So I just got another tattoo and realized that the thread I saw once upon a time for various body mods had died/deviated from the topic (RIP thread). SO! Here I am with a replacement to fill the void. XDD Body mods: Show 'em off. Talk about them. Plan. Share a story.
My Piercings

Today the tattoo I got is...
New Tattoo Pics

I don't have any concrete plans for future tattoos as I am currently in Happy Tattoo Land. I have a couple of other tattoos but they're not 'impressive' really. ;;>->
What about you? o-o
They/Them
No pics but I have a monroe and labret. I had an eyebrow, but when I went for my monroe I consulted on it and my piercer and I agreed to remove it and repierce. I need to do that still. Like that was two years ago, I'm overdue for some new metal.
I'd really like a nose ring, and to have my collar done, and an industrial. I was going to do bridge but I have migraines already and my nose will actually swell into my glasses sometimes so I realized that is a no. I really want the nose first, but I blow my nose so much that I'm worried about that. Healing was always superb for me but I'm one of those sneezey people and I worry about that.
Tattoos none, but plans for a bee/dandelion field piece.
I used to have my right ear pierced three times, and my left one pierced once. Those were all taken out because they would get infected all the time, and even now that they're taken out I still get white gunk in them. I used to have my tongue pierced, which we talked about earlier , but for anyone else reading this I took it out because I felt like it was unprofessional and I have missed it dearly ever since. i've always wanted to get my cheeks pierced, but i see a lot of bad rap on them due to infections and stuff. plus, with me working for the government... totally not professional
I have one tattoo behind my right ear, which is the Japanese symbol for love.

this is how it looks now. it's faded and I'm gonna go over it in black because people tell me it looks like a birth mark or blood. -_-
do not get tattoos in pink people because they're a disaster later on
There's other tattoos that I want. If I was skinny, I'd get a white tiger down my side but that's never gonna work with my fat rolls, haha. I also want something like this on my wrist, not only to show my faith but also to show my strength in getting through self-mutilation addiction.
I have two lobe piercings in each ear, a helix in my right ear, a bridge, and septum. There's also a tattoo of a hummingbird on my thigh.
As someone with glasses and migraines, you can try a bridge if you think it'd be worth the experience. I love mine, two years later. It doesn't interfere with my glasses, but I can't speak for how it'd work out if your bridge area was prone to swelling with your migraines. You can always discuss it with your piercer if you're interested.
The reason cheek piercings have such a bad rap is because even an experienced piercer can accidentally hit a salivary gland or other structure in the cheek, causing problems in healing. Plus it's a high motion area and requires downsizing jewelry multiple times. These are the two main reasons most piercers won't do them unless they are very experienced and have a prior relationship with the person wanting it done as most piercers refuse to perform it if the person has little experience with healing a piercing, or if they don't know that the person will come back to get it the jewelry downsized. Infections are usually the result of lack of care by the person who was pierced, but it's entirely possible for jewelry o get embedded in a cheek piercing at no fault to anyone. Cheeks are notorious for it.
I think your tattoo is lovely, although I see where it kinda could be confused for a really well structured rash if you're not paying attention. Maybe just get a black outline around it? It'd be less of a struggle to do, especially if you really like the color.
Really? That's good to hear. How was it for you compared with other piercings, pain wise? I know, everyone is different, but it's an odd zone. I assume it would be similar to the brow.
Hehe I usually would hesitate to post pics myself but since I was starting the thread I figured why the hell not XDD I had my nostril pierced (decided it wasn't working for me) and even though I have allergies it wasn't a problem. Just by keeping up with regular cleaning alternating with LITHA and it was a breeze. Just my two cents on that one :D Bee/dandelion field?
So THAT's what your tattoo ended up looking like! It's a shame that pink fades like that but thank you for the warning! Have you considered red? Also totally feel you on the "If I were skinny I'd get _____" thing. Ah well. My view is basically that I'll rock what I have, and get what tattoos I can work with XDD Congrats on your continued strength regarding self-mutilation. ^-^
Bridge and septum piercings as a set can look so cool 0-0 Sorry probably a better way to say it, but cool is just the word I can come up with right now. And humming bird? Man I love those little buggers. Not only cute, but with some serious attitude XDD
They/Themyeah, the cheek just isn't a good spot for a piercing i think. there's way too much that can go wrong. a lot of people do it and then just take it aout anyway, because it gives people that dimple look.
thank you. :) well, pink is my favorite color. i could have it touched up in pink and then outlined in black, but idk if it'd work. i wonder if the pink would just fade again and i'd have to have it touched up again in a few years.
i'm not much of a red girl. i suppose maybe i could get a different shade of pink? i dunno. thank you. :) i started in middle school as a means of getting through depression without realizing you can become addicted. i wanted to quit for years but couldn't. with the help of a good old friend of mine who is no longer a part of my life, i quit in 2010. ive only cut myself once since, so i'm happy i've recovered and it's something i'm very emotional about. i like to tell my story and show my strength and help others going through it.
I'm hoping to get my cheeks pierced next actually and I'm really excited about it. But I have natural dimples (really prominent) so there is very little chance of the piercer getting off the mark.
I didn't mention before when we were talking about tattoos but I also have my septum pierced, snakebites and my ears are stretched to 1" as well as a second piercing on my right lobe and both my trigs pierced. I am quite in love with them, the snakebites were my first facial piercing and that was a whole 6 years ago now.

having natural dimples definitely does make it easier. you should take a pic after you get it!
Cheek piercings are actually my favorite facial piercing! They just look so amazing =u= And with natural dimples? Even better 0w0 PoorInsaneSon... those are some awesome piercings o-o I would love to see your cheek piercings when they're done, but to show them properly you'd kind of have to show a lot of your face and I'm not sure how comfy you'd be with that. So instead, I'm going to ask a stupid question about the stretched lobes. Is is easier or harder to find jewelry you like for them now that they're stretched?
They/Themmuch easier! There is a lot of really nice, detailed jewelry that's simply impossible at smaller sizes! Right now though I'm wear some bamboo tunnels. They're virtually weightless it's so comfortable.
I'll post a picture once I do get it done, i'm hoping before this year is out. But body mods are just so damn exspensive

Every time I go to my piercing parlor I just wilt in envy at some of those jewelry pieces 0-0 I just wasn't sure how available they were. Bamboo tunnels? Those must be nifty :D I imagine some of the jewelry would be pretty heavy in comparison. Ah I know body mods make my wallet cry >n< BUT they make me smile so I tell my wallet to suck it up XDD That being said I'm kinda broke for now thanks to my tattoo and funding a friend's tiny tattoo too.
They/Them
Ah yes in fact at my size they completely stop making tapers because of the way the weight would stretch the ear. You either have to tape or gently ease it in haha. I like it best when my ears don't weigh so much.
and I know right! I just put $150 down for the tattoo deposit and I have to come up with another $130. I'm getting a nice discount because of the pub I work at

I can see why they'd weigh too much. I'm so weird about jewelry I lean towards light and simple for myself, but LOVE seeing the opposite in other people 0-0 Aw man. The deposits I've come across were $60, and this time (since I've seen her before) she just waived it and let me pay the whole fee after the tattoo. I tipped well for her courtesy, and overall awesomeness XD Yay for the discount for you man! That's awesome! Still ouchy for the wallet, but awesome :D lifts a glass Cheers to being broke without regret~!
They/ThemI actually wasn't required to put down a deposit at all but I knew if I didn't put it down i'd spend it ahahaha! I actually won the money playing keno at the VLTs at this pub down the street from my place. I never get that lucky it was so awesome

I was so excited! I didn't think I was going to be able to get this done until after christmas at least.

Nine piercings (three in each lobe, right cartilage, labret, tongue) and eight tattoos (right upper arm, two on inside of each wrist, one on left forearm, one on left inner leg, one on upper back). I plan on getting more ink, next one will be my Ozzy's paw print from when he was put down.
Too lazy to upload pics.
Piercings: I have a lobe piercing in each ear, I have the right side of my nose pierced and I recently got my right helix done. I'm not sure if I''m planning on future piercings, but right now I have the two I always wanted.
Tattoos: None.
Urrrrghh, that tattoo is so pretty! I saw a girl yesterday when I was out to lunch who had one on her shoulder that was absolutely beautiful...it was feathers and flowers and it looked similar in design to yours. I wish I had the balls to get one, lol. But I change my mind so often, I don't think I should do it.
I just have three piercings in each ear. I usually wear a silver hoop in the bottom one and silver balls in the top two.
