I rarely do Quentin's quests for the very reason that what he asks for way over-exceeds the payout. So often it's 20k+ he asks for (usually holiday plus another item and more often than not the holiday items are super expensive) and the payouts are below that. You're almost throwing money away on these quests if you try doing them. Once in a while you get an amulet, sure, but the amount of amulets you receive don't equate to the amount of money spent on quests if you do attempt to do most of them.

The same holds true for Cynthia. She asks for costly items but rarely gives out anything worthwhile sP-wise. She's another quest that you technically throw your money away on.

I do think that these quests need a re-revamp just because it seems pointless to give out more than you receive on them.

Forreal though, if you aren't selling your amulets and you're one of the unlucky ones that hardly gets tomes, you're literally just throwing away money. I'd at least like to see Quentin give different items. If they'd stop giving old Graveyard Shop junk, Gollum can stop asking for it, and we can all be happy.

I never do Cinthia's quests because her payout is trash. I do Quentin's quests because the amulets and the occasional rare book. But honestly, I would love for Quentin to stop asking for holiday/game items. The majority of the things they ask for are getting pretty damn expensive, especially considering those items rarely go back into circulation anymore.

I think the recent Quentin increases were nice, but I could understand that it was a step too far. It seems to me that a balance between "so few it's not worth it" and "too many!" needs to be found?

Whaaa? It's almost like we're playing two different games here. While it may be fun to change these quests for the lulz, this is low priority IMO>

I get at least two amulets from Quentin for every fifteen quests, sometimes as many as four. At their current Shop Search price, if one only got amulets and no other prize, and only got ever two amulets and no more than that that's worth 24KsP per quest. Anything else you get is pure profit.

Speaking as someone who hoards Holiday items because I like them a lot and who did so for many years long before Quentin ever asked for them, the reason they are the price they are? It's because Quentin asks for them. You can tell old special and or holiday shop retired items in my shop because they're priced at 18K which was outrageously high at the time. They are often cheaper than that in other people's shops. Whenever or change the rarity on these items so that Quentin asks for them? I make a killing.

I prefer to believe my customers are not stupid and are self-interested. Why would they buy this stuff if it's not doing them any good?

Cinthia's awards are not great but for me they're pretty consistent. Each quest earns me 5KsP plus a prize that can at least be fragged. Not every quest grantor has to ask for items that are hard for new players to afford.

Quentin asked me for a reading drive item the other day and it was 38 points and there weren't any in user shops. :( I didn't have any points so I had to quit the quest.

i always lose out on quentin, i didn't even take the time to do them until the quests were broken and i was getting an amulet every 3 quests. i did 15 of her quests today, didn't get an amulet, and lost out on sP. most of the prizes she gives out are underpriced, too, and i still lose out, even if i sell them in my shop. cynthia isn't that bad, since quentin asks for items that are like 40-50k, but i still don't even take the time to do her quests either unless i'm really bored.

Not all quests are designed to vomit SP, and they SHOULDN'T BE VOMITING SP. I'm reading people upset that they can't make 2.5M+ per day with quests alone, and seeing how much SP goes out via quests, I start to understand why inflation is that friggin creepy.

Quentin took about 200k from me today. But I don't really have an issue with that because I do their quests for the amulets (of which I got two, which is nice), not the sP. There are many more quests to do and I more than make up for the lost sP thanks to them. I make 2mil+ every day from quests so I really can't complain much about the payouts at all. I'm pretty happy with that, tbh, and I'm even happier now that staff have scaled back the rate at which amulets are given out, since they were deflating so much when they were at 5 per 15.

Butttt I do kind of agree that maybe Cinthia needs a look? She's asked me for Standard of the Lion, a RD item that isn't even anywhere to be found on SS, three times in the last two weeks. Are NPCs allowed to ask for RD items?? It's really only ever that one that she asks for, too...

Cinthia asks for items of a certain rarity, under a certain price. This item has a glitched official price of 100 SP, meaning that yeah, Cinthia will ask for it.

quinten and cynthia both asked for that tiger rd plushie yesterday, the fault lies with the broken hover prices program which has been showing 100 sp as its price for weeks (also why we have so many swashys floating around). Apart from that you are not guarenteed 100% profits for every quest, sometimes you take a loss and sometimes you barely make even. Just becoz we are all cozy with most quests being lucrative doesnt me that all quests have to follow suit! If you think a quest is pricy dont do it, if you think cynthia is worthless why do you do her quests in the first place? Its not for a lack of sp, no one is forcing you to do it.

the first sentence was for you, the rest was general. Sp wise quentin is too erratic but i do those quests (including the 50k ones) for amulets, so i dont pay much attention to the sp payout.

I don't do Cinthia quests very often, but I usually make a profit off of her? It's not a HUGE profit, but it's still a profit. Besides, I also get quest points from her, which is good.

The main issue that /I/ have with quests is the requirements for being able to do Saggi/Sarah quests. On my first day on this site I made too much sP to be able to do Sarah quests anymore. If ANYTHING needs to be fixed with quests, I think that's a biggie.
