
Happy Hanukkah! For me, the best thing is the food and spending time with family for Christmas.

no metter what anyone is celebrating (religious or not) I love the... spirit. I mean: lights on trees, smiling people, thinking about gifts to do, sharing meals without the daily hurry, random act of kindness... I believe in the magic of last days of year (if I have to choose to celebrate, in strictly spiritual sense, I'm for the Winter Solstice) and I believe that anyone could be (everyday) kind and joyful like during Christmas/Hanukkah/Luminaire. But around 21-25 december probably it's easier :)
