Camille looks down at the doll she's been given and makes a face. She's pretty sure it's staring at her.

Taking her wand out, she taps the doll and says, "pen-nas!"

The doll starts sprouting tiny wings and flaps gently in the air.

Breathing out a sigh of relief that it actually worked, Camille cleared her throat and explained, "I've given my doll a wing charm, where it temporarily grows wings and can fly for a short amount of time."

Megan pulls out the stuffed toy she carries with her usually, although she's not sure why, and sets it on her work space.

She leans on her arms to eye level trying to think what would this lil pin-cushion look good as. With a sudden inspiration she straightens her back and pulls out her wand. Swishing it in a half-circle and saying cupcakious! the cute little plushie turns into a cupcake!

Grinning broadly, Megan decides to send it to her newest friend, Rose.

Rox looks down at the plushie she's been given, unsure what she will do with it, she can't think of any spell to use on the plushie.

Around her she can see other students already putting spells on their items and she sees how they start to move or fly around the classroom.

She then suddenly came up with an idea for her own plushie and moved her wand in circles around the head of the plushie and by saying bobble-headious she then caused the plushie to change into a bobblehead.

Rox grinned at the sight of this bobblehead she created.

MG loves this assignment, she knows what to charm since she knows a certain someone who would love this as a gift! She grabs the class pet and charms it. "Livia-wearia" The item turns into; She can not wait to give this to her friend, she is more exited about the gift giving than how she did the charm without fail this time!

Amanda snatches a pretty book from the pile of stuff the professor had piled on a table. The book was She set it on her table in front of her and considered what charm she should attempt.

After thinking carefully about her strategy, she pulls our her wand and flicks it at the book and casts Colovaria, the color change spell. "Co-loh-VA-riah," she says confidently.

The book shines bright for a moment and changes to a new color. She looked down at her new book with an excited smile on her face.

Rose picked up one of the pearly molars and inspected it. It was indeed a real tooth. She set it back down with the others, thinking hard about what she ought to do to it. "Let's see..."

Taking a deep breath, Rose quietly incanted, "Engorgio dulcemreddo!" With a two confident swishes of her wand, the teeth began to swell. She quickly flicked her wand to end the inflation as the newly enlarged teeth began to float upwards.

Reigning them in with a few pieces of string, Rose began handing them out to her friends. "Oh, thank you, Megan!" she said earnestly, as Megan handed her a cupcake that had once been a pincushion. "Here, have a balloon!" She handed one of the candy-filled gifts to her friend.

"I think I'll take the other ones to the Hufflepuff Common Room," she mused to herself. Someone there might like one, after all.

Megan takes the balloon and smiles happily. "I've always loved balloons, thank you, Rose!" she exclaims.

Emma McMonigle - Hufflepuff

Emma stared down at the small ship in a bottle. She glanced up and around at what her classmates were doing, trying to get some idea of what on earth she could possibly do to this object...

She leaned in closer to look at the miniscule, yet quite detailed rigging on the little ship. She thought the sails looked rather sad and limp without any wind to catch.

That gave her an idea. She pulled out The Standard Book of Spells: Grade 1 out of her bag and turned pages... searching... searching...

There!

She read over the spell a couple of times before raising her wand. She pointed it carefully at the bottle and whispered, "Diffindo."

The dusty glass of the bottle cracked cleanly in half, revealing the pristine little ship sitting innocently on the desk.

"Exsufflo," she muttered under her breath, flicking her wand.

Almost immediately the canvas of the tiny sails puffed up, full on wind. The ship began to scoot across the desk top. Emma concentrated harder, and the ship glided like a swan on smooth lake. The girl allowed herself a delighted smile as she directed the little ship about the room.

Wiping the tiny little river of drool that had sprouted at the corner of her mouth (dear lord, that cotton candy looked amazing - Miss Kain was so lucky), Cardamom stared down at the box of lavender petals that had been passed along to her desk. Lavender? She couldn't make candy with that - no one liked soapy sweets! She pouted and grumbled as she pulled out her wand, trying to think of what on earth could be done.

Her hat sniffled curiously around her head, and that is when the lightbulb went off. Settling back and taking a deep breathe, she repeated, "Odorata Culcitae." The incantation rolled softly off her tongue, especially the second spell of the phrase. Her wand motion was slow, curling, giving off that "soft" idea again.

The lavender petals expanded and began to transform, connecting with each other midair and turning less silky at the touch, and more woolen. A plush rabbit settled onto the tabletop, a waft of lavender reaching her ears. This would make an excellent cuddling companion on a hard night.

She glanced over at her friend , who she knew had a lot of late nights over in the Ravenclaw common room. That's who she floated it over to, with a grin.

'I'm in the mood for something elegant today!' Wolf thought. Taking a look through the stores, she found a gorgeous gown (). 'Red is gorgeous, but I'm in the mood for a step up from gorgeous to stunning!' Thinking for a moment, she pauses to find just the right colour and snaps her fingers. 'Gold! Well, why not? We are red and gold after all.' Pointing her wand at the gown she says, "Colovaria!" Instantly the gown changes to a stunning gold ()! 'That wasn't so difficult. It looks much better, now, too!'

Fade eyed the assortment of trinkets thoughtfully for a moment. Considering all the color variations going on around him, he decided to try a shrinking spell instead. Selecting a moderately sized bird cage, Fade returned to his desk. Diligently he practiced the wand movements as illustrated in his text a few times, before gathering the courage to pronounce the charm. “Diminu-endo.” The cage immediately began to shake and rattle vigorously causing Fade to break out into a cold sweat. Gritting his teeth he anticipated the charm to backfire spectacularly. A great wave of relief washed over him and he let out his held breath as the cage finally began to finally shrink.

Professor Norman drops a bag of confetti in front of Elune. She holds it in her hand and observes the metallic blue stars shine against the lit-windows. She removes them from the satchel and spreads them across the table. There is nothing exceptional or magical about these stars, she notes, but she appreciates the simplicity of them. Elune catches a wafting scent of lavender from the Gryffindor tables, then glances about, wondering how her peers are fairing. She spots charming some chicken soup and giggles to herself over such cleverness.

Elune, then, concentrates on her own work. She mutters a few failed spells, attempting to effectively arrange the stars in mid-air. But she finds that there is very little for them to bond to. She conjures some hydrogen, then mutters "Epoximise" to condense her work into an orb. "Lumos Solem," she whispers, and a gentle light radiates through the orb. She casts "Wingardium Leviosa," causing the orb to float toward the ceiling, where it projects stars across the room.

Elune casts a newly-acquired cleaning charm over her area, then peers up from her charms work to spot a lavender bunny floating toward her desk. She finds Cardamon several tables over, giving her a reassuring smile. Elune excitedly waves back, then hugs the bunny to her chest, catching the soothing scent of lavender. She sets it back on the edge of her table and smiles at it from time to time. ( Thank you so much. ^_^ That was super sweet of you; it made my day! )

Elrith is unsure what to transform. Looking around her she sees all of the wonderful creations her classmates are conjuring. Feeling a little flustered she reaches into her bag and pulls out her notebook. As she lifts the book to the desk something flutters out from the pages, and lands square in front of her.

Noticing the little wings, Elrith decided this little sticker would make a friendly little companion.

She lifts her wand and, in a near whisper, says "Stickerus Locomotor"

There is a small puff of smoke, and some sparkles twinkle in the air. When these clear, Elrith sees a small, smiling face beaming up at her.

The little rainbow hovers in the air, twinkling slightly in the light. Everyone who sees it can't help but smile, and the little rainbow knows that it's goal is to bring smiles where there is sadness, and joy where it is lacking.

House - Gryffindor
