This has been in place for the last couple of holidays and I gotta say I love it. I think it's a great way to get old restockables back out while still maintaining the value of them and not flooding the market. I was never any good at restocking so I never really bothered with the Holiday Shop at all so I find myself getting far more seasonal items now then ever before. It's always awesome to get a old holiday wishlist item from a quest giver. Gives them all a bit more excitement.

I hope this trend continues for future holidays :)

I like it but I think to put all the pool of the items to one-two quest is not that good idea, I would like them to spread them all over the quests.. or at least more than 1-2 quests..

Morostide had 2 quests for a lot of items and 1 day after the holiday many items came back to -none is SS- or 100mil..

Fireside have only 1 and as you can see, our dear Baked Sweet Potato Beanbag will be gone very soon from the system to another one year and many users will lose the opportunity to get it and to get the achievement.. I had to spend a lot for it and to win a competition against other users lol xD

I really like this too, but agree that I would like to see it spread over at least 2 quest givers, if not three.

I LOVE it when retired items are released this way, but don't be so flipping stingy! I can promise you that releasing more than 3 Baked Sweet Potato Beanbags won't hurt the economy. Spread it around - have Pete give out the retired foods, Alexander the books, Malreia the beanbags, etc.

This. I love that we are using quests to get those holiday items out, but some items need quite a few copies to go out, since so many people need to use them, and others want to sell them. Other than that, I really do love this! Especially during Keel Hauliday. ;A;

We like to keep an eye on how many go out, and putting them in all of the quests would result in the kind of massive deflation we aren't looking for. Believe me, if we did that you'd be instead talking about the worthless prizes you're getting. This makes it feel special when you get one of them (it is meant to be a special prize!) and if you don't get the one you're looking for at least chances are there are a few more of them in the system that you could buy from other users ;)

I'd like to see more quest-givers hand out items -- the holidays are a limited time (and the retired-items-at-quests thing doesn't usually start until partway into the festivities), there's a fairly sizeable pool of items (I assume), and only a rare chance of getting something at all, much less the exact thing you want/need.

The pool of items are usually all the really old expensive things with a few cheaper but still well loved TC items, so generally whenever you get a holiday bonus item it's worth it. It's also a pretty common chance to get a few each day. This year, we've had the quest givers start in the middle (or more towards the middle) of each holiday, but next year it'll be so much easier to push them right at the start of the holiday. :)

If we split them up via quest givers like books all go to Alexander etc it'd be ... really weird. Fireside has what, 8 books total maybe? It would mean adjusting the odds for each quest based on the pool, so you might not even get a bonus item from Alexander one day because his pool would be so small. It's also important to remember that some of these items, when they did restock, were higher rarity. So the fact they are going out at the same chance rate with the rest of the holiday pool is already working in your favor ;)

I like it sometimes, but I much much much prefer restocking. I like the fact that items had different rarities, and now that things are given out with the same chances sort of ruins it for people who restocked those super rares before. I hope we continue to have restocking holiday events for various holidays - not just the Freyalise. I loved last year where Morostide and Fireside items were rereleased through restocking.

I understand that it's great for people who weren't any good at restocking, but I do wish that restockers got some attention too.

We add plenty of items to restocking shops throughout the year already, including some lovely high rarity items like those space backdrops. :) Bringing back these holiday items in the various holiday shops (no holiday shop is never coming back, it's dead forever) doesn't really help get the items out because they are competing with all the other items that restock in the shop. Having them as a bonus chance via quests helps them get out, but we can adjust how often if need be because we can see a lot easier how many are going out.

I absolutely love the new items you've added! Especially the atebus ones you mentioned actually - they're beautiful and that's one of my favorite shops.

Having more control over the amount they are going out makes a lot of sense, so I see why you might want to give them via quests. Does that mean that there was an issue with too many/few items going out last year via restocking for Fireside/Morostide? I didn't notice anything, but that doesn't mean it wasn't an issue.

I like when the quest people do this. I have gotten quite a few food items to hoard away for achievements and some other goodies I needed. Plus it gives me a big excuse to do all the quests if I can.

I loved this a great deal! I was one of the lucky few to get a Baked Sweet Potato Beanbag during Fireside, and it did make me feel fantastic because I knew not many of them would be going out. It helped me reach one of my goals by selling it, and in turn, I helped someone else meet one of theirs.

This is a great way to get items out into circulation without grossly deflating them. There's still a few holiday items I'd like to have, and this way, I have an easier chance of either finding them or buying them off of someone who did find one.

Honestly, I quit playing Subeta a couple of years ago after the holiday shop was removed and the Subeautique was changed. I just randomly checked here today to see if the site was any different. I liked restocking, but it felt like every special thing for it was going away along with the advantages. It's just not as fun to wait for restocks at regular shops all the time, and I've always found quests to be boring and annoying.

I loved this! As a beanbag and plushie collector I almost had a small heart attack when I seen the baked sweet potato beanbag, yellow corn plushie, etc had been re-released! I would love it if things like this happened more often :D!

I love that they brought back some retired items! I think if they only release items that can't be found in anyone's shops, and maybe release a decent amount of them, then everyone wins. I would like it even more if they added a few retired items to the antique shop maybe only for a limited time so that I could get some of the beanbags I need.

Yes, I too was glad to see this change. I hated it when the holiday shop closed and all the holiday items moved to their respective shop type which meant you had to restock a lot of shops at once and I just could not be bothered. Also they were competing to restock with a large number of non-seasonal items which meant rare ones seemed even rarer. This method has been much appreciated.
