ORNAMENTS ARE NOT RETIRED. TELL THAT TO THE 500+ BOXES I BOUGHT FROM MELODY.
WHAT IF DARKHEART PHANTOM NEVER RETURNS HER?
WELL YOU COULD OPEN THESE BOXES AND SELL THE ORNAMENTS AND GET MILLIONS OF SP TOO.
i opened like 1M worth of boxes last night and made 1.4M from reselling ornaments seriously I'm already in the green, do this
But... I want... points... 1.4mil is not going to buy me 15k crystals... or 50K RB points...
POINTS, MAN. POINTS. I GOT sP. I NEED POINTS.
I do every quentins quest everyday practically. I could probably count on one hand the number of quests I've had to skip because they surely weren't worth it. Now if you're afraid to ever lose money on a quest, most quests don't guarantee profit, but it's highly likely individually and also overall that they will. Very highly likely.
I just kind of assumed that they were expensive on purpose since they didn't want a surplus of mage amulets/tomes being handed out.
I don't really have a problem with holiday items being a little pricey but it does suck that that so few of his quests can be completed without someone being okay with losing a lot of sp in the process. It would be nice if the rate that he asks for expensive items were reduced.
buy out that one dudes ornament store and set your prices at 41k. WIN WIN.
wow, stop that satan, this is too evil even for me
10/10
Expensive? I start to gain sp only when I'm doing Quentin, Saggi and Wizard..
All the rest makes me lose sp every day...
Ornaments guy here ^-^
Sorry for hoarding ornaments and reselling them for a profit. I saw holiday items bought up all the time and resold for a higher price, so I didn't think it would matter for me to do the same with ornaments.
Right now all the sP I make from my holiday hoarding shop goes towards clearing out the pawn shop, so I've decided that once the pawn shop is cleared, I'll half the ornament prices to 20k. Help me clear out the pawn shop and ornaments will become cheaper... how does that sound? :D
To me, Quentin is totally worth it. I do not support the main idea.
I don't think you need to apologize
As to the side issue, It is my opinion that if any particular user can't figure out that Quentin and Cinthia are going to do their intended job and make Holiday Items have value and then due to missing this piece of information all y'all then price your items too low (or somehow expect that other people are obligated to sell to you at this ridiculously low price), then someone like Zacharyis is entitled to re-sell them at a price closer to their true value.
Years long before Zacharyis started, I myself doing this with practically any item. Experience selling off my hoards tells me that Zacharis is selling all y'all these ornaments at a discount to their true value. They are doing you a favor.
Sorry, but I am not sorry to skip shops that have 1000000 of an item. I will literally buy from the shop under you even if its more expensive. So yea i also don't buy from ^ that dude.
I have no stance one way or the other on a user hoarding a bunch of items. If they want to waste their time and energy and sp buying up all the items, that's their business and will likely backfire at some point when staff releases tons of said item.
However your point there made no sense. I don't know what ornaments were at before (1k-15k, cheaper?) but if they were hovering there before being purposely bought to be inflated, how is the inflated price their "true value"? The "true value" of an item is the cost that it maintains in an actual free market. Someone buying them up to sell for a 40k set price is not somehow making this the new true value. It's just the inflated value.

Yea, I think most were 10k and under. I know I bought a bunch of letters to send to my friends and I was surprised when they were at like 800sP a piece. There was probably in influx of crap ornaments from people buying boxes trying to get the new dinosaurs, cats, and contest winning ornaments, which drove the price way down. But before lumi, I know some of them were at 100K a piece. So idk I feel like 40K is normal?
I'd only buy the ornaments from a variety of users when the second item is very cheap (1k or less). I don't see ornaments show up that often during questing, so it's not a huge deal to me, although I'd rather see them much cheaper of course.
