I seriously think that there should be a quick stock option or a select-all button for plushies and beanbags getting put into collections. I'm sure this has already been suggested, but I'm going here anyway. It would make collecting things so much easier, don't you think?

My entire inventory is just full of plushies and beanbags that I did not sort yet, and if there were some sorting button, it would help a lot.

I don't get that at all. They should be easy to put into collections.

Well it's not me, it's staff's word. Personally I don't care, the only reason I'd prefer the quickstock is in case I get a plushie from a quest that I don't have, I could quickstock my whole inventory just in case instead of having to rely on whether or not I recognize it. But I don't find it necessary.

I have a feeling this is one of those issues staff is likely to flip on soon (or has already, I have a nagging feeling that this was recently mentioned as being considered but that might have been a dream idk)

I wouldn't mind if it was changed, I have a rons of plushies and beanbags in my vault because of the sole fact it is a pain in the butt to add to collections.

I think it'd be great if they did this, but I can kind of see why they don't want to. If they had a quickstock option for every collection, it would get pretty cluttered, plus you'd have to make sure you checked the right collection box or it won't go in. Of course, they could get around this with an "Add to Collections" option, but that would probably require a lot of coding so everything sorts correctly. Still, I hope it's something they consider for the future.

Given collections can already be nearly impossible to finish, I find that argument to be silly and rather counterproductive as goals are supposed to be fun to work towards :/ So I hope it's on the list of things to be eventually reviewed, maybe that would incentivize more people to try. And then, you know, buy more CS collectibles, spend more time on site earning sp to buy regular items, etc.

[edit] Not necessarily QS, but a way to add multiple things at once.

First off, an all-caps title is not needed. Please change it? We'll see it just as easily without the caps :)

As much as it'd be a wonderful thing to have a quick-stock for plushies, beanbags and trading cards, it'll never happen.

Think of it this way - in RL, when you collect something, you put them into your collection one-by-one as you get them, right? There's no way of Quickstocking anything. If you cared deeply about a collection you'd spend a lot of time and care properly displaying your collection. That's the way they have it on here. They want you to take the time to fill your collection so that you really earn your collection awards and achievements.

HOWEVER, I WOULD love an option where, if you already have the item in your collection, the Add link is removed; just like when you've already read a book to your pet

I don't like this idea. I mean, one thing I could get behind is removing the option to add it if you already have it, like books read to a pet, but this is supposed to be challenging and I think that having a QS option takes away from that.

Try to think of collections as a marathon. Don't think to shovel in plushies by the bucket load - it's not fun. Take your time and enjoy it. It'll feel much better when you look back and see that you collected a few hundred (or over a thousand!) without knowing that you did it in a few clicks.

This I would like.

placing plushies and whatever else into collections is not fun to begin with. It is annoying going through a process of copy and paste name and search account for item, or clicking on each item to add to collection, only to be yelled at by that thing that you already have it, and if you have a slow connection, you're going to get really pissed off quickly. An option like above would make life easier, and would not detract from this apparent fun you speak of. Personally, if a quick stock option cannot exist, be it on the shop page or even the individual collections page itself, I would find I'd roll my eyes less and get annoyed less if when I clicked on the item, the option to add to the collection simply did not appear if it was already part of my collection. It was exceedingly helpful when it was done for books as some of us have many pets and many books to read. I really don't see why plushies, beanbags or trading cards are any different, seeing as many of us have tons of all three.

Yes, yes, yes. It's very tedious to have to search and find on your own. I can understand filling each collection one-by-one, but, like in RL, you know what you already have in your collection(s), so why can't it be the same here, please? It'd be as much at-a-glance as it can be online :)

I don't get why people don't have the items NOT in their collection on their wishlist. It is really easy to see if you need it or not by the box around it or lack thereof.

The trading Card collection, maybe. There are only just over 300 items. I decided one day to add all the cards I didn't have yet to it. Just over 200 items. It took a few hours(Thank You Subetalodge). All the collections? Thousands of items.

I agree that it makes life easier afterwards, but it's not something that users will probably ever make common practice because it just takes so much extra effort. Heh, I actually got fixated on adding all the cards to my wishlist because I set a goal for myself to snipe the card shop until I had the full collection. I did so happily for a few weeks, and then realized that the promo cards weren't restocking. About 1/3 of the collection is made up of them, and they're all retired. FML

Back on subject, a quickstock option would be nice, but I would merrily settle for a lack of the option to "Add to Collection" if it's already there, just like with books.

I'm glad that this isn't something that's happened. I agree with the idea that it should be more of an effort. Also, I can totally see people complaining if this was implemented because they'd be constantly adding stuff to their collections that they didn't intend to add and couldn't remove.

I like the suggestion of removing the 'add to collection' link. Whilst I have all the plushies, beanbags, and trading cards on my wishlist I do have some re-added to my wishlist for my gallery that I have in my collection already or I may have added it to my gallery not thinking if it needs to go into my collection.
