Can we?
And how, after over half a decade, the four square boxes still aren't aligned? (link) The bottom row (news feed + pet spotlight) are several pixels off from the top row (pic + stats). You have to be nearly blind not to notice, though I admit I have mostly stopped looking.
I know this has been pointed out years ago, but nothing has yet to happen.
I don't even care what excuse there is for this blooper to still exist. Could someone on staff maybe spend 4 minutes and fix it? I mean, that page obviously isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's been this way the entire time I've been on Subeta.
Another thing about the login page is that the "Join for Free!" button is pretty small.
I was telling one of my friends about the site and she wanted to join and it took us a minute to find where the button was to join. Perhaps we were just blind, but at the same time it might make it easier for people to join if the button was bigger.

Thank you!
Also, I don't think we should see frozen users on the Human Avatar Spotlight on the log in page.
It would be nice to see it get revamped, it is definitely overdue!
The login page confuses the hell out of me. So small and brown.
As for content, the Join Now box really needs to be updated? The glade popoko is the best example of the site's art? Those two (nice, but old as heck) HAs hardly illustrate the art quality.
I agree with and about how it looks different from the rest of the site and that's a bit weird.
I think the biggest issue of that page is that the join for free button is so tiny and on such a weird place.
When you visit a page like that your eyes should be pulled straight to a call to action. In subeta's case there are two call to actions
So the page should be in line with the rest of the style of the site, there should be a more clear call to action towards the register. And not aligned boxes is just unacceptable on the page that has to draw in all your future members and that should convince them to go through the process of registering and the newbie tutorial, that page is where it starts.
I think it's extra important right now where hundreds of neopets players are looking for their new forever home and they have a pick between several sites in this genre, that's the page that should say: and this is why you will pick US. This is why we are the best, join us because we are amazing and totally worth trying out.
end of ramble

I wasn't going to comment here, but I was just logged out and had to reset my password (because I'm dumb), and the whole reset process is fun.
The highlights:

level3

Yeah I gotta admit I was pretty baffled by that page when I signed up. Like, once I had an account and the site layout was completely different I was like wtf. And I made an account by clicking the 'Why hesitate? Register now!' square. I didn't even notice the little join for free button heh.
level3 is hilarious. Also the blue building woman's art appears to be the pre-revamp overlapping boob art. I only remember that because the thread about her boobs seemed a little out of proportion to the problem itself, but her current art in the blue building is different.
I agree with : at the very least the four boxes should be aligned. It is embarrassing it's been left the way it is for so long, especially when it shouldn't be that hard to fix.
I second 's idea that the two HAs could probably be swapped out with newer ones. The two that are featured are not bad by any means, but there have been so many high quality wearables released since that graphic was made that it doesn't really reflect the type of items most users make HAs anymore (for example: wigs are now a lot more popular than the salon).
I personally like the glade popoko on the front page because the art is very colorful and cute, but it may be more fitting to have a kumos there instead considering they're the site mascot (I think...?) and they are the most popular pet on site. The kumos is also a little more neutral (less cutesy), so it may appeal to more potential players.
No questions asked, the Blue Building NPC should definitely be swapped out so that at least her current art is used (without the overlapping on her chest).
Annnnnnnd I also agree with everyone who has mentioned that it's strange to have a greeting page that's so drastically different from the rest of the site. But other than completely doing a complete overhaul of the page (which seems unlikely), I don't have any specific ideas on how to fix that.
I always wondered why the login page color scheme matched mobile mode rather than being the same as desktop/pc version.
The boxes being misaligned kills me. I'm glad I leave myself logged in, so I don't have to look at it.
I do remember being put off by that page when I first arrived here and then making my account and being like "oh, this is actually a lot nicer". So changing it to match the actual site may be a good idea.

</p>I think this just made my day. What is the mysterious level3? Level 3/5 understanding of subeta glitches to proceed?
I love it and vote that bit doesn't get fixed.
I never liked the Login page however I think that at the moment staff should focus on more important things to fix than that.
While I agree that Subeta has other issues to deal with, I don't think that fixing the login page should be tossed aside without a second glance.
The login page is the first page any prospective new user is going to see. It's basically a first impression for them. If they can choose between us and any other site, it's important we show the quality of art on Subeta, what can be done, etc.
Inconsistencies between the login page and the rest of Subeta are going to turn away potential new players. Change the login page to reflect the rest of Subeta, and you present a much better picture to those potentially interested in playing on the site.
I think it's something that should be addressed at some point in the future, but it isn't something that needs to be fixed ASAP.

At least a few details brought up on this thread can be fixed pretty quickly (though I'm kinda of the mind to keep level3 around for laughs). Though I agree there's plenty more that needs to be worked on with much more care and detail.
