I have submitted 2 tickets and was told to post here. This is my second post and there has not been any change. My first post was weeks ago. The weekend quests are getting horrible. They are actually worse then the weekday quests. And they are getting worse. Weekend quests are supposed to give out more sp and more expensive items and they do not. Please fix this.

Nah, weekend quests are fine.

Regular quests should really get nerfed in how much SP they produce. Especially Wizard. Wizard's only reward should be tokens.

I'd also be okay with Quentin giving no SP if it meant raising the number of amulets up, and Library giving no SP if we had a 24/7 chance of getting retired books.

It's not all weekend quests, but the library is pretty bad at being the weekend quest. Today I got to do 5 library quests that seemed affordable, the rest were asking for books that were way too inflated to even attempt. Of the 5 I got to do, I lost profit on 4 of them anyway. Oh well I guess.

I'm pretty certain the Library problem is from the restocking fiasco.

I think Weekend Quests are fine.

I don't support this Suggestion. WSQs are working correctly, they are working as intended and they're fun.

They really don't seem much better than normal quests except wizard...

Cynthia, Library and Cursed are the three worst offenders that I can think of. Pete's iffy along with Quentin and the rest. The best ones are Saggi and Wiz. I remember back in the day when even SubQ and other rarities were given out. I don't see that myself anymore, either. Not consistently, but they were given out from time to time.

I do think that the prizes should be reevaluated

I think they're fine...well except for maybe Cinthia and Library...

I just think new special weekend-quest-specific prizes should be released.

I have made a lot of sP off of WQs. I don't see why there needs to be a change.

or wait. lets just kill the sp and prize rates of regular quests.

then the WSQ will obviously be better than regular quests.

I think they're fine the way they are. I do miss the days when WQ meant lots of extra SP and amazing items, but we do get occasional amazing items during WQ.

I have never understood the hate for the library quest. He gives AH-MAH-ZING items that are far more valuable than any other quest giver, plus he gives out freakin' retired and event books for WQ. Is it because he's not an sP fountain? I actually enjoy that.

That said, the restocking craziness this past month and being WQ multiple times in a row can definitely bork WQ values to where they're not profitable (and I blame the restocking stuff for a lot of the whacked out values at the moment) but I don't think the solution is revamping WQ's.

I do like the idea of special weekend quest specific items for all quest givers. Cinthia and the Library both do this, I'd like to see it across the rest of them as well.

I...think they're fine? I think normal quests need to be fixed so we aren't already forking out too much for Library quests, but Quentin has always been a fantastic WQ, I'm not sure why people bash on them. Chance of SubQ, super rares...

Cinthia, Pete, and Mori/Nori don't really give much of a difference I agree. But I don't want normal quests nerfed. Normal quests getting nerfed would just be one more way for newer users to never get the chance to earn sP on here.

But the thing is I have done this a few times. I actually counted up the items that I bought sp wise and I got junk. Nothing worth anything.

What's your metric for "worth anything"? For that matter, what's your metric for "nothing"?

Because I have a hard time imagining that every single WQ, multiple times, gave you no sP at all and items worth 200 sP or less.

Or is it that more was spent on the items than was received, overall? That's possible, and is one reason why it's smart to set a personal spending limit and decline a few quests if they're pricey, although I'm kind of assuming this is just looking at flat sP and isn't taking in the values of the items at all.

Those retired and rare books are worth a chunk. Especially if you hoard and wait a couple of weeks.

Quests are intended to be a gamble. Even the Weekend Quests. You're not supposed to make a profit or even break even after each quest. Use your own judgment.

It's impossible to police this and implement what you're asking for without ruining the economy because users are free to price things however they want in their own shops.

I was trying to find a quote from staff about this but the best I got were the explanations from this thread - [topic not found]

Okay, let me put this in some context, with the following statements:

  1. I do not ever intentionally sell anything under 1k in my shop, and usually will opt to frag things under 5k rather than sell.
  2. I do Wizard quests most regularly, hitting 5 days a week, and my other quests are intermittent.
  3. Aside from 10 plays a day of Caliph's Tomb, in which my goal is 100k, I do not actively endeavor to otherwise make sP, because I have no actual goals here.

That said, even when I don't get any obviously valuable items from quests, I generally make a 1.5-2m potential profit per day (I say "potential" based on the values of items gained, because obviously they don't always sell right away). Weekends, I can sometimes increase that up to an additional million. You're seriously telling me that a potential for an additional million sP if I quest intelligently and with due diligence is "nothing"?

ALL QUESTS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SUCK. All of them. Weekend quests are simply a double edged sword, because users know they can price normal quest items higher in their shops for high demand quests, and other users will still likely pay it.

IF YOU STOP PUTTING SO MUCH MONEY INTO WASTEFUL QUESTS, YOU WILL STOP WASTING SO MUCH MONEY ON QUESTS. Discretion is on your shoulders, not the staff or the site's to make sure that you're getting enough sP or items.

This attitude is exactly why I stand with in nerfing normal quests - that way you'll get your way that WSQ will be "worth more" and we can all move past this together.

Just killing the SP rate on these is enough, imo

You were probably being sarcastic, but it would actually be the easiest way to make weekend quests worthwhile
