I am a relatively new user and not sure how often items are retired, but it seems Clothing Rack has an immense amount of stocking items (most old and unprofitable at the top), and it's a nightmare trying to rs the new beautiful items that was released. Please consider retiring some of the items in this shop, so the newer items have a better chance to rs than it is currently?

I wouldn't mind seeing stuff be retired. there's so much junk in most shops, I hate how huge the stock is.

You do know that the new items restock at the bottom right? Things are ordered by itemid :)

could you move this to S&I please?

Oops, didn't realize wrong place. D: Yup I do, but the shop is so full with old items on the top that people aren't buying the bottom items can't rs. :/

I'm all up for some Clothing Rack retirements. Would probably clear up some of the vending machines a bit in the process too.

the shop being full of junk doesn't really prevent newer items from restocking, I don't think the shops have a set limit of how many items can be there at once.

I'd like to see some retirements at the Clothing Rack. It definitely seems like a lot of old stuff is clogging it up.

It's been a while since we had a big retirement in the Clothing Rack, maybe it's time.

No support.

"clogging it up" is something that only happens when shops stock in a suckerploy pattern like it happens in Neopets. Old items do not fill up the total number of allowed spots and prevent other items from restocking here. Subeta NPC shops also do clear relatively often and then start over, and they do stock more when more players are playing.

Some shops are harder to restock from than others. Unlike foods, elixirs, books and toys which are consumed and need to be bought and used again, nobody needs another copy of a piece of HA clothing. They don't wear out and the Achievement count doesn't care if they're passe. I do a lot of restocking, and IMO retiring out the Clothing Rack will make it harder to restock there. This was true of the last round of retirements we had which were done for a different (and also irrelevant) reason. (to "increase value" during a time of systematic deflation, ha!)

Vending is no longer the force in the Subetan economy that it used to be. It's been pretty seriously nerfed. To the degree that it does still have affect, then whatever-afterretirement-items-you-get-instead will then be what all y'all are getting chunks of, and they will be the items that drop in value. It's the nature of any system that has capitalism (and while the economy here has switched to a more socialized model over the last few years, this is still true) that some items will always be less in demand than others in a way that doesn't reflect the cost of production or the means of production.

I'm for this IF they make way to frag or recycle (some) retired items. Why? Because plenty of items that retired from clothing rack and accessory bin years ago are STILL worthless. Not only that, but there's still a TON of them on site. Yeah, mass retirements clear up room in the shop they stock in, but it also will make those items even more worthless and infuriating to deal with. I know the problem with fragging/recycling retired items is that not all retired items are created equal. Obviously, no one wants to frag/recycle retire Subeautique. :P Maybe it doesn't have to be fragging or recycling... but I just want some way to get worthless retired items out of the system... and my shop, lol.

I'm for this, I have trouble even loading the shop sometimes. Same for Icy Goods, I think.

I'd love to see some retirements in the bigger shops. Subeta's got so many beautiful items restocking in the shops but often they're buried under a wall of ancient worthless junk.

IA that there needs to be a way to frag/quickly recycle junk retired items.

I don't think it should really matter if someone might frag something rare and expensive, though. Like, I could frag an Ashen Ram Rack right now and that costs a hell of a lot more than probably 99% of the Retired items on the site.

as much as i love to see smaller shop size, i don't really support retirement over here.

new items rs as frequent as old items as i see. they just stay at the bottom. they probably gone quick due to hot new items.

Retired items has limited place to go. our normal quests doesn't ask for them. can't frag or recycle. what to do with them?

the only benefit is it will be a bit easier to browse the shop. less lag and scrolling.
