It used to be when I bought something from the Main Shops, if there were multiple in stocks, I could enter my price and then refresh the resulting page after 5 seconds to buy it again. Now though, I have to go back to the 'store front', /hit refresh/ and then I go through it all again. Same for on shop search pages.
I don't know what this solves, but it makes buying things from shops to recycle or frag very annoying.
My feedback would be that it's an unnecessary hassle.
I always just go back one page, click for a new cache, and pay again. It's a little slower but not nearly as slow as yours. So maybe that will help.
No, this is for items that don't require a turing test. For items that do, I do the same. But for the ones without, I used to be able to just refresh the buy page.
Honestly I don't think it should be changed anyway. If we go back to your way it's far too easy for someone to just buy up all of the item and no one else has a chance to get it. Especially with newer or more rare items. Tbh the old system was kinda dumb imo. Glad it changed.
There's still a 5 second wait time, the only difference is now I have to spend those 5 seconds going back, refreshing and all that hassle, instead of just waiting. The 5 second wait already keeps people from buying all. And rare items still have the turing test on them, which I have no problem with. And actually, the way you just described in your first post has also been 'nerfed', so to speak, by this. I just tried, refreshed the turing image and got a 'this item has already been purchased'. Meaning I have to go back to the store front with those items too.
I'm talking about a change implemented maybe like 20 minutes ago, cause I did not have this issue earlier today.
I totally agree. It is going totally suck for restockers, fraggers, and recyclers. I am hoping that they will change it back after the Free Shop closes. I think that is why it was implemented because you could refresh a page and buy the same thing again if it was in stock.

What was the question?
Really? I can't imagine refreshing a 'bought' page will ever work, not when you have to wait like 6 minutes. The chances of that same item still being in stock is like... Nothing. But maybe. :x Whatever the reason, I hope it's nothing and goes away soon. Cause this sucks. I'm buying stuff for Recycling now and I'm tempted to just ignore stuff from the main shops, that's how annoying it is.
Tbh I don't think it's that bad. It's a little extra hassle but it's not a big deal.
it is very annoying. i can't even buy stuff from main shop when someone else buy the same item a little faster. i had to go back and refresh and pray that i was alone this time.
Really! If it was in stock again after the 6 minute wait.
For those of you having problems buying a second item, click backspace (the icon, not the key) twice and that will at least take you back to the item you are buying and you won't have to scroll through the shop again.

That is a good point, I'd not thought of that. If someone goes to the buy page at the same time you do, it means who ever is first gets it and negates the other person trying to buy. So it basically just makes it EVEN HARDER for people to buy stuff at the same time. It's not a 'sold out entirely', now it's a 'sorry you tried to buy that one particular item someone else already bought. Still in stock, but you just went for the wrong one.' Slowing down the entire buying process for everyone. (And it shows, because there are usually never this many Recycle items in the main shops. I'm seeing them all right now.)
That works if you're in the shop, not if you're in shop search. Then you just have to refresh. No choice... :x
, no I know, it's not a big deal, but the extra hassle just makes it less enjoyable. And if a change makes the site less enjoyable when it doesn't seem to have any benefits, I feel like it should be changed back.
I'm really not enjoying this change. Restocking took long enough as it was.
perhaps add "back to search" button too instead of just "back to shop"? or make to wait longer than 5 sec?
i somehow benefit from this new inconvenience. before, i had to wait a few second after buying before i can buy another. now, pressing back and refresh took more than 5 seconds, so no more "wait 5 seconds" error page :P muahaha. i love slow internet.
[edit] i find "back to last page" button in the "this item already purchased" page extremely annoying. nobody want to go back to an outdated page if we are prevented from buying. perhaps add "return to shop" button here as well? when i made a mistake here, i feel trapped in this page and previously outdated back page.
Was this literally just added? Why was there no site update for it? Isn't that the point of the site update ping group? To let the userbase know when pointless small changes are made to the site. This was how I mass-buy books for Alex so I didn't have to pay 50K for a common rarity in the user shops XD So much for that. OH WELL.
This was not the intended use of main shops, you are meant to have to go back and buy an item again instead of being able to refresh on the buy page.
Because it was a bug that you could mass purchase items that was introduced when we removed the captcha for items < 50 rarity.

Oh holy crap, I forgot that all items used to have captchas. O_O Well, forgot what I said!
I noticed this started happening last night. I do not like it. I keep getting the 'this item has already been purchased' page when there are obviously more than one in the shop, and by the time I go back, even if luck would have it the item is still there, by the time I try to buy it, some one else has gotten it. Not cool when you only have dial-up. Yes, some of us do still live in the dark ages.. please for that sake change it back.

I always thought the 5 second wait was intended to prevent mass buying. The system as it was made it convenient, less typing, less reloading of useless pages, etc.
If 5 seconds still makes it "too easy" to mass buy, then make it 10 seconds or something, don't make it more annoying to buy.

I don't genuinely really much care one way or another, but it is a gigantic hassle for those attempting to participate in the Item Drive game, since the basic premise to that is restocking multiple quantities of generally lower rarity items.
