Maybe I'm just impatient, but am I the only one who feels like the bonding time with the minions is too long?

One night is generous, two nights... Would be what I'd think is appropriate, but I'm on my third night, going into the fourth on the same minion... And I kind of feel like that's pushing it. I'm missing out on other minions I want, because I don't want to lose the time I've already spent bonding with the one I started with the day they came out.

I know they'll probably come back into circulation sooner or later, but I think the times need to be drastically shortened. I mean heck, so far, it takes less time to get a PET than it does a single minion. They're cute... But not THAT cute.

Nah, I don't really mind it. Think of it as an actual animal shelter with rules: you can come and visit everyday and spend time with the animal you plan on adopting. It's a pretty reasonable concept.

You can always pay more and not wait.

I think it's reasonable. If you want one of the minions he doesn't sell right away, put in the very minor amount of effort into bonding. It's not like you have to do anything more challenging than pushing a button every 24 hours; it could be worse and it's way more interesting than regular restocking imo.

Just buying the less special ones immediately isn't so bad, either. 50k is, what? 2 or 3 games of Matlal's Jewels or a round of Wizard Quests? Bonding for that discount isn't mandatory.

I understand the concept, and it's cute - and one or two days I could get behind, but it's just kinda getting a bit ridiculous, I think.

Not for some of them. It just right-out won't let you buy or anything until they're totally bonded with you.

I really wish there were two options - 'buy immediately' or 'bond' - so that you could be bonding with a minion over time but still be able to purchase others directly during that process.

Specific minions require bonding before the 'purchase' option appears; there's no way to tell until you click the bond button to start the process. I'm working with this one now:

I'm sure within a few weeks someone will make a list of which minions require bonding and for how long.

The Xingyun was one of the first minions in the shop, and I'm still bonding with it days later. There's no purchase option and no price listed. I bond, it says something like "oh, it's still afraid of you," and then I set an alert and come back the next day. I have no idea how long this is going to go on for. :/

Interesting. I bought the Totara and I can buy the minion I'm bonding with right now if I want. I hope someone makes a list soon, then.

Oh, I have no problem purchasing the less valuable ones. sP isn't an issue. In fact, I'd be willing to pay double, or even triple for the more valuable minions, if it meant I could avoid the wait.

That is an idea I could get behind. I like that.

Adding in a higher price to skip the wait feels like it'd kinda ruin the whole purpose of the shop's bonding gimmick, and if you can pay to skip past it, why even bother having it? :C I get where you're coming from, but there are a lot of things you can buy/get with no wait times; having a few things in you have to slowly work towards is a nice change of pace.

Maybe if you really don't feel like spending a few days on one minion, you could ask someone else to bond with one for you while you buy up the ones you want and they could trade it to you when it's done? Or wait for them to start hitting the usershops (at likely inflated prices).

No matter what, it looks like at some point you're going to have to do some waiting.

As for me, I'm highly amused by the whole bonding thing. I could've totally bought the Lunar Rabbit on day one but I am choosing not to.

I am in favor of being able to buy those you don't have to bond with while bonding with one. Otherwise this is rather obnoxious and tedious.

Same for me, I'm also still bonding with the Xingyun. I like the idea, but having no clue on how long the bonding is going to take, and not being able to buy any of the others in the mean time, is rather disappointing.

I think it's a bit frustrating right now because everything is new and exciting, but I bet it'll seem better in time. I personally like it like it is. Nobody LIKES waiting for the things they want, but without it, this shop wouldn't be as special.

I don't mind the gimmick of bonding, but I have to say, going on, what, 5 days now with one? I get it, it needs time to fall in love with me, but I am collecting ALL the minions for a pet... so this is going to suck if I have to do this for a lot of them. It seems like it will only be a handful that require multiple days, which is good. And I love the idea of bonding for people who want cheaper prices or who only want a specific one. It just becomes tedious when you want ALL of the minions, and can only "bond" with one at a time, even if you could essentially buy the others right away by saying "Hi Minion" and it jumps at your face. The idea is cute... but execution is... meh. I just feel like I am missing out on other minions, but since I need them all anyway, I might as well keep bonding with this one. Also, is it just going to be two groups? The same days and the week longs? Or do some minions require two and some three?

That all said, these minions are freaking adorable and perfect. I really do love them all, and am excited to get them all for my pet. It's just the bonding time that drives me nuts. :C

makes a very good point about the shop. I really like the shop's concept in the whole bonding mechanic as it's something we do with our pets all the time especially when you get one on the first day. It's good if you're bonding with a minion but you're not interested in the ones on that day until you see one that you like on a particular day, you still get a discount and that minion you want at the same time. I admit the ones where you don't get the option to buy immediately is a bit tedious to wait yet I don't think it's too bad as the minions rotate everyday so they're not entirely gone forever at least.

I was honestly surprised that I didn't get to take my minion home last night. I started bonding with it the first day of release and it's still going. I thought for sure I'd get it last night.

I wish there was a way to make this a bit faster. Go get some food, grooming, or toy item to bring with you to encourage the minion to trust you.

My biggest issue with this concept is the fact that we're bonding with minions instead of our pets. We don't have minions, we have avatars that may or may not have companion type animals. Pets have minions, why the hell am I bonding with it so I can give it to my pet?

Doesn't make much sense, imo.

That said, I don't mind the wait... the length of the wait being unknown is a bit annoying but since there's only so many minions in stock I know this was probably just a ploy to make the amount last longer.

However, I would really really appreciate knowing at first glance which minions would require bonding, and which you could straight up buy. I'm the type of person to like to take out the easy stuff first and then focus on the hard, so I'd really like to just glance at the page and be able to make notes on which minions require bonding and which I can buy now and focus on the buy nows first.
