Please, never again? I don't understand ANY value in creating two achievements with no difference. All it creates is another "In Progress" achievement that can't be earned. There is no prestige in the achievement, it doesn't have it's own forum title. An achievement is an achievement and when there's like 500 released in the last month, it's very insignificant.
I had to give the feedback. The two achievements don't hurt anyone, but there was zero value to it, just confusion.
I have to ditto this, I feel like it should have been two tiers, with the prize at the first tier? Unless it's because cumulative tracking is still broken?

It's to give people who failed at getting 25 ghosts in 30 seconds a second chance.
There will apparently be something else planned in the future for people who actually got 25 ghosts in 30 seconds. Probably more plot points or something
Yeah I don't understand why it wasn't just a tiered achievement with only one prize for the first tier.
As I posted in a different thread, it seems... silly.
Why can't they be one achievement, with two tiers, and the lower tier just gives out the prize. So, everyone gets the item, everyone gets at least one achievement, everyone wins.
Instead, we have a silly achievement sitting there that we can, in no way, achieve. Doesn't that defy the point of achievements?
I already made a post on this but I think it bears repeating: this was a bad idea.

I personally dont like it like this as well even though Im not a huge achievement seeker.
That said, I do try to get as many achievements that are relatively simple such as this one.
I'm trying to get as many achievements as possible and seeing that one not highlighted is making me itchy.
I agree with everyone else who posted. Having an achievement that we can't get because we got the "better" one is pretty dumb.
I also thought this was needlessly complicated. I don't think tiers would have been technically possible with the way tiered achievements work, but I think even if the achievements were just changed to say something like "Catch all the ghosts on your first try" and "Catch all the ghosts on your second+ try", it would make it a lot less confusing.
I totally agree.
Achievements have been a thing for long enough that I don't understand why this happened. This sort of thing is exactly why we have tiered achievements, so why wasn't it done that way?

I think it's fine. After all, Subeta isn't like a steam or console game where you are tracked for 100% completion. Also I've always liked the idea of branching achievements where you can get either a or b.
I just don't see the big deal here, since both parties get the same reward. Or is that the problem?
argh =/ now I can never get the other achievement... well, at least I cleared 25 ghosts in less than 30 sec :D
i think there should just be one achievement. whoever tried clearing the ghost will get it. one prize. it doesn't seem necessary for there to be two achievements.
I agree with what everyone has said. Doesn't seem normal to have two with the same prize. If anything have maybe two different prizes.
I also believe, this should be 1 tiered achievement with 2 different forum titles.
Also, the game is cute and should make it into the games room ;)
Yet, I anticipate we will get some more shots in the other rooms.
I agree in that I just don't think it was a good idea, didn't really make any sense and was rather unprecedented. The only other time there's been 2 achievements released and you were only intended to get one is when you had to make a conscious choice of who's side to take, that I know of. I just don't really understand the why of it? the 15 ghost achievement could very well end up being more rare (read:"prestigious") which would just make even less sense.
I cleared 25 ghosts in 30 seconds, so I got that achievement. But it confused me a lot to see there was an achievement for clearing less that I had apparently not cleared at all. It made me feel better that the prizes were the same, so I wasn't missing out. And I read in a couple of places that it was to give people more of a chance, if they couldn't clear 25 in 30. But I still think it's unnecessarily confusing.
I too was confused over why there are two achievements, with the same prize, and why I didn't get the second one. I spent a few minutes trying to restart the game until I refreshed the page and triggered the next part. I didn't understand what was going on until Rah posted on the news comments and I saw the post. That should have been stated in the news post.
