I know Vesnali is coming up and I'm very excited but I was looking at the calendar and, although I knew there was a gap, jeez I didn't realise there was a FIVE MONTH gap of any kind of event. Frankly I'm kind of sad about it, I wonder why it is or if anything's planned for the future. I love this site and lately, in spite of all the frustrations, I'd like to have something to look forward to or I might as well just log off until freaking more than half way through September. Really five months? I can't remember if there has really been anything that's happened in that time in the past, please enlighten me if there has, but I just activated my three month gold membership from the loyalty totem and I wish I'd waited for a more active time. Booo... Anyways justa small rant and kind of suggestion I suppose. Any thoughts?
I'd love something to do with the beach or incorporating the Shengui Guo, hell I'd take anything. I'd love some new wearables and actually come to think of it that cruise thing was awesomeeeeeeee but I never got to finish it, damn you traveling! But maybe that's a reason why there isn't so much, because so many people go away, but I'm still not sure that's a good reason.
There was the Peka-Boo Music Festival, and before then, the cruise. There may be something else like that in the future.
I'd take anything as well. That long summer break from events is definitely noticeable.
I think that Epicon used to be in the summertime? I miss those events, because when I missed comic con in real life, I could always come here. :)

I'd rather forego any future events in the hopes of having a functional site that I'm okay with spending money on again, quite honestly.

Oh yeah very possibly, I miss them too, I was around but I can't remember why I never figured it out properly, I think I was trying to participate from Italy and missed signing up for a team or something! It was so sad because there were so many good wearable that I've never had the chance to get! I was it was like Vesnali where you could go back and buy later. I think I came out of it with like 6 points or something ridiculous and couldn't even buy a single item. :P
So sad~ but yeah, even another one of them would be good, more items, something to do. :D
Yeah well so would I, but to be honest this has been going on for years, do you remember the old SQL errors? There's always something wrong with this site, which is why I stopped spending my money here. However, that doesn't mean I want everything to come to a halt, I do like it here, it's just frustrating. Even if they shut down the site for a week, reworked EVERYTHING I doubt they'd manage to make it work. Honestly, no one feels that committed. It's always excuses, why no newsletter "because it's hard", really that's the reason, errors etc... I don't think this site will ever be amazing, but until it's better I just won't be spending money here. That's all. There's no point in me being mad, I'm just disappointed. After years and years of loyalty it's still pretty hard to get answers from the staff and so, c'est la vie.
But rant aside, I still want content. It's their job.
Sometimes, things coming to a complete halt is better than the option of things trundling along and coming to a complete halt anyways when something completely breaks.
I was here for when the big SQL errors happened, when HAs would randomly lose or gain items when things were added to the wardrobe and the last big attack from 4Chan. I know how these things go.
But I digress, I'm just tired of so many empty promises and little in the ways of actual progress.

The summer event should be "THE BIG FIX-A-THON OF SUBETA'S CODING 2016"
This is only acceptable event, right ?
Yes, but if only, right?

IF ONLY.
tbh, I wouldn't mind the Quest-a-Thon coming back. That was a short, but sweet event, and I think most people liked it, it wasn't ressource extensive, and worked well.
Subeta events are pretty repetitive. Like, Vesnali is starting this week and I'm just "eh" The site is more exciting when nothing is going on, because at least, you get a surprise with each news post instead of "oh. more fodder flower stuff. booyah"
I vaguely recall seeing something about a summer event being hinted at, but don't quote me on that. But that being said, I don't always mind the long break between holidays. It gives the artists time to work on others things not relating to a mass of holiday items.
Another Quest-a-thon would be fun though :D
That's why I like the plots, but right now I'm just hunting wearables even though I only change my HA every six months or so. I really enjoyed the Blake Steele event thing, with all the games.
In general, we keep that huge summer block open on the holiday schedule because different things happen each year. :) Like others have pointed out, we've done EPICon, The Cruise, crazy digging with Blake, Peka-Boo, etc during the summer.
The holiday list is a list of things we for sure do every year (Alegarten, Morostide, etc). I don't think users would appreciate me adding WHOoOOooOOo KNOWSSSS on the list for summer, haha.
Hint please.
please :(
I will buy a lot of Amy Bobbleheads and throw them to the sea as a thank you gift!
hahahhahahaha. I might use that as a response on threads now
Don't we all. I don't mind events it would maybe motivate me to come a little more. I stopped spending time and money on Subeta because of all the errors, glitches, lags and the disgusting amount of 502/504 downtime pages. So yeah, motivate me Subeta. I want battling tho. Please. I kinda miss summer plots and chill moments.
I just hope it isn't another one like the Shengui Guo plot. Which I loved, but it took forever to happen (which is understandable because it correlates with a specific real-world holiday) and was very fast paced and didn't really bring much to the table at the time. And then wasn't brought up during the other on-site holiday that relates to it.
I actually love that blank five months. It isn't the predictable grind. It can be ANYTHING in those months. My first summer was Pirates vs Islanders, which was so fun. I also loved Epicon, Reading Drive (which is discontinued) and the Saheric plot. There's always a chance for something great. I'd be disappointed if an annual holiday was put in there.
