I am so sick and tired of going to change my HA and discovering yet another favorite piece has been "redrawn" and is now unusable. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me opt out of this garbage and get my beloved original pieces back.
The number of wearable wearables I have is shrinking with each redraw you do. Please stop. I bought these things because I liked them. I put a lot of time and effort into acquiring the means to buy them to begin with. For you to break into my wardrobe and wreck my clothes isn't fair. It's vandalism.
Unless staff revamped a custom wear you have published, they did not wreck your clothes.
They have revamped official site wears, and as they are official, they belong to the site.
Lol no. This is way too much effort to put into something just so a handful of people can continue using items with outdated art. You can't please everyone with every update. Though shit, that's life.
This is not neopets. There are no unconverted clothes.

Is this why I cannot make my clothes wear clothes?
But if we could opt-out of something, I think people should opt out of everything released after the point. Like a time freeze.
I guess I don't understand how updating older pieces to the higher standard of art on this site makes so much "unusable". I've been bummed before about how revamps make something look, but the implication I'm reading here is that EVERY revamp to EVERY item makes it TOTALLY unacceptable and they have but a puddle from which to choose, and I just don't see how this could be the case.
I don't think you know what quotation marks are used for... Also no.
This being a suggestion is quite ridiculous to me?
Ouch. Guys, you may not agree with a suggestion, but you don't have to jump on the hate train and make fun of the OP. That's just harsh.
- If there's a specific revamp that you're not happy with, I suggest making a feedback thread in the revamp subforum. If there's a larger issue with the revamp than just not liking it on a personal level, the staff artists may take your feedback into consideration.

I still love people's attitude against those who disagree.
I find some revamps disappointing as well. Sadly, most of the time it's just a huge bowl of "deal with it" unless you find enough people who think the same way.
"Stop updating old art to match the current style of the site, it's ruining everything." //CHILDISH FOOT STOMP
Lmao no.
No. Their site, their art, their right to change it whenever they want. There are revamps I don't like so I don't use the items. No biggie.
Not every revamp can please everyone. I mean there are some revamps that I hate, but I just accept them. Wanting to opt out of seeing revamps is just kind of ridiculous.
in this case can i opt out of the implemented stat cap?

The OP started the hate train with gems like
let me opt out of this garbage
How shocking that noone would show respect to a person who has no respect for the artists doing the revamps.
The sad thing is that some wearable needs to be updated no matter how hard we love them. It's just like pets? :c I get how frustrated you are. I've seen some Subeautique redrawn being amazing and others not so interesting (looking at your Solar Flare cough).
I don't think there needs to be an opt out option. There would be a lot of complication in my opinion? How would they be renamed? Surely, they can't keep the same name ..
Sure, you can go back to the no cap era
If you own a PBow, it will turn into dust, though
Just another point to tack on: there are literally thousands of wearables on site. Thousands. No joke. To have two+ copies of every individual wearable item would just be way too freaking much.
unfortunately, this would be pretty impractical. in order for an "opt out" system to work (for wearables alone), you'd need four images tied to any given item: the new item art and HA overlay, and the old item art and HA overlay. multiply that by every wearable on the site, and you've just doubled the number of images subeta has to have on their image servers.
not to mention, that then invites a new train of thought: either subeta will have to implement a new system where you somehow choose whether you want to see the new vs the old (both in item art and overlay art), or they just grandfather it in and say that only the people wearing it/keeping it/owning it right now will see the old art and every other version will be new moving forward.
neopets users will remember them taking this latter route for pet art in the converted vs unconverted pet catastrophe, and all that did was push a door wide open for a bustling black market that has invited a rash of accounts being broken into so unsavory types can pillage the status symbols hidden inside for some quick IRL cash. that, and it's built up a system of arbitrary status that does nothing but make the goals certain users have literally impossible to accomplish. you want your HA to be wearing the old overlay of this particular dress? tough titties, you bought it too late and are not part of this grandfathered clause, and that's that.
that, or subeta just stops updating item and pet art altogether, because there's always gonna be someone who liked the old version better, and that is the kind of stagnation that i dont think subeta could survive.
No. Because if it gets okay-ed for clothes, then people will want to opt out of revamped pets.
