In a world where Shinobi are the prevalent military force, one young man searches for his destiny!
This thread takes place in the wonderful world of Naruto. A few years after Shippuden ends, life has finally begun to rebalance itself. There are many fine Ninja in the Village Hidden in the Leaves, many of which are now taking on genin as teachers. These Ninja just happen to be the ones that Hokage Uzumaki, the Sixth, grew up with! There’s a new class about to graduate to become genin, and they’re read to meet their new teachers so they can get started on becoming real shinobi!
So rules? Oh gosh, you guys know the rules I’m sure. Lets just be fair and have fun. No knowledge of Naruto is required as I am only a little ways into Shippuden myself, so I’m flying half-blind anyway. Everything will be explained as we go if needed. I would prefer that if you decide to join that you have at least one original character. Although, if anyone is dead set on only playing existing Naruto characters, we can work something out!
Please post a character sheet and your favorite color (and why) if you read these rules. lets try to have some fun here. I'm Going to ping a few people on the off-chance they want to try this one.
Below is my character sheet. Once you post yours, I will assign your shinobi to a squad. If I need to make NPCs so some people can have a complete squad, I'll write them in!
Name: Yanagi Uchiha
Age: 11
Rank: Genin
Squad: 6 (lead by Lee Sensei)
Appearance: ( I would love to put a picture up for you guys to see, but I do not know how to make portal links .-.) Yanagi is average height for his age and built about the same as his grandfather, Sasuke, was as a child. He wears his leaf headband normally across his forehead, doubling its purpose to include holding his purple-dyed hair up. Some would say he looks like his Grandfather’s old teacher, Kakashi Hatake. His hair is similar in style, falling a little more than the old coot’s did. Yanagi’s ears are pierced and stretched, but not overly big. He’s only a kid so his mother, Sarada only allows him to stretch them so far. He wears a black vest with a wide, high rise collar that nearly goes up to his mouth. Under his vest is a tight-fitting, dry fit, long sleeve, grey shirt. He wears dark grey shorts and black shinobi shoes (an open toed, shoe/sandal hybrid for those who don’t follow the show.) and leg wrappings up to his knees. He wears a family heirloom passed down from his grandfather; a silver ring with a red circle bearing the character for “vermillion”.
History: Yanagi was eager to enter the academy, well as eager as he gets. Yanagi tends to be especially bored with life until he goes up against a worthy opponent. He has his grandfather’s natural talent, and his grandmother’s temper. Surprisingly he doesn’t take much after his parents, but he loves his mother. He never knew his father, who died on assignment when he was a baby. This may be his reasoning for getting attached to his teachers if they are male. His academy class was taught by Ino Sensei, so he wasn’t very attached, but just wait until he finds out who is going to be leading squad six!
Specialty: The Uchiha clan is known for its prowess with the fireball jutsu, so naturally he is an adept user of the fireball jutsu and variants of it. He can use all basic jutsu as well as a top-class genin, but his test scores are usually what kill his grades. It’s not that he is bad at taking tests, he simply gets bored and falls asleep. He also can use a beginning stage Sharingan eye.
I would like to join, if it's ok! :D
I can play as an original character, Sakura Haruno.
Let me know if it's alright for me to join, i can then post my character skelly!
The thing is, according to the timeline this thread is taking place, Sakura is now as old as Tsunade was in shippuden (older than she looked). Hokage Uzumaki is the same age as Jaraya. If you still want to play as Sakura, that's up to you I guess.
Yes, i know she would be very old in this generation for the story.
i decided i should leave it. Thanks for the answer btw. ^^
Name: Uzumaki Minato
Age: 11
Rank: Genin
Appearance: Minato has an athletic build and the signature red hair of the Uzumaki clan that he keeps exactly like Minato Namikaze did, in fact other then his red hair, he is the spitting image of Minato. He wears green cargo jeans that cinch just below the knees and a long sleeve black shirt that he rolls up to his elbows. On the back of his shirt is the Uzumaki clan's symbol of a red swirl. For some reason, he never wears shoes. He wears his leaf head band wrapped around his right bicep. He bears many different tattoos on his body, but only the ones on his arms are ever visible.
History: Minato, named after Minato Namikaze, is the son of Himawari and also to another Uzumaki descendant. Never knowing his father that died before his birth, his mother passed his training on to someone else. He lived with old lady Karin, who is also his grandmother and has learned many of the Uchiha clans sealing techniques. He has developed a fear of his mentors moments of "mental instability" that has projected itself onto the way he interacts with other women. Through the teachings of his mentor, he has become very intelligent, but as a result he is somewhat proud. His goal is to live up to the legend of fourth hokage and he tries to act as if he is already the great ninja that the fourth was.
Specialty: Minato has been trained in the Uzumaki arts of sealing and uses temporary tattoos to summon weapons to fight with. His favorite weapon is a three-pronged kunai that was one his great-grandfather's. Being an Uzumaki, his bloodline is blessed with the Uzumaki clan's great reserves of chakra and long life spans, including the ability to suck chakra from his blood in order to speed up rejuvenation for himself or others during emergencies, but it takes a great toll on his body and chakra reserves. He has an affinity to lightning chakra like his namesake was believed to have. Lastly, being a descendent of the Hyuga bloodline, he has blue eyes like his mother but he is able to awaken the byakugan, although he does not use it very often as it is difficult for him to maintain due to his lack of training in any of the Hyuga clan's techniques.
Favorite color: Blue, because blue, oh and green too, cause green is pretty cool too.
[I feel like this one will be a lot of fun huehhuehhueh]
Ooh, this looks fun! I’m currently watching Shippuden as well. Also, my favorite color would probably be red because I always seem to end up dying my hair that color. Heh.
Name: Sora Sayake Age: 11 Rank: Genin
Appearance: Sora has long, dark brown hair that falls to her waist in layers. Her bangs are short and choppy and parted to the left side of her face. Her porcelain skin and dark blue eyes matched with her long eyelashes give her an almost doll-like appearance. For clothing she wears the usual blue, opened toed shinobi shoes and a long, navy colored dress that splits open at the sides (similar to Sakura’s style). The split goes all the way up to her waist so she wears black tights underneath. The dress has white detail around the edges. She also wears a matching white sash around her waist that ties to the back into a bow. On her left thigh, pretty much hidden under the dress, she has a pouch where her small ninja tools are kept.
History: Sora is originally from Sunagakure, but she grew up in Konoha. Her parents never returned from a mission when she was around 4 years of age and she had no other family in the village. However, her father had been good friends with a man in Konoha, and upon hearing about his death, offered to take Sora into his family. The Hidden Sand opposed this at first, but figured it would be better than putting her into another family that had no connection with her parents. The Fujioka family were normal people (not ninjas), but they encouraged Sora to go on as a ninja like her parents had been. Sora barely remembers her real parents, but her adoptive father would tell her stories and held no secrets about them from her. She began to train on her own and never really became popular with kids around her age.
Specialty: Her mother was skilled in pupeteering, and she faintly remembers playing with puppets when she was little. Sora took this skill on, becoming very interested in the art form. This has helped her become better at chakra control and tracking enemy movement. She does well in close combat, but prefers the long distance range she can get from puppets. She’s also dabbling in poisons, which seems to go hand in hand with her specialty.
[okay! Three makes a squad, so you probably know what it's going to be! LETS DO THIS] [nice to meet you! Welcome to my rp!]
The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and Yanagi had just graduated from the academy. He was finally a real shinobi, but he didn't see this as any great accomplishment. He simply saw it as the next step to becoming a member of the anbu black ops. That was his family's heritage, so he would seek it out.
As he sat at his favorite ramen shack, he wondered how he would get along with the teammates that were announced after graduation. Having never really talked to Sora, and with Minato striking him as loud and obnoxious, he figured he was in for a long ride. He stared at his headband for a while before tying it around his head. He did feel proud, but he had no one to share that with. Other than his mom, he didn't really have friends. Suddenly, to his left he heard a voice he knew quite well,
"One miso, pork ramen, and don't hold back on the pork!" The voice said. Whoever it was had a lot of energy, even for being what sounded like about fifty years old.
Yanagi looked to see none other than the Sixth, Hokage Uzumaki! "L-lord Hokage!" Yanagi gasped in his low (for his age), airy voice.
"Make that two!" The Hokage added, followed by the cook's reply,
"You got it!"
The Sixth looked at Yanagi with enthusiasm, "Congrats, kid. My treat, since you just graduated." He said with a thumbs up. "Who else is in your squad?"
Yanagi was frozen for a moment. It wasn't every day that a lowly genîn had ramen with the Hokage, but he collected himself and recited what he had been told before they were released, "I've been assigned to squad six with Uzumaki Minato, and Sayake Sora." He answered systematically, "My squad leader is a Jonîn level ninja named 'Lee' Sensei." He added.
He wasn't sure how to read the Hokage's face after that. He definitely looked younger than he really was, but his facial expression was both one of pity and pride. "He's a good sensei." Was all he said before the ramen was served. Yanagi guessed the pride on his face was that of the fact that his grandson was on the same team as his best friend's grandson. At least, that was the best explanation Yanagi could think of.
The two bowls were set in front of the pair of shinobi, but Yanagi waited for the Hokage to start out of respect.
"Well, what're ya waiting for, you'll need your strength for training.... Especially with Lee Sensei..." He said, trailing off as he split his chopsticks and began to dig in. Yanagi followed suit, thankful for the meal, and honestly for the company too.
[remember to have fun! Naruto can be silly, serious, tragic, romantic, and more so let's have fun. I am maintaining control of Lord Hokage Uzumaki Naruto, and Rock Lee Sensei. Feel free to manipulate other NPC's if needed. I can't wait to meet you guys' characters!]
((Nice to meet you both! It has probably been well over a year since I've rp'd, so I'm looking forward to getting back into it. ))
The newly made shinobi stared at her younger sibling who was jumping up and down in front of her with a closed eyed smile. This made Sora snap back into reality and out of her thoughts.
“Put it on, sis! Put it on!” the 6-year-old exclaimed, finally standing still for a second as she watched her sister. Of course, the two weren’t really related. The young Kioko knew this, but having grown up with Sora around, she still considered her a sister even though Sora would usually call her parents by their names.
Sora pulled her hair to one side, draping the shiny new headband around her neck before tying it. Flipping her long hair back, she smiled, finally feeling the excitement. She was now a fully fledged shinobi!
“They would be proud,” she heard her father say as he placed a hand on her shoulder. She knew he was referring to her real parents. Sora nodded, but just before she could open her mouth to speak, the small blonde-haired girl piped back up again, shooting her hand up in the air.
“I’m next! I’m going to graduate from the academy and become a ninja too!”
“You can worry about that after you finish cleaning your room, Kioko,” her mother replied in a stern voice. The 6-year-old groaned as her mother, whom she was a splitting image of, grabbed her hand and dragged her inside the house. The woman looked back at Sora with a wink. “I’ll make you your favorite dessert to celebrate tonight!”
“Hey, Eito,” Sora began, turning to the older man once the other two had disappeared inside. “Thanks for helping me. I mean, I’m really grateful that you and Rita have been so supportive. Especially since you two aren’t shinobi. You guys are amazing parents,” she finished with a smile.
The man laughed and the two exchanged words before Sora decided she would run into town. By this, Sora meant she was going to run down to the river that stood near all the training areas. There was a spot she would visit frequently that provided a nice quiet area to think or sometimes she’d bring a book (especially if Kioko was acting up and being loud at home).
Sora let out a sigh and plopped down underneath a tree, leaning her back against it with her legs outstretched just a few feet away from the river. Her teammates consisted of an Uchiha and an Uzumaki; both were very powerful clans and well known. She could only hope that she’d be able to get along with them, especially since teamwork was essential.
[BTW Naruto is the seventh Hokage :P, I know you haven't watched that far, but I got you.]
The crisp morning air in the forest surrounded Minato while he concentrated all the chakra he could into his hands. Minutes past, but he still could not get enough of a reaction out of his chakra to functionally reproduce the attack he had seen a thousand times. The Rasengan. To achieve his ultimate goal of surpassing his namesake, he had to start with learning the Rasengan. He was only able to accumulate the chakra in his hand, but nothing more. He refused to seek out any training on how to do it from gramps or uncle, because he was too proud. Telling himself that the fourth Hokage was able to do it was all he needed as motivation.
Thrusting his hand towards the tree, he blasted a palm sized hole into the tree. "Still not even close." Truthfully, the reason he was hiding out in the woods was because he didn't want to go meet his team. He would much rather be on a team by himself, but now he would have to work together with two others. He had seen Sora around, but he never spoke a word with her. On the bright side, she didn't seem incompetent and Yanagi was also going to be on the team. No matter how arrogant he seemed, he atleast was strong and he felt that they might be able to keep up with him. Pulling the Konoha headband out of his pocket, he looked at it with pride. He was now, finally, a shinobi and he would do anything to reach his goal. Tying the headband on to his left bicep, he gripped the cool forest dirt between his toes one more time and ran back towards the village in order to finally meet his new team members that he would be working with.
"I have enough time to see gramps first so I might as well go see him now and since I already know where he goes to slack off on his duties, it will be easy to find him." Spreading the curtains apart so he could enter the ramen shop he immediately greeted his grandpa Naruto. "Hi Gramps!!" Turning to see who was already sitting next to him, Minato was surprised. "Oh, hey Yanagi...." Sitting down on the other side of Naruto, Minato beamed up at him. "Of coarse, your buying me a bowl too, right gramps!?" Waiting on his bowl of ramen, Minato looked over at the new graduate sitting on the opposite side of the Seventh Hokage. "So, it looks like we will be on the same team, do you want to head over to where we will meet Lee-sensei together?"
[OOC sry I wrote this yesterday but couldn't see well enough to edit it, may still have grammar problems and I also wrote it before Lis posted so it didn't have her in mind. Please forgive me haha, everything's blurry :P ]
Yanagi, not usually easily suprised, was caught off-guard by the sudden appearance of his new teammate, Minato. Of course it made sense that he would see the youngest Uzumaki with his grandfather before the team assembled. He gave Minato a nod and returned to his meal. His teammate's demand for his own bowl made him sound a little too privileged as the Hokage's grandson, but Yanagi let it go. It wasn't worth commenting on his rudeness.
"Sure thing, hey how about another!" The *seventh called out. The chef called back an affirmation and set another bowl in front of the boy. "Eat up now, you guys need to go." The Seventh added, giving his grandson a thumbs up before he got up to leave, having already devoured his food. "You'll do great!"
With that he left, a wad of money on the counter.
Yanagi continued to eat in bored silence. He felt no need to talk to Minato, they weren't a team yet. He already knew what Minato was capable of from class. Sora-San was the one he didn't know much about, so his focus was on what she could bring to the table. He remembered seeing some impressive chakra work from her, so maybe she was a support-type. Perhaps a long-range specialist. He was a mid-range to close range type himself so that made for a pretty balanced team. It was Minato's showboat style that concerned him. He was, according to Yanagi's mother, much like his grand father. He wouldn't admit this, but those mannerisms don't just go away when you spend time with someone. At least, that was the Uciha's deduction. He supposed he could be wrong, but he figured time would prove him right.
Eventually he finished his noodles and his thought. He set the bowl up on the rack and thanked the chef, tossing a couple of coins on the counter as a tip before leaving the shack on his way to the training grounds by the river. They were instructed to meet there, and he assumed that Sora-San would be there as well.
[thanks homie.]
A cold breeze kicked up, making the leaves above the kunoichi rustle gently. A single leaf fell from its branch and danced in the wind before falling lightly into the water and being carried away by the river’s current.
Sora lifted her head to the sky and figured it would be a good idea to start heading towards the training ground where she’d meet Lee-sensei and her teammates. She had to admit, she was a bit nervous. ’They’re probably nervous too,’ she thought to herself as she stood up, suddenly recalling the few times she had seen Minato and Yanagi back at the academy. ’Yeah, maybe not,’ she sighed as she began to walk.
The girl gently kicked a rock that was in her path just as the sound of excited chatter was heard ahead of her. She looked up to see three figures she recognized from the academy. The loudest of the three stood in the middle; a boy with dark, curly hair and a very mischievous look upon him. To his left was another boy who was slightly shorter than his teammate and a bit on the chubby side. Finally, to the right of the first boy, a girl with blonde hair pulled into pigtails. She had a slight blush on her cheeks as she listened to the taller boy talk, her hands clasped together and brought up to her chin as if admiring every word that came out of his mouth.
“Ehhh?” it was the taller boy. He had stopped in his tracks when he noticed Sora in front of him. With a smirk, he quickly ran up to her, flicking her headband with his index finger. “What is this?”
“It’s my headband, obviously,” Sora responded cooly. She heard a ‘tch’ sound come from the pigtailed girl, who now had her hands on her hips and was glaring in her direction.
“I know that. I’m just surprised they’d let a Sand village spy become a shinobi here,” the boy retorted as he fixed his own headband that was tied around his forehead.
Sora felt her cheeks grow hot with anger. She knew that many of the villagers knew about her real origin, but she had never been teased or bullied about it before. Not sure how to react, she walked around the boy who then quickly side stepped back in front of her with his arms out stretched.
“Hey I’m not done talking!” “I have to meet my teammates.” “They’d probably be fine without you. Why don’t you just head back to the academy and go play with your little dolls instead?”
A giggle was heard from behind him and Sora rolled her eyes. How could anyone find this attitude attractive? It was then a small smirk appeared on her face and she stared the boy straight in the eyes. “Okay,” she said as she reached behind her and pulled out a scroll that was hidden inside her sash just behind the bow, “I’ll play but I’d rather do it here.”
((Was going to continue but it would have gotten pretty long I think. Feel free to interfere if you'd like. I also need some time to figure out what her puppet is going to look like and what not. ^-^' ))
[feel free to continue! I can't post for Yanagi until does his post, and I kinda want to see how this plays out lol.]
[I got it, it was fun to work with. ]
"What a jerk!" Minato exclaimed out loud. Walking down the road he kicked rocks one by one to let off some steam. When he had finally looked up from his bowl of ramen, the Uchiha had disappeared from where he was sitting. "Even after I tried to be nice, what is with that lonesome cool guy attitude!?" Delivering a sharp kick to another rock in the middle of the road, he managed to drill it into the side of a large brown fence that lined the path towards the training grounds. Looking up ahead of him he noticed a group of people standing in the middle of the road.
As the wind shifted the long brown hair of the woman in front of him, he noticed her pale skin. 'Isn't that Sora....The one that I'm now teamed with?' he asked himself. Noticing the other three, he could tell that they weren't exactly friendly. Stopping in place, he rested his right hand on his face in his normal thinking pose. 'Hmmm, it's seems like I have two options, either run in swinging my fists around or I could step in nonchalantly as support. The first one does sound like a whole lot of fun, but the second one could have less repercussions.' After making his decision, he pulled up the sleeves of his shirt to his elbow and started walking towards Sora.
As he got closer, he watched as she pulled out a scroll from her sash. 'Welp, guess I have to go with option number two instead....', was the last thought he had an opportunity to make to himself before he was entered the situation.
Holding out his hand to stop Sora from unraveling the scroll, he spoke to her in a quiet voice, "Here let me take care of this..." Stepping in front of Sora, he stretched his arms out as if he was tired. "Now, now, why would you three be picking on my new teammate?", he managed to speak that much from between his yawn. "If you have any issues with her, your gonna have to go through me, Minato Uzumaki, first and I guarantee you'll regret it!" He flashed a devilish grin at the trio, as if to taunt them into trying anything.
"There he goes." Yanagi said to himself with a sigh. As he had deduced, Minato had the same star-of-the-show attitude he had heard about. Now he was stepping into a fight that was not his. Yanagi had been watching as he sat lazily on a rooftop high above the area. So far he could tell that Sora's emotions weren't exactly in full check, but she had pride. That being said, the fact that she was about to pull out her trump card before even engaging in battle showed her weakness. "One should study their enemy before making such a big move. At that range, a puppet master has a significant disadvantage." He surmised out loud. Not that they could hear him. He was high up where the wind would carry his words away. "At least Minato is there to even the odds." He added. He decided to stay where he was, and watch the altercation play out.
[sorry it's short, but like I said, I want to see what happens! ^.^ ]
Sora watched as Minato stepped in front of her and taunted the three genin. She felt slightly embarrassed as she wasn’t expecting to run into her new teammate right now, but also a little insulted that he’d step in when this was her fight. Not that she had intended to actually fight the boy who called her a spy; she simply wanted to scare him a little and knew that Hakurou, her puppet, would do just the trick.
“Ha! Stepping in for your little teammate, huh? This would make for a better fight anyway,” the curly haired boy said as he stepped closer towards Minato. Sora glared angrily as she received yet another insult. “Show him how it’s done, Taji!” the other boy yelled from afar, pumping his fist into the air. No, this was wrong. Minato had absolutely nothing to do with what was going on right now and Sora wasn’t about to let him get into a fight. Besides, they really had to get going. What would their sensei think about them being late on the first day?
Trying to calm herself, Sora stepped up beside the redhead and faced him. “Come on, you don’t have to do this,” she said loud enough for the others to hear. She turned to face the other boy as she finished her sentence and caught him just in time forming a fist and throwing a punch towards Minato. Quickly, she bumped her teammate to the side with her left shoulder, raising her right arm in front of her to block. Luckily, the punch missed. “Sorry, but this guy is mine,” Sora said, feeling relieved that she had pushed Minato out of the way in time. She really wanted to avoid a full on fight and hoped her plan would be enough. The girl then quickly turned to Taji who now looked irritated. “Oh come on already, who is it going to be?” “This is between you and me,” Sora said as she took a step forward. Using her right hand, she unraveled the scroll slowly while making a hand sign with her left. A cloud of smoke exploded from the scroll but cleared as quickly as it appeared to reveal a tall, thin figure that stood towering over the girl.
The puppet stood at about 6 feet and wore a dark hooded robe that had numerous rips and tears - giving it an almost grim reaper look. The hood did have fluffy, black fur trimming around it, however, which matched the style of the puppet’s messy and wild white hair. The slanted, gold colored eyes are what really stood out from the overall black and white appearance. Sora had created the puppet with her own two hands - taking about two years to perfect. She had used a not-so-detailed puppet to practice her skills with beforehand, but wanted to create a nicer one to have after her graduation. Thus, Hakurou was created.
Taji’s eyes widened at the sight of the puppet as it was his first time seeing it. He took a step back and reached for a kunai from a pouch strapped to his leg. Holding it firmly in his left hand, he began to run around Sora and her puppet. As he did this, Sora watched his movements carefully while chakra strings flowed from her fingers; ready to manipulate the puppet if he made a move. Taji showed no signs of slowing down and the kunoichi was growing impatient. Finding the right moment, she smirked and moved her left hand out in front of her, curling her fingers in. Hakurou quickly moved forward and the puppet’s arm extended to over twice its length, reached down, and swiped the boy off his feet. The boy let out a yell and as he began to fall, Sora manipulated the puppet once more to catch him before he hit the ground. Another twist of her hands and Hakurou was now holding the angry Taji in a tight hug. “Perfect,” Sora said with a smile as the puppet opened its mouth, revealing an open tube. “Stay still, yeah? I can finally test out this poison gas I’ve been working on.” There was a soft click from somewhere inside the wooden puppet as if something was readying. Taji’s eyes widened in fear; he was face to face with the tube! “N-no!” he struggled, and Sora intentionally loosened the grip Hakurou had on him so the boy was able to break free easily. He backed away immediately, still facing the puppet, and fell back panting in both exhaustion and fear. “Taji!” his female teammate screamed, running to his side with the other boy trailing after her.
Sora sighed in relief, hoping this would be the end of it.
Sitting on the ground with his legs crossed, Minato pondered in his usually pondering stance as the "fight" ensued. 'That was my chance to be the hero of the day and I missed it! I'm sure great grandpa had tons of those. Maybe he did it differently.... No wait, maybe I should have chose option number one!' Vexed at the ordeal, he was still pondering the situation he had been put in. 'And wait, I got teamed up with that jerk Yanagi so my only hope was in Sora and now it turns out that shes obviously insane. Who in there right mind would pull there puppet out in the middle of the village. That's akin to pulling a kunai out on someone.' Scrunching up his face in concern as the three seemed to be far too afraid to fight at this point. 'Welp, not all is lost, if anything that new puppet teammate looks like a cool dude to talk too.... Who am I kidding besides myself, I feel like I'm the only sane one!' Heaving a sigh of exasperation shortly after Sora heaved a sigh of relief, Minato stood up and waited for the results. There was no way he was going to step in a second time, before it got truly serious.
[mines short as well, it feels like a "and next time on Dragon Ball Z!" post.]
Once the puppet was out and the fight was settled, Yanagi made his way to the ground, and approached his teammates. "So, you're a puppet master then." He observed aloud to Sora. His tone was pleasant and a little impressed. "I figured you were long-range, but I didn't realize you still had some of that hidden sand heritage in you."
He approached the puppet, studying its exterior. It seemed that it was a beautifully designed piece of equipment. It was carefully crafted to frighten and demoralize the opponent before it even began to fight, and he could only assume it was riddled with weapons and traps. Such was the barbaric nature of a sand puppet, and honestly he liked having that on his team. "A beautiful weapon. Better put it away though, you wouldn't want our first meeting with Lee Sensei to start by him hearing you threatened a fellow shinobi's life." He said nonchalantly.
"Indeed, although your passion gives me good hope for our future together!" A voice said with optimism, following a poof of smoke. The voice came from an older-looking man wearing a green, full body training suit. He wore orange leg warmers, and wrappings on his forearms. His torso was adorned with a jonîn's vest. Although, nothing could prepare them for his glorious, shimmering, bowl-cut hair along with his thick eye brows and determined smile. He held the air of experience that matched his age, but years of training and balanced health, kept him looking younger. He looked about ten years younger than he really was.
"It is I, Rock Lee, the embodiment of youth and passion!" He announced, giving the group a thumbs up and a glinting smile.
A puppet master – yes, that’s what she was. Sora couldn’t help but smile at the title and even more as her skill was acknowledged. She hoped she could achieve mastery in her art one day. Skilled puppet masters were able to control up to 10 puppets by using just one string of chakra for each, although she had heard stories about a certain user being able to control hundreds using extreme body modifications. The kunoichi couldn’t imagine going that far.
Sora chuckled as she looked over to where Taji and his team had been only to catch a glimpse of them disappearing down the road. There was not a drop of poison hidden anywhere inside Hakurou. Not yet, anyway. Poisons were something she was just getting into and she definitely wouldn’t have done what she just did if her puppet had been carrying anything poisonous. Even if the boy had been rude and insulting, she knew better than to risk seriously injuring a fellow shinobi.
Her sensei’s voice caught her off guard and the genin quickly sent her puppet back to its summoning scroll. A light blush appeared on her face from embarrassment as she wondered how long he had been watching, but that thought quickly left her mind as she took in her team leader’s appearance. Her eyes went from his hair, to his eyebrows, to the smile that seemed to sparkle as he gave them a thumbs up. 'The embodiment of youth and passion, huh?', she thought to herself, giving him a forced smile (queue the sweat drop) in return. 'This is going to be interesting.'
At least they were all together now. With a small smile on her face, she quickly glanced over to her teammates before turning back to Lee. “Sayake, Sora. It’s nice to finally meet you, sensei,” the kunoichi said with a bow.
"Really!? It's about time you showed up!" Completely ignoring his new teachers sudden appearance, he was already begging to start a fight with Yanagi. "You were just gonna hide up there the whole time weren't y'a!?" Brushing up the sleeves of his shirt that were constantly falling down, he clenched his right fist until his knuckles were white. You could hear the grinding of his teeth as he scowled at his new teammate.
"So I heard you were going to be on the same team as Yanagi Uchiha and Sora Sayake?" Himawari Uzumaki sat down next to her son in the living room. He long black hair fell down her back in layers of curls. "Now before you say anything, let me tell you something first." While she waited for her son to look up at her to make sure that he was paying close attention to her words, she began to pour the out the newly steamed black tea into his cup. As Minato took a sip of the tea and showed a passive interest, she began to speak. "Between your Grandpa Naruto, your uncle Boruto, and your Grandma Karin; we have deep ties with the Uchiha family be sure to get along with Yanagi. Whenever our two families go head to head.....problems....tend to occur. As for Sora, I shouldn't have to say much. Just be sure to get along with your new teammates, alright?" She gave a broad motherly smile to her now grown son, but for Minato, that smile held much more meaning. It held all the terror only a mother could harbor in a smile. Wisely he nodded his head and finished his tea, it would be wise of him to heed her advice.
Remembering his mother's words, Minato unclench end his fist and looked away from Yanagi. Scratching his head he looked over at his new teacher and head of team six, Rock Lee. After hearing Sora introduce herself he stifled the last of his anger, he posed the only question that he felt was important anymore. "Minato Uzumaki is my name! So when are we going to start training Teach!?"
