Ruby was disappointed. They had rushed to the location hidden in the note, only to find it was too late. The other crew had already made off with everything. She slumped into the nearest chair, a glum look on her face.

Country walked over to Ruby, "sorry to be a disappointment hun. I tried so hard, I guess I just wasnt quick enough this time... we will triumph I assure you!" Country grabbed the nearest bottle and drained it... her frustration showed in her eyes, she did not want to have this feeling again, she would show them next time.

Cris now recognized her worthy opponent. That fox creature was a sly one. She had better keep alert and stay away from the rum. Not an easy task. But, for the crew, it had to be done. If not careful that fox might be the captain's undoing.

Umbra was besides himself with joy and hugged Cris tightly. After all it was her doing that had helped them to win their loot. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!", the deer chanted over and over again."The captain will be sooo proud." He whirld around with his fellow crewmember and his laughter filled the air.

Ruby looked up at Country "It's not your fault, you were very quick. Quick as a fox I'd say" she smiled. "I need to be faster" "Next time...we will get there first!" she added, a fire in her eyes

Jay was still pouting. They had failed to filch most recent loot, and it had been days since she'd blown anything up. She looked ruefully at her tiny clutch, an accessory suggested by one of her crew.

"You can't even hold dynamite!" she accused the clutch. "What do you have to say for yourself?" Jay waited a moment and then yelled, "Unsatisfactory! Into the deep with you!" And she chucked it into the nearest punch bowl.

"Need at least something big enough to stuff an Ikuut into," she muttered as she wondered away in search of a dancing partner.

Country's head was throbbing, it had been a long day. She woke this morning hung over from her night spend drowning her sorrows. She honestly didn't know if she would be of any help on the next raid.

Is there a way this couldbe moved to the chit-chat subforum User-run Games please? We'd like to finish this but Masq will most likely end before then. I'd have pingend the minimad of the chit-chat forum but I can't find to whom I'd ask this question.

Ah, as always he could count on his crew to move quickly. Though the enemy crew was also alarmingly quick with their responses.

He didn't have much time left as the masquerade was coming to a close. He doodled a quick message for his crew, signing at the obviousness of it. He slipped it under an empty cup at the bar, hoping to flag a cremate down before out disappeared.

Umbra galloped to his captain. "I found it, it's at Baelier!" The young deer panted heavily. Did he manage to beat the other team?

"Arrggggh! Rrrrr," Jay was yelling incoherently in front of a slightly alarmed glade Bumbus.

The hoof prints and few stray white hairs confirmed her suspicion that she had been maddeningly close to finding treasure. These traces reminded Jay of an enemy pirate Country had described to her.

"Rggghhh. Need some roasted venison and chicken."

She twisted the train of her outfit in her hands until it ripped. She growled at it but then a grin widened over her face. This was her native Ziara, after all. She kept several hiding places of explosives scattered about. Being a Ziaran miner's daughter, she had a special supply stored away in the Coda Caves.

She giggled and told the Bumbus, "Looks like they'll be fireworks at the Masquerade tonight!"

cris was in shock... " good lord how did you move that fast???" she gave a wink at her captain. The pun was intended.

Country ran up to Jay, "What did I miss? I'm sorry I was being detained by some authorities, apparently my necklace (well my former necklace) was a family heirloom to an esteemed family and was a one of a kind... I said I bought it from a white haired boy with antlers, returned it at once and apologized.. was their another clue to where more treasure was hidden?"

Country sat down and wondered where everyone had disappeared to. She had been having such a good time, but it seemed with the end of Masquerade came the end of her fun.
