Is it possible to be done? Since I'm not a forum person, I'd like to get an extra chance with forum points, and I don't see why it's not likely (unless it's not possible to code).

Or at least an increase in the forum point rate, it seems it's 5-7% or a little bit less right now.

Yeeah. I like to think I post quite a bit and I probably get around 1 point per 10 posts? That's kinda dismal when you consider how many points most things cost.

9 points x 10 posts = about 90 posts for one item, if I'm lucky (using the newest book as a cost example).

Idk, I don't really think everyone should be able to get everything right away, it ruins the value of the items. I wouldn't be against getting points in news comments though. I do think staff posts there should go in admin posts because a lot of important stuff gets posted there that is often overlooked.

Probably around 1/4 of my posts are on news posts, so this would be good for me. I'm willing to bet that it's not possible without another rewrite though. :/

Ah, that's interesting. To be honest, I would be rich if there were points in the comments. But then I don't know if that'd be doable because people like me tend to spam a lot in the comments because I always forget something I've got to say and I can't edit my post so I send multiple comments and it would be difficult for staff to control the spamming, right ? Because it'd be too easy to send multiple comments just for getting points. Or there should be an option to be able to edit your post then, I don't know ?

I wouldn't mind seeing this. The whole point of forum points were to encourage posting no?

I've been hoping for this to be added for ages; I don't post all that much more in the news than on the forums, but with the drop rate for points being so low I say include it. (Seriously, I've gotten about one point since Vesnali and I post pretty regularly. C'mon.)

Just as long as people don't spam news comments trying to get the points I'd be fine with this. :D

is the increase going to be temporary? the chances aren't that bad honestly. 10% is a huge step up from what they used to be, increasing it by anything more than a few percent will just lead to worthless raffle tickets

okay I wasn't sure :p there could be like a period of a double chance to get points when new items are released, then that goes away until the next new item batch? just woke up from a nap so my phrasing of things is off.

tbh at least for me the chances of getting the points is super low and I've been making a lot of forum posts lately, yet I've only been able to afford ONE item out of the forum shop...and that was with someone helping me. I think I have 7 accumulated right now in the past month which is awful when I'm trying to get a couple of the items for my wardrobe.

Considering how many forum points you have, you can well enough argue for the rate not to be increased much ;)

I'm all for a slight increase myself, although I tend to get them fairly regularly. There's not much I'm crazy about in the shop (now that I bought the cutie starfish in his adorable little hat awww) but I do need the stickers, foods, etc. eventually.

well yeah, I have limited interests and I post a lot, so I gain more points than I use.

but when it comes to things like this, many many users think they should be able to buy everything they want without having to buy things with sP. These items are not retiring, so people who don't post as often can slowly work their way to them. Items are often released without any regard to their value. I'd rather the site have some items with value than to just release a bunch of things that'll be worthless in a few days.

Too bad this suggestions didn't make it, I'd have liked it!

An increase of Forum Points on the forums is nice, too however I hope that'll help. needs so many forum shop items
