She just had her first "meal" today of liquids! Good news is shes coming home in just a couple days!! Yay!

Thank you all so very much for the prayers, good thoughts and warm wishes sent via my daughter during my time in the hospital. It was 9 very long days... not only due to my surgery and condition, but I missed you all! <3 Some of you I speak with on a daily basis, so I didn't want you to worry when you hadn't heard from me. :)

But I'm home... got home last evening. And am resting comfortably. Yay. Hospital beds suck. lol I didn't sleep at all while I was there. But actually slept last night. My only obstacle now is keeping the pain under control and making sure I eat and drink enough. My appetite isn't very good. I'm on a full liquid diet... which isn't bad, but I'll be happy to be able to eat a little more. :) But maybe I'll lose some weight.. hehe

- Get well soon!! Hope solid foods can make an appearance soon too.

- Welcome home! So glad to hear you are out of the hospital, they certainly don't seem like the best place to be able to 'rest and recuperate', do they? 😕 Every time my mom was in the hospital and was trying to rest, the nurses would come around and wake her up for absolute stupidities...blood pressure test...ask if she wanted crackers...like, really. If the patient is asleep, how about LETTING them rest?! I don't know, maybe that is too revolutionary of an idea 😜

Anyway, now that you are home I'm sure your recuperation will go much quicker!

Glad you're home! Hope you feel better soon! And I agree - hospital beds are total crap, lol. Since sleep is healing, and medical staff know this, you'd think comfortable hospital beds would be a thing, but nope. XD

Thank you so much for the good wishes.. You are so right about not being able to rest much in the hospital. It wasn't because of the nurses though, I just couldn't get comfortable enough.. plus I was on a lot of meds... but I've been sleeping since I got home.. so thankful for that.

Me toooo! And yes, I'm looking forward to being able to eat real food again. Though, I am curious about how much weight I'll lose, if any... hehe ;)
