I think Quentin's just fine as they are. As long as they're giving out a couple of amulets each day, they're worth doing for that alone. The quests might not always make a profit (they usually don't), but the amulets do. :)

I wouldn't want to see sP removed from their quests entirely, because even if I don't profit from each quest, any sP payback takes the sting out of gambling on them. I'd probably not bother doing those quests if sP was taken out. I don't think it needs adjusting though.

Cinthia's not that bad. The one thing that pisses me off with her is that within the last week she has been asking for Reading Drive items. She's asked me for three Reading Drive items in the last week or so, and two of those times she asked for , a minion which I couldn't even buy in user shops. I've quit plenty of her quests for not being worth it, but at least those items were actually buyable!

On a similar note, Cursed Quests asking for Subeautique items? Seriously? I don't expect to be able to finish every quest, but this is ridiculous. They ask for plenty of items that aren't worth buying for them without having SubQ in the mix. I don't think I've even seen Saggi ask for those, and he wouldn't be worth it either. Who honestly buys SubQ items for quests?!

And Pete is asking for 800k+ items.. few times it happened to me that I bought them by accident and lost all the profit of the day..

At least in 10-15 quests, Mori/Nori is only asking for SubQ once/twice. I had TWO of my five BB quests ask for SubQ the other day. I was not amused :| :| :|

As for Cinthia, the items she asks for aren't expensive - at least for me - most of the time ......but the payout sucks

The thing is that there needs to be a drain for holiday items.

However, i wish Quentin stopped asking for items that can be bought via other currency (eg steamworks, vesnali, RD, etc)

If possible can Quentin's request algorithm have some sort of bias to ask for cheaper items? eg, it asks for items under X amount of value more often than not.

If possible can Recycle beast do that too? because it seems pointless for RB to ask for items worth 10k or more.

I mean, if RB ca screen prices via the autoprice algorithm it can clear up items with no value.

For example, 11:50 - internally autoprice 500 items then at 12:00 - populate RB with the cheapest 20 items.

I'm actually okay with how they're set up now, although I wouldn't mind someone giving Quentin's random generator a kick. It does seem to ask for the same things pretty frequently.

But now that it appears Quentin isn't giving out as many amulets, I'll probably decline more often (and I suspect others will too). I bet those prices will drop a bit once demand decreases.

Asking for RD, other plot/event prizes for quest items isn't right, though. You could NEVER get enough prizes from a NPC quest to make up the cost of the item given.

And, yes, Gravedigger and beanbags/plushies need to have an outlet.

I have to admit, I don't recall Quentin asking for much of me lately that was unreasonable, and but for the two quests I chose to do today that were each over 50k, I would have made a profit in pure sP. I started with 13,966,790 on hand and I finished with 13,966,202 on hand, plus two amulets today (one alone would make these totally worth questing) and several items that still resell for well over 5k apiece. However, today was remarkable in that 50k quests were the highest, and only came up twice; normally I get items from shops with alternate currencies, often that I do not have to blow on just a silly quest.

Cinthia has me spooked. She doesn't usually come out either highly profitable or highly wasteful, but that girl LOVES her some reading drive items! I definitely agree THAT should be changed. No way I'm giving up my Standard of the Lion, whether or not I've had use of it in the past, um...ever.

I agree with the holiday items needing a place to get dumped, but a lot of these items, now, are becoming more and more expensive. So many of them are priced at more than what Quentin gives out. Maybe he should ask for items he gives out himself or items from Gravedigger or cheap game prizes...

As for Cynthia, she's a child but keeps asking for the most ridiculous things! She's supposed to be a TOY quest but usually asks for anything but, and the items are super expensive. It's not right.

Personally I think they are both fine as they are. Not all quests have to land you 100's of thousands of sP. Usually I get around 100k from Cinthia and she sometimes gives nice elixirs/books and Quentin the whole point is amulets really? Here is my stats today from Quentin and Cinthia

Quentin Starting sP: 407,043 Ending sP: 287,511 Profit: -119,532 3 QP 2 Amulets

Price of amulets at time of posting - Life Mage Amulet 285000 Dark Mage Amulet 290000 = 575000-119532

Overall profit = 455,468 Seems decent to me? Except for the fact that I turned in both mage and both shards :p

Quentin already does this, although not as often as I'd like.

I'd maybe like to see more items reclassified as 'holiday items'. There's a bunch of Freyalise stuff that's really cheap due to opening up how they were given out in the last year, but it just sits around since it's all just classed as "retired" outside of Keel Hauliday. One of the best things about FTC was how well the items held value, so I'd like to see the prices of some items pick up again before September rolls around. Maybe also let Melody's Cottage prizes or Free Gifts be asked for?

Every Quentin Quest, im sure everyone recognizes the 2-3 shops with 500+ of X item.

the same thing will happen to melody items or free gifts if they're included. Ornaments sat at 1-10k for a month, then it immediately shot up to 40-50k.

You mean Gollum? Is it weird that GOLLUM asks you for items and possessed things every day? Because I think it's completely normal that GOLLUM does these things.

I'm pretty sure she used to ask for toys and games way back when she wasn't Gollum though.

Wiz needs some updating too. He asks for anything and everything random. It'd be nice if he asked a lot more for items from Spells Galore (which would make sense as he's a wizard) and maybe some items from the other shop in Sacred Lands. However, asking for clothing and food and books and toys and stuff and stuff and stuff and stuff that isn't remotely magical-related just feels odd.

Allard is a (pixel) person before being a wizard, that he asks for non-magic items so what? Personally i am more concerned that he stopped asking for underwear.

he said that the items are used for "wizard business". It only makes sense that all items he asks for have to do with magic, except for maybe a slight few. Spells Galore fits the bill. It has all the items you would need for magic making.

All quests should ask for the same five books that library quests ask for. Oh wait...
