But man .. seriously. First Charlie, now this .. It makes me seriously sad and disgusted. My friends are safe, but I'm heartbroken for the families.

There's been hell all over the world tonight Bombings in =France, Lebanon and Iraq, as well as earthquakes in Mexico and Japan. What's going on with the world???

Sometimes I wonder if it really is the end of times.

I took a nap earlier and woke up to news on the Paris attack all over my Facebook feed.

Long Live France! Also, if anyone reads French, Sarkozy posted a response on his Facebook.

My thoughts are with the victims and the people of France. I hope the aftermath of this attack is peaceful towards the innocent Muslims in Paris who condemn the violence.

It's been a heartbreaking night.

One of my friends confirmed herself as safe but I haven't heard from my other friend yet. I'm going to hope for the best and just assume that I haven't heard from her because it is 5 am and she is safe sleeping

I don't think it's religion - it's politics. Retaliation. I don't believe they're looking for purity of religion really, but strict adherence to their invented laws. What they want is power. And that's politics.

Anyone seen the US TV series The 100? The Mountain People inject cannibalism-inducing drugs into people then let them loose around their mountain base to scare everyone else. I think Daesh uses a similar tactic: recruit insecure lone nutters to do scary stuff as a front. But the people behind it aren't lunatics; I'd say they're strategists who want control and power. Well that's my two cents anyway. ^^ EDIT: I'm talking about the situation here in France of course. Elsewhere, like Syria etc., it's a bit different.

Most of my own friends seem to be safe so far. I'm in the south so we're all safe.

If you pray, pray for wisdom for the government to know what to say and how to react. Pray also for all of us living here, that we may not turn to extremist opinions ourselves in reaction to current events, or fear and hate.

This is absolutely horrible. And it's now been reported that 127 are now dead and around 100 are critically injured. I just don't understand why people would do this!
