Hi guys, for those who don't know, I am 's daughter. I just saw her today and she asked me to make a thread on letting everyone know what has happened and how she is doing to ease everyone's minds.

She had a hernia in the lining that separates her lungs and her stomach. Her stomach decided to squeeze its way through the hole, putting 3/4 of her stomach in her chest cavity beside her lungs and behind her heart. The doctor was hoping to do a small incision and just tug on her stomach so he could bring it back through the hole. But what he didn't know until he went in was that her stomach had attached itself to scar tissue around her lungs, making just tugging on it impossible. He had to cut at the scar tissue to free her stomach and even then I guess her stomach got a little tore up. With how much scar tissue there was, the doctor estimated that this has been going on for at least the passed two years. The procedure took place two days ago, and the incision is much much larger than hoped for. Her whole belly is wrapped up. :(

She is doing much better today. She is still tender and is looking at a decently long recovery. Just today was she able to wiggle herself off the bed without having excruciating stomach spasms. Yesterday she couldn't even move her head to look around without having pain. It could take at least a few weeks before she is ready to do sort of normal physical work. She is asking for quick healing and good wishes to be sent her way.

But she didn't want anyone to worry or not hear anything so she asked me to ping all of her friends on her profile. If you guys have any questions or want to send her good wishes, please post them here, I will be visiting her frequently in the hospital until she's ready to come and will send any messages you wish for her to hear with me. :)

Oh my, I had no idea this was going on with her!! I am glad for the ping, and I will be sending good wishes her way! Tell her I wish her a speedy recovery and that any problems she had associated with this are gone with her surgery/treatment.

How sad : ( My thoughts and prayers will be with her, and you Miss ,we only have one mom and wishes for a speedy recovery.Your mom had one thing going for her,a wonderful daughter like you : )

I don't really know who either of you are - I've never talked to you or your mom on here (or elsewhere I assume lol) but I clicked on the title just to see what it was and I thought I'd just leave some good wishes and + energy here for the both of you. I really do hope everything goes well and she continues to a good recovery. hugs to both of you

I don't know either of you but I hope she recovers quickly! It sounds like she's starting too so that's good. :)

Oh goodness, I'm glad to hear she's doing okay (well, relatively speaking- surgery recover always stinks). I was starting to worry about her! Tell her I send my loves and prayers :)

Sorry to hear she went through all of that, but glad she's on the mend. I'll remember her in my prayers and hopefully she will soon be back home and recovering in record time!

Oh My Goodness!!! I was wondering why I haven't seen her in a few days.. I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to her and I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers and hopes that she recovers very quickly. Give her my love, please, and tell her that I will be here to chat any time she is ready to.... Also give her a snuggle for me.. :D She's one of my fav friends... Blessings to her and to you as well. She's lucky to have you there for her.

Thank you guys for the good wishes. I read off the ones that were there at the time to her and she smiled away. It's lifted her knowing that her friends here have been thinking about her :) I'm going to see her tomorrow again and hopefully see more improvements. She's been texting me some off and on and she seems to be improving so I'm sure she will be back on shortly. She just said how much she wishes she could be on right now but doesn't have enough energy quite yet. She had the nurse keep her laptop locked up in the medicine drawer in her room lol so she has the access

I'm so happy that she's improving!!! She's a strong woman and Blessed. It sounds as though she will have this thing licked in no time. :D Tell her I said hello again and I'm thinking of her always. I'm good.. Now. I was very scared at first, especially when I heard the phrase "life threatening". But I am much more relieved now and less stressed. I can't wait for her to come home. It's so strange not having her here.
