I am one of many thankful that they didn't ruin a nice wearable by slapping a year on it, rendering it almost unusable. Though I do think a sticker or something would have been nice, so I am in the odds there.
I'm definitely glad about the wearables not being dated. I don't have feelings one way or another about stickers and such.
I mean... Subeta has to have time too. If it's not 2015 in Subeta, that's one thing, but since most of the holidays reference "Earth" timeframes, I kinda assumed the world was modern/current/same date format.
I don't really see how a sticker is immersion breaking, and it doesn't fit the 'usability' argument either. If anything, making a sticker collectible/souviner-y makes it fit better imo.
Just saying, totally get the wearables (although again, I'd be fine with one novelty item like a t-shirt, glasses, balloon, etc) but not quite the "NO DATES PERIOD" thing.
The problem is, if they did a sticker or a plushie you'd have people asking about wearables. Consistency is always best in situations like these. I am in full support of moving away from items that only have meaning/value for a few days out of the year to the general populace.

As true as that is, in 2 years time we'll have this same board asking about this all over again and it just makes sense to do away with it completely. Its the same thing with the "Moving away from Real World Items" that happened. It was for the best, I think.

more like "thank god no 2015 wearables" The past years the 201* wears lived up to the description of "tacky"

I've had no issue with the stickers but I never cared for the wearables with a year written all over them so I'm glad that they won't be drawn any longer; gives the artists more time for prettier stuff I hope. :)
Awesome, I'm glad to hear staff are doing away with these. They were fine as wardrobe padding but I never had any interest in actually using them and they really did become obsolete/pointless far too quickly.
I like the shift away from a large quantity of items that are strictly identified by the year. However, with that said, I do feel that there should be a few items (a balloon, a single shirt, stockings, stickers, plushies/beanbags) that do celebrate it!
I feel that people often forget that items on Subeta have other purposes than the original intended use, ie people sending anonymous gifts to fit in with a user created plot, or the multipurpose TC. I hope there isn't a strict shift away but that some things are still around.
I don't mind the wears with 15 on it being omitted but I do have a treasure chest for my hubby that has an item that has the year on it for every year we are together. So one or two items would have been nice. But a 15 plushie will do I suppose :p adds to wl to remember

personally this is no biggie to me. Yes it was nice if you are going for plushies/wardrobe/stickers for achievements but they were tacky.
Glad that we can maybe see some new and wonderful things on site!
I don't feel we need 2015 (or anymore clothing) that goes towards the Date. Items on the other hand, are nice though, because they can towards things like TC's, Pet's stories, and collections, etc.
But clothing just (as said before) would become a use for maybe a week or so and then never to be worn again kind of seems like a waste.

Just wanted to point out that a common theme is, we understand you wear the item more than one day a year, but the majority of the users (as seen by posts in this thread) do not and are glad they are moving away from it.
I don't wear the items, maybe 1 or 2 ever? So moving away from those type items doesn't bother me. Sorry to those few who like them but the items aren't worth the time to make :(
