According to the the news comments on the news post here there was supposed to be a newsletter going out. Link to a specific screenie of explaining what was supposed to be in it. Admittedly, they did post on Twitter and Facebook like they said which is really great and a step forward, but I think it's kind of funny that the limited warning is supposed to be enough for us to decided what we want or sell our points to people who need them when it's not enough time for them to send out a newsletter.

Anyway, I posted this in feedback because I just wanted to say I'd be a little disappointed if the points disappeared and there was no newsletter warning anyone currently on hiatus. You promised a newsletter; I think it's only fair that you should leave the points until that gets sent out. I'm riddled with bitterness and pettiness today, I apologize [edit] It has been done!

Someone even found an unreleased item that was/is probably supposed to be the newsletter gift, and that was uploaded to the site just after the scavenger hunt started on the 24th. Who knows anymore. \o/

That said, I had heard that there was supposed to be a newsletter, and I never got one (or a news ping with the link), which is disappointing but it's been so long that it really doesn't bother me either tbh? Though I've been on the site so it's not like I really missed out on anything either

Tbh as someone who hates deciding what to use my points on, I don't understand why we don't have an Antique Currency where retired items go for retired things (RD, Omen, Plot, RS War etc.), rather than coverting to sP ceilings for items.

Because we needed more high-tier money sinks other than the MC

I'd like to see how much sP the Antique shop has actually sunk, given most items are on ss for lower cost than the store itself.

I think that'd be because there wouldn't be enough points to buy anything with. The limited amount of points on site for each event would make the issue the same as it is now - most of the site being unable to obtain items. If that was what you were trying to get at, converting, say, RD points to Antique points?

If you're moreso thinking of a trade system, then that would also be as unobtainable as it is now, not to mention take the already super hard to obtain items out of the system (and making them even more obsolete) just to get something else. It would also make it way more difficult to price things. It just doesn't make sense.

At any rate, the Antique Shop is the most fair way of letting anyone get items (although the prices are currently astronomical XS)

Newsletters need to have a set time they are released. Maybe like every 3 months? I know they aren't a major concern, but saying "oh we'll get a newsletter out on x date" then a month goes by and it still hasn't been sent out. It's a bit of a let down :(

The saddest part probably is that I don't even feel disappointed about it; it's Subeta after all.

Back on May 24th, when the shop was introduced, there was approximately 1.666 tril in the global market.

As of now, "There is a total of 1,787,460,504,806 sP".

But i don't think the shop was intended to be an sPs sink, that that was more of a side-effect. The goal was to get the old prize items back in circulation or at least be obtainable for those who weren't here.

Back to the newsletter debacle, yeah, I'm surprised we still haven't gotten one yet, even though it's been talked about. Maybe there's an issue with sending them out? stupidly optimistic as always

If the ping didn't go to everyone that's one more thing at Subeta's feet. Kind of piling up again lately, tbph. Would be less disappointing had the site not been treading in a better direction even fairly recently.

Edit: Oh, sorry, just noticed you posted the 29th not the 30th. I waited to see if the official news would get a post/the newsletter would finally show. I probably waited a little long but it was hard to judge with the newsletter being so seemingly promised/worried about/worked on, etc.
