TC and Species Help for Root...

So I'm trying out a few different ideas for my new pet (thank !) but I'm not having much luck finding anything that matches my inspiration.
The two concepts I'm currently working with are:
1.) A primordial creature starting out in an amoebic or bacterial state and evolving over many eons...
Pet Color Possibility for 1
2.) A controlling force of evolution, like an advanced species or someone that can manipulate time
Pet Color Possibility for 2
I'd appreciate it if you could pick the one you like the best and offer item suggestions, even if the type of item isn't on the list. I haven't really worked with either concept before on here so I am a bit lost.

I really like both concepts, but the prehistoric one is a totally new one I haven't seen before so I'll focus on trying to find stuff for that!

Root is a really cool name, and the first possibility sounds like a fascinating pet concept :D

I've actually got three ideas, the two listed here and another which would have him as an Ent-like creature and most likely tied into my elven story line... These two were just really giving me trouble. LOL

Sorry I'm late to this, but I have to say your first character concept seems so cool and original, so I'm gonna put my vote towards that. As for tc, it's going to be hard to find things didn't mention but I'll try to find a few.
I really like . I think the Rift/Lightning/Electricity themed TC sounds really cool too, especially if you could color-coordinate it. My thought though is... going into this thread, I imagined an Aenoid! You know, the name Root, and your username kinda suggest that that would be the way it was gonna go, lol. I was way off.
