I'm sorry for your loss. That sounds like a wonderful memorial for Ozzy and a way to honor the memory. Have you decided on placement for it? Do you think it will blend well with your other tattoos or is it more likely to stand out awesomely?

It'll stand out. None of my tattoos really blend together. I have my son's nickname and the Chinese symbol for love underneath of it so I guess they blend... Unsure of placement. I want it visible to people though.

It says "Aurora, what is love known by? When it hurts to say goodbye." which is one of my favourite quotes and from the game Child of Light, which is just a lovely game.

My body modification is really neat. I have a magnet implanted in my finger! When I enter the vicinity of a magnetic field it will buzz lightly in my finger, so I can sense magnetic fields, literally giving me a 'sixth sense. I can also pick up magnetic items such as canadian coins and staples. It's called Magnetic Vision and I think it's so cool. It was HORRIBLY painful to get it, though.

Here's a picture of my finger after dragging it through the sand on a beach, which happened to be full of small metal pieces (my boyfriend has two in his fingers as well (he also has a microchip in his hand)):

This is what I currently have: Planning on getting a 3rd lobe piercing and an inner conch piercing next January. Then I'll have to decide if I want any more or if my ear will be perfect~

i plan to get lobe piercings by the end of the year, and i'm heavily considering a septum piercing because wow, they're cute as hell. i also have a lot of ideas for tattoos, including cat skulls, botanicals, and constellations. saving those for when i actually have money lol

honestly those magnet implants are the coolest and most intriguing modifications i've ever seen?? that is so cleverly practical, holy hell. did they use any anesthesia at all for the procedure?

It's really cool, even if I do keep accidentally waving my magnet over the magnetic sensors of my laptop which puts it straight into sleep mode...

I personally did have an anaesthetic but technically you're not supposed to haha. I have another friend who got hers done without the anaesthetic and she said it was horribly painful. The healing process was absolutely painful and I cried a few times when I accidentally knocked it, but it's been long healed for a whole year now and no regrets. I LOVE being able to sense magnetic fields and pick stuff up with it. A+ highly recommend.

I don't have any sort of body mods yet BUT I'm planning to get some soon, 3!! which would be the kanji in Itachi's, Deidara's and Sasori's Akatsuki rings, on their respective fingers.

I am seriously in love with your tattoo and you have by far the coolest body mod ever. magnet fingers? where the heck do I sign to get those.

Do you have any trouble sleeping on your side with the industrial? My helix piercings (originally pierced as an industrial but I had so many issues with the healing the higher piercing that I let them heal separately and now they don't line up anymore oops) still get mad at me if I do... They won't swell or anything but they just feel so damn sore.

wow yeah, there's actually no way i'd be able to withstand that process without anesthesia, bless your friend for still managing that!! i'm a huge weenie even when getting my fingers pricked, so really can't imagine how painful it'd be to have something actually implanted into it without being numbed first. although, i've heard some have had their magnet injected vs. cut open and placed, how was yours done? i could expect that an injection would hurt less, but pain aside, this is totally making me want to get a magnet in my finger for real

sometimes! if i sleep on a firm pillow, i'll usually wake up with super sore cartilage like you mentioned, esp on the bottom piercing. but since i usually tend to opt for a softer pillow, i usually don't have any issues with it, and i tend to switch positions throughout the night, anyway. but i can imagine that replacing the metal jewelry with bioplast/bioflex retainers before you go to bed would help, though! the material is a soft plastic, so i can bet that it wouldn't make the cartilage as sore if you slept on it.

that makes a lot of sense - I sleep on memory foam pillows. unfortunately I can't replace my jewelry by myself - the angle + my eyesight made it near impossible back when they were just circular barbells, and now I have CBRs, which are actually impossible lol. I ended up teaching myself to sleep on my other side, but of course sometimes I'll randomly end up turning around in my sleep. I might be switching to a custom bent barbell though. My current jewelry is pretty dainty and I want it to look more obnoxious.

I can post pics later... What I have as far as piercings currently, is a double tragus on my left ear, a daith heart on the right, and my lobes at 7/16. Most of my piercings have been retired due to work or healed when I was having surgery. My tattoos, in order of when I got them, a sunflower in the middle of my upper back, anchor and rose on my right ribs, paw prints on my left calf, a pink bow on each upper thigh, a small love pokeball on my left shoulder, and "Settle, precious;" on my right wrist.
