Welcome to Nutsy's Nefarious Nights 3: The Case of the Curious Conundrums

Yes, Nutsy is back, but with quite a revamp! After a number of suggestions and pleas came floating into my inbox, I made some changes to the overall structure as follows:

1. More "cuteness and humor." You love this in WS, and without it, Nutsy seemed "a bit dull."
2. More HA challenges and more chances to RP. The puzzles are hard enough, and some folks want to play, but need more at which they shine.
3. A more relaxed atmosphere, and more of a "Holiday" feel. (To this end, the event is starting earlier, but will proceed in a more relaxed manner. Believe me, I heard you on this one, particularly after what is happening in my country. We're in for a bumpy ride, and we're going to need all the joy we can manage.)

I really hope you like the changes, and be assured it's still a mystery, and a generally tough one. This year, it's just in keeping with a lot of the world, and has taken a turn for "all little bit crazy. :D

Here are the guidelines:

1. While Nutsy's office is located near Squirrely McGee's Offtime Saloon, it is only a cousin to the Wayward Squirrel events.

2. The mysteries are event and situation driven, with much less in the way of plotlines.

3. You may play in teams as usual, with one partner, or even be a lone wolf. (If you play in teams, please give your team a name.)

4. If you are a Wayward Squirrel, you may keep the character you created for those events, or make an entirely different persona. New personas and new players are welcome!

5. Prizes will be given, but there will not be the lavish bounty that accompanies the WS events.

How it works:

You will be presented with a mystery, in which you will be given:

1. The autopsy report or an observation from an eyewitness, or maybe both or maybe neither.

2. You will then be given the suspects' statements about the crime and their profiles.

3. You can then hunt down clues from the locations given. You must solve a puzzle and/or a challenge at each location in order to receive the clue(s). These will be sent by smail to the team leader and are to be shared with your team.

4. Additional clues will be posted at strategic points. These must be earned as ALL challenges and puzzles are optional. (But you won't get far unless you do something!!)

5. At the announcement of the end of the event, you must submit your guesses as to the perpetrator(s), motive(s), method(s) and any other details you think are pertinent. This solution should be in RP format and posted on the plot thread itself. Best and most complete solution wins.

Please join the Nutsy Nefarious Nights ping group if you haven't already. The WS group will NOT be pinged for this event.

(If you are new and curious about the WS events and want to "dip a toe into the water," this is a good place to get started and let others see who you are and whether you might fit into a WS team together. 😀)

You didn't miss anything. I've just been getting so many errors that I haven't been able to stay stable long enough to post the next part, and be sure of what to set for a deadline. It seems to be settling down so I hopefully can post later today!

It took me most of the day to get to this thread.. hopefully the site is settled down more before we have the second part.

Second story post is going up right now.

Your task for this one is for your team to create ALL ten of the recipes for the Count's birthday dinner. You can assume that ingredients are available--you just create. We'll pick the yummiest. :D

Hints:

1. The soup should have 20 ingredients, but NO turtle of any kind.
2. Don't use any real hedgehog. They're the Queen's croquet balls, and you know how she is.
3. Each successful recipe can gain up to ten points toward buying clues.
