Hi guys! I thought to separate things a bit more I'd ask about suggestions here instead in the chat thread (sorry for all the pings again) it's probably better to keep suggestions in one thread so we don't get overwhelmed with threads. I'll keep past events in spoilers so we don't have to think of new things for the following year. So Vesnali is supposed to be the last week of April which I'm assuming will start in the next few days unless they push it back. there will be flowers floating around that you can give to friends to each receive Vesnali coins you can spend in Esther's shop. For those of you who have been around for Vesnali before,

• what are your favourite parts about it?
  - which threads do you use the most?
  - which threads do you feel are missing/lacking?
  - what kinds of activities would you like to see that we can maybe do better as a small community than in the main forums
  - anything you'd like to ask/say/add or any other general thoughts

For those of you who haven't participated in Vesnali yet,

• what are you mostly looking forward to from what you know/have heard?
  - what are you hoping to see?
  - absolutely any other thoughts or opinions

I will gather suggestions in the spoiler below and hopefully we can come up with something to do!

For most of the Masquerade's I tend to just do the "Dance with the person above you" but I know how that can get missed. Something I JUST thought of, what if we have all of the people who join on a list and we set up a way so that one person get's danced with for a time frame? I know based on how many people we have and time zones it may not work out, but it's a way to make sure that someone is getting danced without being missed. I don't mind helping out with running a thread(s) at the start, it may just be a little later for me to update them once I start my new job.

Yeah I hear that happens a lot :c I'm sure nobody here would do that though (at least not on purpose) That might work as well though I don't know how to best arrange that because of the reasons you mentioned :c I'll put it in the first post though, maybe someone has an idea how to make it work!

I was thinking maybe have a set time where people could get a spot. Not to like cut people out, but have most of it done so if late comers come (or even new comers :) ) they could be added it. Randomize the order and then see about a time frame. The less people maybe do bigger chunks of time, and for more people do smaller chunks of time. Keep a list (maybe on the first post) of people who have been danced with and those who haven't. That way if maybe someone can't keep updating the list someone else would see it and continue it from there? Unless we can get a couple semi dedicated people (I say semi because we all have things to do outside of subeta) to keep track, so when Person A has to go to bed Person B can take over, ect. And maybe a couple backup people so if something comes up and the person at the moment has to stop someone can take over.

That does sound like something that would work! I hope we can manage to do that somehow.

Maybe we could set the dancing partner based on whose time zones are close to each other? like how and both live in California and I live in Texas

I guess but then again I'm in the UK and I'm online at the same time as you mostly xD You just don't really know :c Personally I think it's easier if we had a seperate thread for dancing partners and then if you're on you just ask if anyone is free or see if anyone already asked. Idk though ;x;

That's true xD I feel like the easiest things is just to pair up people who are active on here and we can also pair up with those who aren't on as much so they can have trinkets too

we could always just have everyone sign up who is interested then have everyone ask a person from the list if they would like to be dance partners. Like a real dance. Of course people could say no or even warn I'm only on these times etc but everyday someone can choose a new person from the pool to ask to dance with. Almost like a I'm online now and want to dance kinda thing

Personally I really like the dance with the person above threads in the general holiday section because then I don't have to worry about whether I've danced with someone too little or too much (unlike in a partner situation). Personally I'm never sure how much I can or can't be online at any given point so being able to just pop in and out of a thread is just easier and more fair to others. Also the dance with the person above threads are really helpful for building up forum tickets/points.

Yeah, you do have a point. Do you think it'd be worth making a group thread for that to make sure nobody gets skipped?

- Before I forget to mention it, something different about Masquerade than the other events is that the items put into the event shops come in waves instead of all being added at once like Survival. So they'll put a batch of items into both the Steamworks Menagerie and the Libertine Lounge and then add another batch later on in the event. I remember there being at least two batches of items, but they might have done three before (I really, really can't remember on that part). This might make it hard to know exactly how many trinkets you need total until all of the batches come out.

Another important thing to know is that you can use Lounge Trinkets to trade in for Steamworks Trinkets. In the 2011 tab of the Libertine Lounge, there are three different bags of Steamworks Trinkets at the bottom. The Bronze costs 100 Lounge Trinkets and gets you 50 Steamworks Trinkets. The Gold costs 200 Lounge Trinkets and gets you 100 Steamworks Trinkets. The Platinum costs 500 Lounge Trinkets and gets you 250 Steamworks Trinkets.

In terms of the different suggestions floating out there, my schedule is random (and I'm kind of a night owl anyway) and tends to change. I like the idea of saying that I'm on for X amount of time or saying that I can offer X number of dances to someone before I go offline. I've posted in the "Dance with the person above you" threads, but I get a high number of people who never end up dancing with me -.-. And now that I've written a book, I'll shush :P.

Oh damn that makes it harder. But then I guess it's good we're gathering ideas now xD I had no idea about the exchange! I will most likely end up doing that because I don't really collect food unless it looks cute lol.

So would you say it'd be good to have a "dance with the person above you" thread as well as one where you ask who's free to dance/assign people kind of thing? That's the feeling I'm getting so far.

- I don't really go for food either, so the exchange makes it easier for me to actually get the stuff I want. Before the bags were introduced, you could still trade two libertine lounge trinkets for a steamworks one, but it was one by one instead of a mass exchange and took FOREVER. I think both of those threads sound like a great idea. People can choose whatever option works best for the time they are available.

Edit: Also, I really hope we have a plot this year to go along with the Event. This happens every once in awhile, and I'm eager for it. Gotta poof for awhile to go pick up the partner!

I think so too! The only thing I'm wondering about now is how and are going to get trinkets :c If they don't come online again that is, I have no idea what's happening with either of them.
Omg that sounds like a nightmare =_= But yes I think having options is good. I mean we can always go on the main forums but I feel like it's safer(?) here cause you know people will be nice and respectful c: Yeah a plot would definitely be nice!

Maybe we can make a schedule for those who're inactive and everyone dances with them as well as in the forums?
