I like dressing my avatar up in new year clothing at the new year. I also do that for the site anniversary, where I wear aniversary clothes. Not everything my HA wears is all you-must-notice-imsuperseriousaboutit-hautefashion. Sometimes I just want a laugh.
The Wardrobe was having trouble so I didn't notice at the time that my New Year avatar only had past year's stuff on. There's nothing in my Wardrobe that says 2015. A search on Subetalodge's Item Database only shows the January 2015 Collection.
Awww-wwwww!
I'm personally extremely glad they're moving away from those kinds of items. It's cute(?) for the first week of the year, and then it renders those items totally useless for...basically forever. & co., I'm looking at you.
We're not interested in releasing clothes that have no actual use after that one day anymore. Releasing and drawing clothes for the sole purpose of having things to release during new years / for people to increase their wardrobe count isn't going to be a thing anymore.

Peraonally I am thrilled that the site didn't do a ton of useless 2015 marked items. They end up even more rarely used than other items since they literally have the date on them.
I do wish there had been some compromise though, a wearable balloon or somethhing, but I am glad that there wasn't a ton of reasources wasted on filler items.
A balloon would be cool but yeah I'm glad we don't have those wears coming out anymore.
I wouldn't mind having one or two items with the year on it just for fun but I am really glad that they're not going to be a regular thing anymore, at least not to the extent of previous years because I never used them and there are things that would actually be really nice wears aside from things like the date emblazoned on them, or the fact that they're covered in number 8s, etc.
Amen.
Here's the thing about wear it only for one day ? I've got 15K wearables in my Wardrobe. I got those in there just by playing Subeta. I only really tried very much to stuff them in there when all y'all decided you were going to eliminate those avvies and coincidentally I was already very very close.
Even if I change every day and wear thirty unique items every day I stil won't have worn all of them. By your logic, you should stop making clothes entirely. Which items get worn or get decided "are wearable" is a personal choice.
Now maybe all y'all are party poopers, and that would be too bad. Whatever gets you more customers who are paying you is what you should do. I do wear other Years items repeatedly, every year, and more than one day. And I like the singing fish. I shall miss the new ones even if most of your customers don't.
Wow, I didn't even realize this. Probably because I hated them so much and don't care. The only ones I liked were the 2013 bra things because you can almost NOT tell it says 2013.
I agree that 20xx items are pointless, but remove the 20 and they could be used for several different things like anniversaries and birthdays.
There needs to be a "2015" sticker or stickers too.
And who cares if there are "20xx" items? What's the big deal? -_-
Staff wants to spend resources making items that are less gimmicky and more versatile.
Have less things like and and more things that we're actually going to use for more than just increasing our wardrobe count.
Releasing wearables just to say wearables were released brings nothing interesting in the long run
eh okay I see now. But what about stickers? Why were there no 2015 stickers? Ones that say "2015", I mean. There was one for previous years - or do staff feel the same way about the stickers too?
I really dislike the wears with 20xx on them, so I'm happy subeta chose not to do any this year!
I'm ok with this. Maybe 1 t-shirt just for nostalgia sake/people with TCs etc, but in general it's a good move.
There have been some really cute wears in the past that would have been even cuter/versatile if they weren't so 'branded'.
EX: The shape on all of the shirts is cute. At least they just say the Holiday not the year.
We are trying to move away from doing dates like 2015 on all items, not just wearables.
Honestly I did kind of like the stickers, because I feel like that's something people would collect IRL (kind of like yearly ornaments... or maybe that's just my mother). Even one sticker would be nice.
I mean, yea some previous years have had wayyyy too many items for New Years with the year plastered all over them. (I'm looking at you '12 and '13 =_= ) But I feel like one sticker isn't going to hurt anyone and would be super cute and nostalgic.
Yeah a sticker would have been nice, but we're nearly 4 weeks after new years day.
Shucks buster, better luck next year and enjoy instead.
