In this game, we're going to have two different teams! We're all pirates here, so let me explain who is who. Team Aurora is the Crew of The Aurora, a great Sloop of War that is run by yours truely, Captain Asher (AKA - Captain Fabulous/The Poppinjay). Who are we? Well we're pirates who specifically target other pirates! Team ??? - This is the second team, a band of pirates who have been severely wronged by the crew of The Aurora. Afterall, what pirates steal from other pirates?! It's maddness! First person to Join this team is the founder, and you get to name it and give it as much or as little backstory as you want. I'll update this to your wishes.

How this game is going to work: Role Play: -There is going to be some MILD role play. If you don't like role play, remember it's only a little. It's to keep me from being bored as I can't participate in the game itself. -All posts on this board are required to BE IN CHARACTER. Your character is your human avatar. You can change your avatar as much as you like, in fact, I encourage you change your outfits daily, but as a guideline if you start with a female avatar, try to stay female? -You may recieve art through this event if I find your character funny/interesting enough. So if you are trying to get art of your OC, you can always "cosplay" them with your avatar and leave me a link for the real reference. ;D The puzzles: -I will do one puzzle drop a day. It will be around 5:00-6:00PM EST. Weekend Schedules may Vary. As I am desperately in need of Trinkets, you'll be required to dance with me before I send you the puzzle (or you can just send me 10+ Steamworks/Lounge Trinkets). -Once you recieve the puzzle you can send it to the rest of your team. -The puzzles will be an assortment of simple games. The solution of these puzzles will spell out a pet name on this website. You must then go to this pet's page. This is the treasure room! Treasure Rooms: -On these pages will be a list of loot you've "found." Once the loot is found, you will post the puzzle solution here. You'll then be required to edit your post with how you plan to divide the loot among your team, and I'll send out the loot accordingly.

The Last Treasure Room: The last treasure room will be announced. This one will be the hardest puzzle to solve, and once it is solved, the room will yeild the BEST prizes. The team who does not win will recieve Consolation prizes, which are also nice, but not nearly as Envy-Inducing. ALL players will recieve CSC at the end of this game.

Now that you know how this is going to work, how do you Join? Simple! Post a quick intro of who you are and what team you're on so I'll know where to put you. Make sure to send me a dance so I have your usernames and so you can learn mine as well!

WHEW! That was a lot of typing! Glad you kept up! Without further ado, the rest of this post will be in character for me! Being a pirate was probably not the most sound carreer choice for Asher. You'd think someone who was trying to keep their mythical origins a secret would choose a much less flashy occupation.

But adventure and mischeif went hand and hand with the Pirate Captain.

He'd gotten himself into yet even more trouble this time around and it had happened during his last raid. There had been chaos everywhere and by sheer chance, a member of the enemy crew had brushed up against the smallest of ear feathers.

And that's where everything really went downhill.

You see, as a Tengu (something akin to a male harpy) he had one very intergral ability. The ability of illusion. For all intents and purposes, any normal person who looked at him would see him as a normal human. They wouldn't notice the feathered ears, or more obviously, the giant bird-like legs. It made life infinitely easier for the gentleman pirate, who enjoyed mingling with humans as much as possible. Afterall, people tended to react differently upon seeing a giant bird monster.

There was, however. One fatal flaw to this ability. The illusion would permanantely, and irreverably be broken with just the simple touch of a harpy or tengu feather.

And now these pirates he'd made convinent enemies of knew of his identity. Just from one simple brush of a feather.

With the fear that these pirates would try to steal back something more valuable to him than his treasure--a single tengu feather--Asher'd run off with all the treasure, stashing it in various places on his way. He'd managed to send some cryptic letter to his crew on where to find him, but since he'd known it'd likely be intercepted, he'd neglected to mention just where their newly obtained treasure had been hidden.

And that is why Asher now hid in plain sight, masked within the crouds of a masquerade, offering drinks in exchange for trinkets.

"Dear heavens, what have I gotten myself into?" he whispered, with a sigh. "If I get out of this mess I swear I'll give up piracy and become a poet or something."

This of course, was a lie.

With a sigh, the white-haired young man entered the ball room. He had gotten the message all fine but needing to mingle with such an number of people made him unusually timid. He prefered the open sea and the rocky surface of the shore. As far as cities went he was content with any that lay close to the coast, even better when they had a habor. The sound of his hooves was muffled by the elaborate carpets as he looked around for the rest of his crew. Sofar he could not see any familiar face. He wished he could simply hold a sign saying: "I'm Umbra, I lost my family.", but he could not. Not with this other band of pirates on their heels. Therefore the white haired continued his round occasionallydancing with people to see if he knew them.Hopefully he would find his crew soon. After all, he had sent a coded noticeon how he'd look through the organization so they should find him pretty soon.

Meanwhile at the pub.... Bird was drinking her heart out trying to forget the losses of her crew's treasure. Someone had stolen it all and she yet heard that the captain who stole it had been revealed. By now she was in a drunken stupor when the door banged open. There stood one of her crew excited and out of breath...

After receiving the ASP special code from Umbra.... Webby takes off..... hoping her Army disguise will help her blend in.... When she feels a tap on her shoulder! Whirling quickly.... She is confronted with a person she doesn't recongize....

Hiding in a masquerade now felt both brilliant and thrilling, and utterly frustrating. He'd tried to peek around for faces he remembered, but of course they were covered in masks and costumes. Even the most outlandish man in his crew wouldn't stand out here. Asher was about to give up hope until he'd carelessly bumped into a young silver-haired boy.

"O-oh! Oh my. I'm sorry. I didn't spill anything on you did I?"

He asked, setting aside the tray, to free his hands. A spark of recognition in his eyes.

"Ah... do I know you...?" he asked, timidly, afraid to reveal to much to ears who might be listening in.

He eeped a bit as someone suddenly bumped into him. Luckily though, no drop marred his beautiful cloak he had used to make the antlers seem more of a part of his mask. As soon as the white hair haerd the sound of a somewhat familiar voice, relief swapped over him.

"You .. might? If you are familiar with adventures and the brotherhood that comes with going through dangers together", the deer answered in kind. He was pretty positive he met his captain, but there were way too many people for him to be overjoyed.

"Oh thank heavens," Asher sighed in relief. "How many of you are here? How many can you get here? I've... um. Our mutual interest is a bit too much for one person to handle. A few extra hands would be a welcome relief."

This time he breathed an audible sigh. "I'm not so sure. I was hoping to get 4 more of our brothers, but I don't know how many my note has reached. I am sure the most adventurous of them will be here in no time." Umbra always had great faith in his crew, they were family after all. "I haven't noticed any one else yet."

Country staggers in slightly out of breath from the run she had just made, being part vulpine had it perks of course, she was able to keep quiet as she would sneak around and "gift" herself with little trinkets she would "find". The shinier the better, and masquerade was always the BEST time of year to acquire new treasures, most people wore their fanciest items and were so busy dancing about it was easy picking. The masks everyone wore only made things better, although it was hard at times to remain anonymous with her perky ears and flowing tails giving her away more often than not.

She stands to the side, not wanting to join in conversation just yet... weighing her options, "Do I befriend these fellows? Or would they be easy targets?"

Asher glanced around the ball room, but all he could see was a mass of masked people wandering the floors.

Shoot, he thought.

"All right," he said, beaming the confidence of his position. He was a captain after all. There was no space for uncertainty in front of his own crew members. "I'll devise a way to... pass the word on. You. Well, I know how much you are going to hate this, but go mingle around will you? See who you can find. Trust me when I say you're going to need every hand."

With a small bow. "I'll be taking my leave dear."

Webby turning around again spots Umbra and Makes her way toward him. ON Finaly approach... slips him a ASP Note to identify herself

After an unknown crew told bird of her captains whereabouts an excited gleam in her eye sobered her up quickly. Bird aka cris ... Reenters the ballroom looking for her beloved captain.

Umbra swallowed but nodded bravely. "Yes, I'll ... I'll do my best." After all his captain placed such a lot of trust in him. It would not do to disappoint him. "Until later", he wished the Tengu and was still watching him leave when suddenly a hand slipped something into his fingers. He read the note and beemed. There was number one! "Well metmy Lady", he answered and did his own little bow before the teal clad female. "It honours me very much that you answered my call so promptly."

Asher weaved through the crowd almost dropping his drink tray as he avoided being jostled around by other people enjoying the party. He winked at a couple of people, taking empty glasses and tips while he was at it. Eventually he found his way back into the lounge. He heaved an exhausted sigh.

Nevermind, I'm never giving up piracy. He thought.

He spotted a guest drowning away her sorrows in too many drinks for her own good.

"Ah," he said, turning his tray over to the bartender. "Are you all right m'dear?"

Ah.. Cap...er i mean dear sir. Is it true? The gleam in her eyes brighter.

As Umbra and Webby DAnce.... Webby Whispers I see a few possibles. and some one has tried to disturb me.... or im being paranoid... or this place is insanely packed. Why did we meet here again?

"I ah... are you drunk already?" He raised an eyebrow."I mean. I'm not sure what you're asking about, but, be careful about the names you use here. You're in luck... that is. If you can sober up a little."

"This place IS insanely packed!" And even that doesn't dothe masses justice, at least in his eyes. "However it's the best way to meet without getting found out too soon." After all those were pirates at their heels, people who knew how to hunt down enemies. "I guess we're supposed to lay some false trails. Be careful though. I do think the other people are here as well. The sooner we find all of our brothers and sisters the better."

"Drunk me? Ha! I am just tipsy." hahaha... Bird feeels a little woozy and catches the corner of the table with her hand to hold herself up. The masked man shakes his head and goes over to some bottles and makes some sort of strange drink. "Ah this should help. Here." he hands bird the glass and she drinks it. The nasty tasting concoction does the trick as bird sobers up much more and coughing. From the bitter taste. "Ugh what... Are you grying to poison me sir?"

[Spoiler] sorry got wires crossed in first post. But i can make ot out that bird was misinformed. I am on your team [/spoiler]

Country sighs as she watches the others... such a big part of her wanted to join in with their little group, but she always preferred to have others below her...she loved being in charge... but at the same time how nice it must be to idolize another and be a part of something where she didnt have to be the brains 24/7.

"I KNOW... I KNOW they are like me, I can see it in how they move, how they are watching the others dancing and itemizing everything. They are going to make a move," she thinks to herself.

Finally she bumps the curious creature that seems to be in charge, "Hmm excuse me... you seemed to have stepped on my tail," her eyes sparkling as she looked into his trying to figure out just what she should be saying...was she being judged?

(on a side note this is my first ever RP experience forgive me if i do or say something wrong...)
