I haven't been able to complete a lot of Quentin quests lately, because they asks for things like ornaments, a lot. With most ornaments at 40k base line, i end up skipping most of their quests now, simply because i know by spending that much, i'm gonnalose more money than i get. Is this intentional? Or can we chill a bit more on them asking for ornaments?

From what I learned in another thread, there's a user trying to corner the ornaments market, so their monopoly is driving the price of those up, and since Quentin asks for them a lot (since there are quite a few ornaments), the quests are kind of messed up.

Well that's just terrible! (ps i'd love if you bite me just fyi, i'm going for blistered hearts but there's an issue with people taking off their skin and getting reset and not being able to bite)

yeah the ornaments guy is also buying up a lot of other quentin items. it sucks but there really isnt much to be done.

Considering ornament boxes are around 40k-50k, and that most ornament sell for over 40k, people should buy the cheap ornament boxes on shop search and open them to get more ornaments on the market :)

That's what I just did and I got like 5 ornaments worth under 25K from like 40 boxes.

There's also increased demand for Quentin quests lately after the Battledome got revamped, because Quentin gives out Mage Amulets and a lot of folks who haven't been Battle Questing are now doing so.

A lot of other items Quentin asks for are around 40-50 k as well, I kind of attributed the rise in prices to the Battledome situation.

That said, I do notice that every once in a while Quentin, and Cinthia as well, ask for some ludicrously expensive item like which BOTH of them asked for this week. I kind of wish they'd go back to not asking for absurdly expensive items like that.

Recycle Beast also asked for that plushie this week

Then again, has quentin been asking for a lot of ornaments recently? He might be - I wonder if the random generator needs a kick. Surely there's got to be some Morostide items out there that need some turning in.

I feel like Quentin asking for ornaments is no different than them asking for pumpkins. They're both in the same price range.

Honestly, there are too many ornaments on this site because people buy boxes and boxes and boxes of them, so this is really the only way to get rid of them other than delete them.

Idk, I mean, I bought probably over 500 boxes this past Lumi, so I can rely on my hoard for these kinds of quests, but I can see the frustration for people that can't.

Though I'm pretty sure they try to keep items that Q asks for under 50K... so it still fits into that. shrug

I think the problem is that some user(s?) have been inflating ornaments specifically :P which is crappy, but what can we do.

I hope staff takes a look at price ranges for Quentin and RB!

I'm pretty sure that Quentin one only asks for stuff under 50k. Considering the chance for an amulet and the sP is generally pretty close to what I spend.

Quentin asks for holiday items. Holiday items get expensive when it's not that holiday anymore. People know this and stock up on the holiday items to profit. This is normal and slightly unfortunate to the rest of us, but it isn't unheard of.

Mayybbe the ornaments specifically bit should stop, Quentin's quests do need to be looked at and it'd suck to see this board locked for targeting since I doubt there's a cluster of users hoarding stuff.

Anyways, regardless of what specific items are being inflated by whatever means I've always found it really hard to do Quentin's quests without loosing money-- even when the holiday stuff was 10-20k I still lost more than I profited. I know "you shouldn't be able to do every quest" and all that but frankly people will continue to lose sP because of the amulets which understandably overtime has caused prices og holiday itemd to inflate (regardless of reason).

I feel like a good idea (at least for the time being) would be to change what Quentin asks for, the best solution to favor users and reprimand anyone who may be trying to tip the economy. Since minions come from the local vending machine, perhaps they could start asking for those pooor hyper-deflated items? Perhaps they want to start an army too, yeh?

I personally am not really interested in more quests asking for restockables.

IF we stop having quests asking for holiday items, we will go back to having mounds of useless items we cannot frag,

Besides, pretty much all quests except for Quentin are asking for restockables. Variety is good. Variety is love.
